The accommodations were comfortable, and the people in both countries were welcoming. I only wish I could have stayed longer in Morocco.

The country has a lot to offer, with its rich history and impressive monuments. Thanks to Vacations to Go Travel, we were lucky to visit the GEM, the new Grand Egyptian Museum partially. The hot air balloon experience was fantastic, and the locals were friendly. Egypt is affordable – a Koshary meal was only $2. We loved our time there and wished we could stay longer. Big thanks to Walid, our super guide who was always there for us. The Jaz hotel wasn't outstanding, but it was okay, and the Alyssa cruise was pretty good. Shoutout to the drivers and Michael, our transfer man – you all did a great job!

Be prepared to be on the move most of the days, and experience some inconvenient and challenging situations. But it is worth it to experience Egypt more broadly.

Can not say enough about how easy Vacations to go made travel. They take care of everything. Magdy was great prior to the trip with answering all questions literally within minutes. What usually can be a pretty daunting experience going through airports in a foreign country goes by with ease. Michael picked us up as soon as we got off the plane in Cairo and immediately broke the ice even at 3 in the morning, being very friendly, and informative. Took us step by step from the airport right to the checkin in at our hotel. Our guide in Cairo , Walid , did a great job providing 5000 years of Egyptian history as well as what’s going on in the country these days. Our second guide Hasan, really felt like was an old friend. He seems to be the mayor of every city we went to. Knows everyone and always helps in getting you the best deal at the souks. He took us to all the local spots tourist don’t usually see which was great. Egypt is huge on aggressive market places , nobody means any harm they are just trying to make some money to feed their families , as we all do, but when Hasan took us to market places where the locals shop they barely cared to hassle us, they were going about their own daily lives. We were able to see how the locals live in the cities and villages. Hasan even had a local pharmacy come onto our ship to get us a Covid test before our return. We were very lucky in having the first half our trip basically private and we had one other traveler with us on the second half of the trip, so the detail to attention was impeccable. I wouldn’t expect that to be everyone’s trip to be that small of a group as travel will start ramping up again. But it really made such a difference , we were basically on a private tour for two people at a third of the price it would usually cost to get that level of service. Thank you everyone at vacations to go!

Overall the tour was very good. Waleed is an excellent tour guide and we enjoyed the time with him.
Scheduling could be improved. The second last day of the Egypt part of the tour had us waiting around in Luxor on the cruise vessel with no cabin access for 6 hours. The second last day of the Egypt part of the tour had us waiting around in Luxor on the cruise vessel with no cabin access for 6 hours. We were able to use the top open deck (but it was blowing a gale) or the bar area (but it stank of tobacco).
The flight from Luxor to Cairo was arranged for 2300 hours and we did not arrive back to the Cairo hotel until 0300 hours. There was an optional tour to Alexandria on this day (departing 0530 hours) that we wanted to take but did not take because of no sleep time.
The tour is advertised and promoted as 13 days highlights of Egypt and Jordan but the flight from Egypt to Jordan is not included, and when we arrived in Jordan we find that the tour is subcontracted to another tour operator.
Fortunately the Jordan tour operator provided excellent service particularly our driver Ahmet who managed to rearrange the schedule so that we could spend a full day in Petra. The accommodation in Amman was good but the Edom Hotel in Petra and the Ramada Dead Sea Resort were sub standard.
In retrospect it would have been better to have arranged the Jordan trip ourselves and booked direct. This would have allowed us to have input into the quality of hotels and would have saved on cost as there is obviously some doubling up on profit margins.
We were expecting to experience the floatation phenomenon at the dead sea but the hotel's location did not provide access.
Hotel in Cairo was is disrepair and shouldn't be used until corrctions arw may. Bathroom right off the reception area is broken, carpet hadn't been vacuum in ages.
The tour was great. We saw some amazing sites. An experience of a lifetime!

