Don’t even try to go to Egypt if you don’t have Vacations To Go (John in our case) walking you through every process…from picking you up at the airport, getting the required Visa, and getting you to the hotel and back to the airport.
The tour guides contracted were the absolute best. Tamer guided us through the Pyramids and museum and organized a wonderful lunch with an incredible view. After flying to Luxor for the cruise portion of the trip, we met up with our guide Monsour. He stayed with us every step of the way for the next 4 days. He was a wealth of knowledge and his love for Egypt was contagious. We highly recommend Vacations To Go Travel and there’s nothing we would have wanted done any differently. 15 out of 10 rating!!

Closer to departure date comms improved and I received a comprehensive itinerary. I was very relieved to have been met by the company representative (John) before passport control at Cairo airport. From then on “Vacations to go” Egypt was very good. Excellent guides and support staff, good quality and clean vehicles. We have no hiccups through the 9 day tour in terms of punctuality or bookings. Quality of the accommodation was good, however Swiss inn in Hurghada was disappointing from a food point of view and had to eat off site despite being on “all inclusive” package. The add on tours were expensive from a market related point of view but was worth it in terms of quality of vehicles and guides. Highly recommended.

The biggest highlight for me was Luxor and Karnak temples, they are absolutely unreal. Walking through them in real life is so different from seeing photos, and the scale and atmosphere are just incredible. It’s one of those experiences that really makes you stop and take it all in. Our guide in Luxor, Mansour, made this part of the trip even better. He was so knowledgeable but also really warm and easy to talk to, which made everything feel relaxed and enjoyable. One of the most fun nights of the cruise was the galabeya party. Mansour helped us find a great shop beforehand so we could buy traditional galabeyas, and getting to wear them that night was such a fun way to experience the culture, it was definitely a highlight. The Nile cruise itself was a great way to travel. The staff were always kind and welcoming, and the food was consistently good with lots of choice, which made the whole experience even more comfortable. Cairo was also a great start to the trip. The Grand Egyptian Museum is huge and stunning, and our guide there, Tamer, was very knowledgeable and informative, which made everything run smoothly. Overall, this trip felt really well balanced with incredible sights, great guides, and genuinely fun cultural experiences. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting Egypt.

I was very satisfied. Except for few points:
1) The guides were below average. Mostly concentrated on anecdote rather than history.
2) Hotel Tolip was a true disaster. Dirty and a lot of noise fro…I was very satisfied. Except for few points:

Our tour began with George in Cairo and the surrounding area. He did an outstanding job of explaining what we saw in both the museums and at the sites. He did an outstanding job of explaining what we saw in both the museums and at the sites. Next we flew to Luxor and began our cruise with Mansour. We really appreciated his vast knowledge, storytelling and helping to put everything into historical context. He exceeded all our expectations. Driving around we felt safe and looked after by our guides and drivers. Our boat was the Chateau Lafayette. It was clean and comfortable. But it smelled of food for most of the trip. Service was good; however improvements could be made with snacks available between meals and coffees like cappuccinos and lattes in the morning. The food was not to the level expected with offerings limited, repeated and quality suffering (especially for breakfast and lunch). The food was the most disappointing aspect of the journey and left us hungry most days.

The tour was very well-organized By the Vacations to go Travel for both ground and the Nile River cruise. Before we left for Egypt, Magdy sent us detailed itinerary helping us get ready for the tour. Once we arrived in Cairo, Michael did a great job of taking care of us at the airport and at the hotel. Our tour guides, George and Mansour, are very knowledgeable and keen to meet our needs or requests. We have learnt so much Egypt history from them.
Our tour experience was fantastic and unforgettable. Giza pyramids are mighty and magnificent, and the first pyramid ever built - the step pyramid of Zoser, is equally impressive. Egypt museum Cairo is a must to go. Abu Simbel Temples are amazing and so beautiful. Kom Ombo Temple and Edfu Temple are additional nice surprises to us. The Valley of the Kings is an incredible place to see Pharaoh tombs and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The Karnak Temple in Luxor is huge and beautiful. In addition, the 3-night Nile River Cruise was very nice and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the cruise staff members were very nice. We are very grateful to the Vacations to go Travel and the people who served us.

The best part was our tour guides: knowledgeable, friendly, professional and expert on Egypt. Mansour and Tamir did excellent work along with our greeter Michael in Cairo. Mansour quickly became one of the family and went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. He accompanied us for 6 days including on our Nile cruise trip. He made sure our accommodations were to our expectations and that special meals were available for those with dietary restrictions in addition to showing and guiding us expertly through all the sights and sounds of Aswar, Luxor and in between and out into the Sahara! Our tour guides made our trip to Egypt. Our main tour greeter made sure we arrived to and form the airports and into our hotels as we made our way thru Egypt. Michael did an exceptional on especially when our flights into Egypt were delayed… we arrived after the restaurant closed, Michale arranged for a beautiful dinner to be ready for us upon our arrival and since we were leaving ing the next day to go back home, a wonderful box to go breakfast. Highly recommend all our guides and greeters especially Mansour and Michael!
Recommend upgrading rooms when possible, we did and well worth it! Special meal accommodations are handled well. All meals were included with most at the hotel buffet. The food had an international flair and well suited for American palates. The buffets were varied and exceptional! Highlights were lunches in Old Cairo, a fabulous Nubian lunch, lunch overlooking the Pyramids of Giza and a fab seafood lunch in Alexandria. The trip was magical and Mansour, Tamir and Michael were integral in making it so exceptional! Thank you!

