My incredible trip to Egypt impressed me even more because of my experiences. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel's location, right in front of the pyramids. The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the visit to the Pyramids of Giza. Standing in front of these ancient wonders was a surreal experience, and our knowledgeable guide provided fascinating insights into their history and construction. The Sphinx, with its enigmatic expression, was equally impressive. Another unforgettable experience was cruising down the Nile River. The serene beauty of the river, combined with the stunning views of temples and villages along the banks, made for a truly relaxing and picturesque journey. The staff on the cruise were exceptionally hospitable, ensuring our comfort and enjoyment throughout. Exploring the temples of Luxor and Karnak was like stepping back in time. The intricate carvings and towering columns were a testament to the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization. I was particularly moved by the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of pharaohs are hidden beneath the desert sands. The bustling markets of Cairo offered a different kind of adventure. The vibrant colors, exotic scents, and lively atmosphere made for an exciting shopping experience. I enjoyed haggling with local vendors and discovering unique souvenirs to bring back home. Throughout the trip, I was impressed by the warmth and friendliness of the Egyptians. My guide was the best; her hospitality made me feel at home and added a personal touch to my trip. Overall, my trip to Egypt was an unforgettable adventure filled with history, culture, and breathtaking sights. I highly recommend visiting this remarkable country to anyone seeking a unique and enriching travel experience.

This was my sixth vacation booking through TourRadar, and it was a seamless experience. I was able to conveniently compare all the dates and destinations I desired in one location. I opted for Vacations To Go Travel’s 10-Day Egypt Experience Tour (Domestic flight) due to its comprehensive coverage of my itinerary. The booking process was exceptionally user-friendly, allowing me to make specific requests and obtain information promptly. We extended our stay by adding pre- and post-accommodation services, and we opted for all the available optional tours. As three sisters, it was imperative for us to share a larger room in our hotel and during our Nile cruise. Vacations To Go Travel ensured that this was accommodated for us. Our guides, the remarkable Sara, Michael, and Islam, were exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful, and considerate. The transfers and drivers were both smooth and safe, and the accommodations at the Cairo hotel and Nile cruise were comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and clean. Our optional hot air balloon ride in Luxor was an extraordinary experience, although we must exercise caution regarding the videographers and photographers who approach individuals while embarking the balloon. While a reasonable price of $20 USD per group would have been appropriate for the photos we received, the cost of $20 USD per person was excessive. Again with photographers and videographers, they were present when we embarked the carriage for Edfu and also on the cruise ship. Be aware that they will attempt to sell you the photos. We were also interested in acquiring local handmade alabaster and were shown a workshop/museum in Luxor. We did purchase some lovely original handmade statues of quality, however, we also purchased other standard pieces, such as a tea light candle holder, which we found in Cairo at a lower cost. The same principle applied to the perfume and perfume glassware store in Aswan, where prices were high. For instance, we paid $20 USD for the smallest size empty glass perfume bottle when the exact same product was available for $5 USD and $3.50 USD in other stores in Cairo. The actual bottles of perfume flower essence sold at the Aswan store were also overpriced for a similar product in other establishments in Cairo. The store owners may assert that their essence is more pure or has longer staying power and shelf life, but since returning home, we have conducted a comparative analysis of all the perfumes and have found them to be of comparable quality. The overall tour and optional tours with Vacations To Go Travel were exceptionally well-executed. All arrangements were meticulously planned, ensuring seamless transfers and exceptional service. Our Egypt adventure was truly remarkable, and I wholeheartedly recommend Vacations To Go Travel.

We just finished the 10-day tour of Egypt and had a memorable time. The two main contacts - John and Michael (who are brothers, by the way) were present at the airport or hotel in order to co-ordinate the schedules. Both of them were well-organized and personable. Rarely a moment went by without them demonstrating care for our comfort, and rarely did a moment go by without one of them laughing. Our flights, bus rides, van tours, and cruise excursions all went off without a hitch. Our guide for the Nile River Cruise was Mansoor and he accompanied us from Luxor to Aswan. He knows his stuff. Full stop. He was confident, well-spoken, and led us to hieroglyphics, structures, and artwork that other guides did not show their groups. We started early each morning, he kept a good, structured pace, and we beat the crowds every single time in Luxor, Abu Simbel, and the Nubian villages. By the end of 4 days, we considered him as a family member. Our guide in Cairo was Bebo, and what a nice, laid-back person. He shined especially when leading us through Old Cairo, St. Mark’s, and the Hanging Church. Bebo pointed out different architectural features and relics that helped us understand the story of the Holy Family’s stay in Cairo. He also showed us the ins and outs of Alexandria (Roman Theatre, Alexandria Library, and the Pompeii Pillar). The restaurants selected by the Vacations to Go staff were also top-notch. Authentic Egyptian food was tasty, and the fruit drinks were fresh. Finally, the drivers were also outstanding. Egyptian traffic is crazy at all times of the day, but our drivers showed courtesy towards others, passed at safe speeds, and displayed smooth driving and cool emotions even during stressful traffic jams. Bravo!