Israel Tour organized by Walaa at Vacations To Go, a company based in Cairo, Egypt was beyond awesome. This tour far exceeded all our expectations and was thoroughly enjoyable in every aspect. There were absolutely no hitches or setbacks for the entire duration of the tour starting in Cairo and ending in Tel Aviv. It was smooth sailing from beginning to end.
Walaa, was exceedingly resourceful in the planning phase and responded promptly to my numerous questions and also provided additional advice regarding optional tours and upgrades. Representatives from the company promptly met us on arrival and assisted us all the way through from acquiring our visas to welcoming us to the hotel and briefing us accordingly. Likewise, similar courtesies were also extended to us through Jordan and Israel by the resident tour companies selected by Walaa.
All internal flight arrangements were also expertly handled. The 4 day Nile River cruise on the Sonesta Star Goddess was awe inspiring. During our stay in Egypt, all tour guides were highly trained Egyptologists who were all knowledgeable on every aspect of the history of their country. Waleed in Cairo and Hassan during the duration of the Nile cruise excelled in every aspect. Similarly thanks to Khalid who was excellent in leading us through Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Thanks also to our tour drivers, Ahamad in Jordan and Awad in Israel who made our stay memorable in those countries and was always willing to assist in every way.
Vacations To Go led by Walaa and her team is a highly efficient and reputable company which I will recommend to anyone considering a tour to that region. It was a most memorable and enjoyable holiday!!!

The tour takes you to see so many ancient Egyptian temples that are anywhere from 2000 to 4000 years old, and many of them are extremely well preserved.

The lodgings were clearly once extremely nice 10-20 years ago and are no longer 5-star in the classic sense, but for the price they are quite nice and clean.
Egypt is an interesting country where I feel a tour is required for most people in order to not be overwhelmed (I ran into someone at the airport who did not take a tour and hated their experience), and this tour does a great job of taking care of everything for you and making sure you're prepared for what you're about to experience.
Highly recommended.

He was kind, supportive, loving, attentive and respectful to everyone. He went above and beyond for each and every one of us throughout the whole trip, from the beginning to the very end of the tour. The downfall of this tour was definitely the accommodation, while the boat we cruised down the Nile in was ok, the rest were horrible. Dirty and the food was honestly terrible, even the simple piece of bread. If we didn’t have Waleed as our guide this trip would not have been as good as it was. Waleed deserves an award for his excellence.

He carefully explained ahead of time exactly what we would be doing and if we were given free time, he made sure everyone knew the meeting place and time. Never did we feel alone or unsafe. We also appreciated that we always had both a driver and a guide with us to help us navigate airports or sites visited. We were a little disappointed in our room on the Nile Cruise boat- it was desperately in need of a few repairs and painting but the staff on board the boat were very pleasant and saw to all our needs. We thought the light and sound show was just OK- did provide lots of information but not that interesting visually. All the vehicles we traveled in were very comfortable and it was nice to see a restroom on the large buses. We would definitely recommend this tour.

I had read a number of books on the subject but walking several acres of a temple looking for Alexander the greats cartouche without a guide would have been impossible.
Having visited a few temples on my own before the tour, I missed having a guide to explain why I should care about a pile of rocks or a few shattered statues. A good guide brings 5000 year old broken debris back to life.
Waleed shared the early mornings and late evenings and was always available for discussion not only of the ancient sights but also of modern day Egypt and it's struggles in the 2100 st century .

The tour guide, Walleed is impressively knowledgeable and made sure we understood the history and the meaning of the sites we visited. He is not just a guide, he is an excellent teacher. Both Walleed and Magdy, the trip coordinator, were superb at ensuring everyone in the tour was comfortable and safe. There were some long days, rising well before sunrise to get to the sites, but it was well worth it as the sites we visited are awe inspiring. The accommodations were good, clean and safe. The hotel in Cairo is on a highway, so it felt somewhat isolated and required taxis/uber to get anywhere, but it was clean and safe. The river cruise ship was clean and comfortable, with spacious suites. The base tour cost does not include entrance fees to the different sites, so the guides ask that we pay these fees in one lump sum at the start of the trip so they can purchase tickets for the entire group at each site. This worked great as it saved a lot of time standing in line. They also ask that we pay upfront for a daily amount to be used for tips, which also worked well as we didn't have to worry about who to tip as we moved between hotels and tourist sites. Some people in the tour were put off by these fees, but Tour Radar had sent all this information ahead of time in multiple emails, so it was all clear to me. Egypt is a country rich in history, and the pyramids, temples, and burial sites are amazing in scale and beauty, and help understand what was a very complex society that goes back 5,000 years. I highly recommend visiting the country and highly recommend working with Walled, Magdy, and the folks at Vacations to Go.

