I paid A$5400.00 for the Intrepid "India Expedition: Sikkim, Assam and Nagaland" tour in Jan/Feb 2026, with the primary incentive being to enter the restricted area of Nagaland. I wrongly assumed Intrepid were aware of entry permit requirements into Nagaland, with the group prepared with passport photos, as instructed by Intrepid prior to the tour's commencement. We flew from Kolkata to Nagaland, only to immediately get deported to Assam, as Intrepid had failed to arrange entry permits for our group's members. In subsequent correspondence with Intrepid, I was consistently dismissed by their customer service representative. Despite paying close to A$10,500.00 for the flights, pre-accom, transfers and tour, Intrepid refunded A$500 for their negligence. I maintain this compensation was hardly fair considering the time and money I had invested to join this tour. Aside from Nagaland, I could have seen this region on my own for a fraction of the A$10,500.00 price tag. I have resolved to not put my trust in Intrepid again. Intrepid are quick to take your money, though the quality and itinerary of this tour was woefully inadequate, adding insult to injury.Show more

As advised in our online information this is a tour that is susceptible to frequent changes in permit requirements, and regulations can change without notice. In this event- also noted- replacement activities and amendments are provided to our travellers. We do want to acknowledge the disappointment in this outcome, especially knowing how special this region of the world is and notably a bucket list adventure for many people. Understanding that flight costing and extra services differ between travellers, we can only compensate for the components Intrepid provides. We apologize that you felt dismissed by our representatives, and that is never the intention- especially when we do our best to provide real time support in cases such as yours. It never happened. As previously advised I did not get a visa for India ao no trip. Lost everything Flights Trip. Pre and Post accommodation.VFS Global are the worst agency ever. If you send an email you get an auto reply saying the will contact 2 day after inquiry when they do respond they do not answer question but instead ask another question. Another 2 days wasted. Their phone inquired service is automated and directs to the useless email service.I lost everything and on contacting travel insurer was told that since I did not get a visa lnsurance did not cover that situation So complete loss. Will never go to India and will never deal tourradar again.Show more

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