This was a perfect first tour of Egypt to view the Pyramids and temples. The organisation of the trip was without fault as every part of our journey once we arrived was handled. The guides were were both very welcoming and excellent in their delivery of the various destinations. The tour provided a very good coverage of stops from the top to the bottom of Egypt...very much recommended.

From the moment we arrived at Cairo airport and were met by Michael everything was so well organised. All the tour guides were amazing not only informative but friendly and flexible. Everything went like clockwork. They even provided us with a handy tipping guide which we even shared with some other travellers we met on the cruise it was so helpful. We added an optional day trip to Alexandria too. We saw some absolutely amazing sights and would also recommend the hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings. The cruise along the Nile was great. We mostly did our sightseeing in the morning or evening leaving us to relax on the boat in the heat of the day (temperatures over 40 degrees) You will be amazed by the sights and you really do have to see it to appreciate it all.

I recently went on a 10-day tour through Egypt, and it was an incredible journey from start to finish. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, taking us to all the must-see spots like the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, where standing in front of such iconic monuments felt surreal. One of the best parts was the Nile cruise, which was both peaceful and packed with amazing sights. The ship was comfortable, and the staff were attentive, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. We visited beautiful temples like Kom Ombo and Edfu along the way, which were brought to life by our guide’s fascinating stories. I also appreciated how well-organized everything was — from airport pickups to local tours, everything ran smoothly. The guides were not only knowledgeable but also personable, sharing a mix of historical facts and local tips that made the experience more meaningful. If you’re looking for a well-rounded introduction to Egypt that covers all the major highlights without feeling rushed, I’d highly recommend this tour.

Very well organised tour, communication with Vacations to Go Travel was very clear & prompt. Airport pick-ups and drop-offs all very smooth. They accommodated our seven hour delayed arrival (courtesy of British Airways) without any problem! Our Egyptologist guides (Bassem & Mansour) were both exceptional; very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful with anything we asked or needed. Being a small group of six we felt we had a very personal service from them both. I think it would be very difficult to achieve a tour like this independently, particularly in 10 days. The guides make everything simpler and quicker, from purchasing tickets at the monuments to organising transport to and from the hotel & ship, making for a very relaxed & stress-free experience. The hotel in Cairo (Steigenberger El Tahrir) was clean & comfortable and had an wide selection for breakfast. WiFi was good and available everywhere. The lunches we had as part of the tours in and around Cairo were both authentic & excellent. The cruise ship (Esmerelda) was great with delicious food - very wide choice and good quality. Clean, large cabin, friendly staff, with amusing & unusual towel art! The only thing that let it down was the WiFi - difficult to connect & reconnect to, non-existent in the restaurant and the free package (1GB) stopped working prematurely. It wasn't a big problem for us as we had a generous cellular data package, having bought a SIM at Cairo airport. The tour involves quite a few early starts (particularly if the options for a balloon ride & a trip to Abul Simbel [both excellent] are taken), but this means monuments can be visited when it's cooler and they are slightly less crowded. I think it would be very difficult to achieve a tour like this independently, particularly in 10 days. The guides make everything simpler, from purchasing tickets at the monuments to organising transport. Overall this tour exceeded my expectations and was very good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour or company and would use them again.

    Asked on October 22nd, 2024

I would like to book a tour to Egypt starting around Feb 1, 2025. I have a medical alert certified Service Dog (diabetic alert) that travels everywhere with me . I need to know (before I book) if my dog would be allowed. My dog has traveled all over the world, been in two trafalgar two week long tours. She is trained, hypoallergenic and does not shed. She attends my third grade class with me every day.

Rest assured, we will provide you with all the information you need before you proceed with your booking.

      TravelerWritten October 2024

I am a teacher. I travel with just my dog, no other person. I prefer to travel in tours so I can meet others.

    • Vacations to go travelOperatorWritten October 2024

I would like to confirm that your service dog is permitted to accompany you on domestic flights within Egypt. However, please note that not all hotels and Nile cruises allow all kinds of pets. We can offer you a private overland tour in Egypt, utilizing unclassified clean and comfortable accommodations. Please keep in mind that your dog may not be allowed to enter temples, ancient monuments, and museums. Therefore, we recommend that you keep your service dog with the driver in the car during those visits.