The group was on a "need to know" basis the entire time, and often folks had no idea of what was happening, or when. Guide lectures were long and tedious, and it took our guide three to four times as long to present the same info that other similar guides were presenting to their groups. Don't think I saw one smile from either guide accompanying us the entire time. No introductions at the beginning, or effort to get to know us or each other. No country overview re. education, religion, etc. until the very last day of the trip when we had 8 hours in a bus with only one stop to use facilities or stretch our legs. Accommodations (with the exception of the arrival and departure hotel) were filthy, and the NIle cruise boat was absolutely crusted with dirt and grime. Food buffets were a cattle call, and at the resort in Hurghada, food was only presented hot at the inception of the buffet time. Resort itself was flanked by abandoned hotels being used as homeless encampments. Don't know how they get away with food safety standards on letting food sit out for hours and serving it cold. While the other tour members were a delight, and tried to maintain a positive attitude . . . . many times the general vibe was . . . . "ick" :(( Timing of tour was way off, and involved several 3:30 a.m. departures, no dinner breaks certain days, or having dinner (cold) at 9:30 p.m. after being too exhausted to eat. Lunch "skidded into" often at 3 or 3:30 forcing the facilities to wait for us, and incurring a certain amount of ire towards the group in general. The MOST troubling thing thing to me and the majority of folks on the tour is the FORCED PRE-TIPPING. In every culture known, a tip is given AFTER the service, and is based on quality of service rendered. I guess . . . due to the quality of this trip . . . . they knew that if they didn't get it at the beginning . . . they may not get it at all !!!! We were told that they would take care of all tips, yet how would you feel NOT tipping the bellman, or the maid, or an especially great server ? This resulted in many of us DOUBLE tipping, esp. as the Egyptians themselves always seemed to expect it. It was something I've never seem in all my travels, where the tour guide sits you down and DEMANDS pre-tipping. Also . . . I went, due to the fact that I have had many great trips with Vacations-to-go previously . . . BUT . . . this company has NOTHING TO DO with the American company of Vacations To Go. Probably a situation that will result in a future lawsuit as THIS company is most certainly ruining their reputation. BE WARNED.

Other tours past us by. Because of the detail, events at the end of the day had to be eliminated or truncated. The opposite was true while on the bus or cruise boat. Waleed would often disappear, or give no detail or history of the scenery or cities we passed. He failed to introduce fellow tour members to each other. No written itinerary was handed out - when asked he said we needed to read our email. Tips for him and service personnel were mandatory prior to the start of the tour giving no incentive to do a good job. When asked how he allocated our tip money to cruise personnel we were told "it was none of my business." Communication of upcoming events was often an afterthought. The cruise boat was advertised by the tour operator as "5 star standard." Many of those on the tour complained about the accommodations. For us - bathroom and entry doors knobs fell off, towel racks were broken, mirror holder was broken, shower head holder was broken, curtains were filthy, heat didn't work throughout the boat, paid internet did not function, ATM didn't work as we found out at checkout, and never did, sheets were worn and too short, boat was old and lacked maintenance of public areas, one of two public bathrooms was closed, hand railing was splintering, carpet looked decades old. The Oasis Hotel location was unsafe -the reception personnel recommended we not leave the premises. "Complementary internet was often not available. The tour company is Vacations To Go Travel, but an email to Vacations To Go indicated they are not affiliated with them. Managing Director is Magdy Aziz.

When the boat was parked you had no view as you were tied to another boat with it loud motor running all night. Overall value for money. The organisation too and from the Airports was excellent.

The driver and tour manager in Morocco were very nice, making us feel safe and teaching us about their culture. The tour guides in Fez and Rabat were very well prepared and knowledgeable.
In Egypt, the tour manager was very nice, helping us with the logistics in the country. For their part, the egyptologists provided us with a wealth of knowledge for such a long and rich history.
We would recommend this tour to travel and history lovers.

