    In this particular case, since you'll only stay in one island, flights are not included.

    Regarding flights, you can either fly into Lisbon or Porto and then from there to Açores. If you fly to Lisbon, it normally is faster, but you might find better deals to and from Porto. It really depends but both options work well.
    
    Regarding being a solo traveler, it can have an extra cost, but we can only really confirm that in the moment of booking, since it will be depending on availability of tours and accomodation in the moment of booking, but we'll do our best to keep the price we sent you in our last message.

  If I want to go from August 25th until September 1st, how do I make my reservation for the flight so I'm on time for the excursions?

    On the first and last days of your tour you'll only have booked from us your transfers in and out (from the airport to the hotel and vice versa on the last day), so you don't need to worry about your schedules for your inbound and outbound flights because you won't have tours on those days.

    Before I book this trip from August 19-25, could you please let me know if I would be staying in a 4 star hotel. If not, I prefer to book my own hotel. 3 star hotels are generally less and expensive and a lower quality.

    my flight would arrive in the early morning and I would want to check into my room right away. Is it possible to make any changes to the tour? If I needed to miss one day of the tour due to illness for instance, would it be possible to join a different group on a different day to do that particular activity (knowing that I would miss a different day of my own group)?

    Early check-in is always subject to the hotel's availability at the time of arrival and will incur extra charges, which must be paid directly at the hotel. We cannot guarantee that it will be available. The only way to guarantee the room is to book the previous night and inform the hotel that you will only arrive early the next morning.

We can make changes to the tour, but we cannot guarantee that the tour you are unable to attend on one day will have availability on the following day. It always depends on availability.

  I'm very interested in joining your Azores tour and am ready to book soon. I will be traveling solo and noticed the $500 single supplement. Since March is still part of the quieter season, I wanted to ask if there might be any flexibility for solo travelers for example a reduced supplement or the possibility of matching me with another solo traveler if one joins the group.

    The price you are seeing right now reflects the current hotel rates, since the tour starts in a few days and hotel prices are a little higher due to last-minute bookings. The best we can do, starting the tour on the 9th and ending on March 15th, at the Vip Executive Azores 4* hotel with breakfast included, is €985.

Breakfast is included in the tour price.

    Simpler restaurants/local taverns (dinner): around €10 to €20 per person - traditional dishes and more basic local meals.
    Mid-range restaurant (full dinner): approximately €20 to €35 per person.
    More sophisticated restaurants / fine dining: can easily cost €40+ per person, depending on the menu and wines.

    Ponta Delgada is located on São Miguel Island, while Pico is a separate island within the Azores archipelago. There is no ferry connection between São Miguel and Pico, so the only way to travel between the two islands is by plane. Although the flight itself is relatively short (approximately 40 minutes), it is necessary to consider airport check-in times, boarding, disembarkation, transfers, and the possibility of delays.
    In practice, arranging a same-day return would require perfectly aligned flight schedules in both directions, something that is rarely available. Additionally, the actual time spent on Pico would be very limited, making the visit rushed and preventing you from fully enjoying the island.
