  The trip was very interesting. We had wonderful guides: Sara and Ebrahim. They are very knowledgeable in Egyptian history, but except this, they and Mike from the Vacations to Go Travel made our travel well organized, and we felt taken care of. We also liked that the travel agency made our trip customized by adding extra nights and a destination. One remark: it would be nice if they could give a little heads up about scheduling, so people could be prepared for getting up at 4am etc.Show more

  An absolutely fantastic experience! Our guides were great. Mansour was with us from Aswan to Luxor, taking us to the temples and different sites along the way, explaining the history of each site and its significance. He was also great at helping us navigate shopping and anything else we needed throughout that part of our trip. We were also lucky enough to have Bibo for our pyramids and Egyptian Museum tours, and then again for our GEM tour. He was a wealth of knowledge, and you could tell how passionate he is about Egypt’s history. It was a pleasure having him with us. And then there was John, who was always making sure we were taken care of with rides, hotels, and flights throughout our journey. If we had any concerns, he was on top of them. A huge thanks to him and both of our guides! The sites were amazing, and the rooms and meals arranged through TourRadar were great. They were long days, sometimes starting at 4 or 5 am and not getting dinner until 7:30 or even 8 pm. But there was so much to see, and getting out early meant we often arrived before the larger crowds. My only real criticism would be the breakfast boxes provided on those early mornings. They were terrible. Day-old buns with a slice of cheese or maybe a single slice of meat (never both on the same bun), a couple of pastries, a juice box, and an apple. My partner and I are quite health-conscious, and we struggled to eat much of what was provided. This was definitely one area that could use improvement, especially with how long and active the days were. Overall, though, the guides and the experience itself were so good that I couldn’t bring myself to give four stars instead of five. The only other thing I would have changed would be booking one more day in Hurghada. It’s a beautiful city, and it was really our only chance to relax and do absolutely nothing during the trip. The two great couples we toured with (who were also Canadian and great people) stayed an extra day, and I think they made the better decision by giving themselves one more day on the beach. An incredible trip, so much history, and memories we’ll have for a lifetime. I would absolutely recommend it, and suggest to do the add-ons, we did them all.Show more

  It was an awesome trip, from dealing with Magdy from Vacations to go to having Michael meet us at the airport and checked in on us until we left the country. Not forgetting Mansour our guide from Aswan to Luxor ( that man was is a top notch guide.) I cannot fault this tour, it covered so much and was great value for money. As a special highlight, our guide arranged a visit to the iconic Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan, forever associated with Agatha Christie.   From arriving in Cairo, until we left on our Nile tour, our greeters, drivers and guides were exceptional! Our Nile tour started on April 30, through May 8. The country was magical, from the faluccas gently sailing on the river, to Aswan and Luxor with stone carvings and monuments. Every moment took us back in time to the beginnings of a great civilization! Our guides were fluent in English and they should be awarded Honorary Doctor degrees in Ancient Civilization. We learned far more in one week than our early exposure to Egypt during our early school years. One the best parts of this trip was the exposure to the cuisine, the friendly reception of the alabaster makers, the mom cooks, to sweet tea and succulent meat dishes with sweet dates, Nubian hospitality in a private home, sweet hibiscus tea awaiting us all. We are ready to return!!Show more