To start I have to say that all the arrangements were slick and to plan. Outgoing flight to Cairo went without a hitch although it was a late arrival at the hotel (midnight) Throughout this expedition my guides were insistent on beating the crowds so the following morning it was a quick breakfast and off in the mini bus to see the Pyramids. Truly wonderful and crowd free (a theme repeated hence) then off to the main museum in Cairo to see all the Egyptian antiquities including King Tuts display. The guide was very flexible as far as the afternoon was concerned. Nobody particularly wanted to see the market so my guide and I visited the only pub in Cairo (El Horreya Café) where I acquainted myself with the local Egyptian Stella!
The following morning was an early internal flight to Aswan where I teamed up with Ibrahim. Now this guy knows everything, I mean EVERYTHING!! Even down to advising me about the locals and the art if tipping. From this point everything was to go at warp speed! First stop Aswan Dam then Philae temple then to the awaiting Nile cruiser the Latraviata. If I have any complaints about the whole trip then it was this part. The cabin was ok but the bathroom stank of open drains, the wifi, which I had to pay for, was intermittent at best. I and other passengers also complained and I begrudged them the cost. Otherwise it was a pleasurable and relaxing trip up the Nile to Luxor, stopping off at Abu Combo and Edfu. No trivial bits of information were missed by Ibrahim, I was perpetually astounded at his depth of Knowledge (But he did rather like to get on with it!!)
Karnak and Luxor temples were fascinating but rather rushed. Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshupset were my last antiquities and after lunch I was rather regretfully un-ceremoniously dumped at Luxor bus station where I languished for some two hours waiting for the five hour bus ride to Hurghada.
When in Hurghada I would recommend the Simbad submarine trip. However, don’t fall for the photos hard sell. I got talked into buying £30 worth and quite frankly they were rubbish. I retained only two from maybe 25.
Seven hour bus ride back to Cairo with nothing to do until an afternoon flight back to Blighty.
In conclusion, I would like to thank all the organisers and guides for a fascinating adventure which, despite the odd grumbles was indeed a holiday of a lifetime.

The tour manager Michael was wonderful, the drive Ahmed (who spoke only a little English) still communicated with us in good humor and the tour guides were very knowledgeable, (Walleed in Cario, Timir, Walleed in Abu Simba and Ibrahim Elmonir).
There were only two concerns. The first was the number of times we had to get up very early for events. We should have either scheduled less or been informed that some side events would begin very early.
The second concern was the manner in which Ibrahim conducted his tours. He was quite informative but his manner was seriously off putting. First off, he doesn't modulate his voice. He is always speaking very loudly, bordering on shouting. In fact at the temple of Hepchepset, another tour guide asked him to quiet down! He also doesn't pause to let the listener absorb the information or to allow for questions or observations. A fellow traveler likened his approach to a machine gun. An additional concern is that he often repeated himself. It seemed to us that he would often repeat what he said, while he searched in him mind for what he wanted to say next. He was our tour guide for 4 or 5 days and by the end, I couldn't stand it. We simply walked away from the group. Again, the gentleman was very informative, but his manner needs serious improvement.

A little disappointed with the hotel choice in Hurgada. I was looking forward to a quiet place to rest toward the end of my holiday. Mercure Hotel is for families. But overall, it was a great holiday, many thanks to everyone x

We were sceptical about travelling during Covid time but since the whole trip was well arranged, we found no difficulty and it was seamless. Special mention to Michael for taking such good care of us and for helping arrange our PCR tests. We were also very happy with our tour guides - special mention to Ahmed, our guide for Aswan & Luxor, he is exceptional and the best! Overall, we are very happy with Vacations 2 Go & they'll be our first choice next time. We are even considering their Turkey, Israel & Jordan trips.

The ship entertainment was not in English so we were not included. The food on the ship was catered to asians so was not good. Ship waiters/cleaners were excellent and very friendly.
Hurghada was very windy so it was very cold meaning we couldn’t use the pool that looked stunning. The resort was disappointing however, dated, and the food was terrible. No guide was provided here at all. No breakfast box was provided prior to leaving for the morning bus back to Egypt. The package was to include all meals, however the restaurant was closed at the resort when we asked to make a reservation. We asked the taxi service in the lobby to take us to the shopping centre, we prepaid at the resort, the taxi driver took us to his friends shop and then told us the shopping centre was closed. When we returned at around 5-6pm we found out it was open until around midnight.
Mercure Le Sphinx Hotel was dated and Wi-Fi was unavailable in the room.

We are really happy with Vacations to Go (the local Cairo-based tour agency, not to be confused with the online VTG travel website based in Houston). Magdy, Michael and Tayb were excellent, took care …We are really happy with Vacations to Go (the local Cairo-based tour agency, not to be confused with the online VTG travel website based in Houston). Magdy, Michael and Tayb were excellent, took care of all our needs during our two-week Egypt tour. We expected to be part of a larger group but it ended up just the four of us -- myself, my wife and our two adult children -- that gave us tremendous flexibility. The itinerary was well put together, a fairly standard program to cover all the major sites in Egypt over a two-week period. November is the start of tourist season because temperatures are cooler. There were lots of other tour groups following the same or similar routes.
The tour was great value and would have been difficult to arrange on our own. Things ran like clockwork; someone from VTG was there to greet us at every stop; all the cars, bookings, tour guides were arranged in advance with no worries for us. The tour did not include entry fees or tips, which probably added another 50 percent to the tour price, but still represented good value for the unique experience.
We booked three optional add-on activities through VTG: (1) the sound and light show at the pyramids on the first night in Cairo (2) the road trip to Abu Simbel from Aswan, and (3) the sunrise balloon ride over Luxor and Valley of the Kings. Abu Simbel (near the Sudan border) was a long ride through the desert; we left at 330AM, about three and one-half hours by van each way with a couple hours at the site. We had to be back by early-afternoon because of the scheduled river boat departure. Glad we saw Abu Simbel but it was hot and dusty and made for a long day. The balloon ride over Luxor was absolutely spectacular, a highlight of the trip, highly recommended. The three-night Nile River cruise was pleasant, nice scenery and good food.
Cairo is a big, dirty city, traffic is terrible, but you have to see the pyramids/Sphinx and the National Museum. Our guide, Waleed, was really excellent. The Red Sea beach resort in Hurghada was a nice break after the busy sightseeing schedule during the first nine days of the tour. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort on the beach and booked an all-day snorkeling trip on our own, great coral and tropical fish. We also did two full day trips on our own during free time in Cairo: (1) Wadi el-Hitan (the whale cemetery) in the desert southwest of Cairo, full of all sorts of fossilized bones, with lunch on Karun Lake, and (2) Alexandria. Both were worthwhile.
It was not an easy trip, lots of long days, heat and dust, but glad we came. We saw the famous places we had always read about and seen pictures of. We came away with a much better understanding of the culture and history. Thank you Vacations to Go.

I was concerned about my personal security in Egypt when I was toying with the idea of going. But I wanted to see the pyramids, so I threw caution in the air and went. But I wanted to see the pyramids, so I threw caution in the air and went. It turned out, I was worried for nothing. There was never a time while there that I felt unsafe.
The tour was well-organized. Waleed, our guide, went beyond the call of duty, to ensure that we enjoyed our stay in Egypt. He was very patient, tactful, respectful and diplomatic in his responses to the questions from the group. Michael, the travel agency representative who met us at the airport, ensured that we are connected to the rest of the world while in Egypt. He assisted us in buying a SIM card at the airport.
Michel, our guide to our Alexandria excursion, was quite friendly. With experience, I hope that he would learn to feel the pulse of the group and go from there. He set a pace that was too fast for the group. Our Alexandria experience would have been elevated had he advised us ahead of time what attractions we were visiting and gave an overview.
Our itinerary was not too hectic. It allowed us to enjoy and learn about the rich history of Egypt at a good pace. But due to unseasonably hot weather, sometimes, the heat got to us.
The accommodation in Cairo was good. We stayed at Mercure which is about 100 metres from the pyramids. I had high expectations with the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan because it was advertised as a 5 star luxury cruise. The boat that we cruised in has seen it’s glorious time and needs to be updated.
The meals were essentially all the same, beef, chicken and fish. Not much variation in the recipes. I was looking forward to enjoying the local cuisine, but it turned out, there is not much to be enjoyed, even when when we dined in the hotel and at a recommended local restaurant.
My Egypt experience was a memorable one. It would have been more memorable had I had the opportunity to browse around stalls freely. Vendors need to learn that they may earn more revenue if they allow tourists to browse around by themselves. We are more likely to buy things we do not need if we have the chance to appreciate the merchandise you sell.
Although I had low expectations at the state of cleanliness of the streets of Egypt, I still feel saddened by the seeming lack of care to beautify the surroundings. All the tourist attractions are clean and free of trash, but the rest of Egypt is not.

Waleed, a professional, very kind, patient and knowledgeable Egyptologist, exhibited unparalleled fashion with his job through relentless explanation of the facts in details. As promised to him, I will definitely recommend this particular tour (him as a tour guide) and agency to our friends and relatives here in California and Florida. Last year, me and my wife organized a cruise with Royal Carribean's Allure of the Seas with families and friends totaling 30 passengers. It was a successful one. We go on a tour at least 2-3 times a year. We are considering Greek Isles tour next year.