Having Mansour show us the beauty of mystery of his cou…We spent an AMAZING 10 days in Egypt with Mansour touring so many fantastic Egyptian sights! So much to see and not enough time to see it all. Having Mansour show us the beauty of mystery of his country made our trip so much more memorable. The planned itinerary kept us busy every day- from seeing the sights in Cairo, to the modern marvel of the Aswan Dam, the historic sites in Aswan and as we floated down the Nile to visit some of the most well-preserved archaeological sites in the world. Philae Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Giza, just to name a few! We also were able to take in breathtaking views from a Hot Air Balloon! Mansour ensured that every step of the trip went perfect- cars waiting for us at every stop to make our transportation simple. We truly needed that 3 day end stop at the Hurghada Resort on the red Sea to try and absorb everything we had seen and rest up form our vacation. I wish I could give this trip more than 5 stars and give Mansour double that!

Even the airport experiences were painless! More time to enjoy the beauty of Egypt. The two main contacts - John and Michael (who are brothers, by the way) were present at the airport or hotel in order to co-ordinate the schedules. Both of them were well-organized and personable. Rarely a moment went by without them demonstrating care for our comfort, and rarely did a moment go by without one of them laughing. Our flights, bus rides, van tours, and cruise excursions all went off without a hitch.
Our guide for the Nile River Cruise was Mansoor and he accompanied us from Luxor to Aswan. He knows his stuff. Full stop. He was confident, well-spoken, and led us to hieroglyphics, structures, and artwork that other guides did not show their groups. We started early each morning, he kept a good, structured pace, and we beat the crowds every single time in Luxor, Abu Simbel, and the Nubian villages. By the end of 4 days, we considered him as a family member.
Our guide in Cairo was Bebo, and what a nice, laid-back person. He shined especially when leading us through Old Cairo, St. Mark’s, and the Hanging Church. Bebo pointed out different architectural features and relics that helped us understand the story of the Holy Family’s stay in Cairo. He also showed us the ins and outs of Alexandria (Roman Theatre, Alexandria Library, and the Pompeii Pillar).
The restaurants selected by the Vacations to Go staff were also top-notch. Authentic Egyptian food was tasty, and the fruit drinks were fresh.
Finally, the drivers were also outstanding. Egyptian traffic is crazy at all times of the day, but our drivers showed courtesy towards others, passed at safe speeds, and displayed smooth driving and cool emotions even during stressful traffic jams. Bravo!

The tour provided a very good coverage of stops from the top to the bottom of Egypt...very much recommended.
My wife and I had an excellent Egypt trip with Vacations to Go. From the beginning to the end, they were with us and guided us on each step along the way. From the beginning to the end, they were with us and guided us on each step along the way. Michael was very cordial and made the airport transfer and hotel check-in in Cairo a piece of cake. Max, our Egyptologist guide, explained all the stories and histories about the pyramids and patiently answered our every question. From Cairo, we flew to Aswan and got picked up by them at the airport. Mansoor was our guide for the next 4 days and he was a gem. He stayed on the same Nile cruise as us and explained all the little details along the way along with suggestions and tips to make the trip extra memorable. The Nile cruise, being so peaceful and serene, was the highlight of our trip. Although we found the bus from Luxor to Hurghada was kinda dirty, it was a 5 hr journey so we put up with it. In Hurghada we were picked up by Amr and the resort was a relaxing heaven. By the end of the trip, we were sad to go back and was almost ready to come back soon.
Overall, I would recommend Vacations to Go highly to everyone for an Egypt trip.

This was my first solo trip and I would definitely recommend Vacations To Go Travel for any female wanting to cross off those bucket list items. Every detail was thoughtfully planned out from the moment I arrived at the airport in Cairo to the moment my tour ended. John was the representative who met me at the airport to help with the visa I needed as well as my transportation to and from the hotel. He’s very professional and friendly which put me at ease knowing I could communicate with him at any time with any issues. I had the most wonderful tour guides throughout the whole journey and I will remember them fondly. Sara took me to the pyramids, around Cairo and to Alexandria. She’s very knowledgeable and has great passion for her job. She felt like a sister by the time we were finished and she even held my hand to cross the road with all the crazy Cairo traffic lol. I opted to add on the day trip to Abu Simbel and it did not disappoint. It was a quick flight from Aswan and Waleed was my awesome tour guide who retrieved me from the airport and drove me to the site for a quick 2 hour tour. This was one of the main reasons I came to Egypt and I could’ve stood there all day staring in awe at the large Ramesses II statues on the facade of the temple. After my flight back to Aswan, I boarded a cruise ship for the Nile River cruise visiting so many amazing temples and each one was more interesting and larger than the previous one. During the Nile cruise, Mansour was my fun yet insightful tour guide whom I shared a few meals with as well as had some great conversations. Unfortunately due to some unforeseen events I was not able to complete the Jordan portion of my trip but all in all I am so impressed with all the logistics Vacations To Go Travel had in place. Even dealing with any pre-tour issues with Madgy via message was top notch. As a woman traveling solo I never once felt like my safety was in jeopardy so thank you to everyone involved in facilitating such a fantastic amazing journey. I will hopefully be back one day to experience more beauty Egypt has to offer.

Our Egyptologist guides (Bassem & Mansour) were both exceptional; very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful with anything we asked or needed. Being a small group of six we felt we had a very personal service from them both.
I think it would be very difficult to achieve a tour like this independently, particularly in 10 days. The guides make everything simpler and quicker, from purchasing tickets at the monuments to organising transport to and from the hotel & ship, making for a very relaxed & stress-free experience.
The hotel in Cairo (Steigenberger El Tahrir) was clean & comfortable and had an wide selection for breakfast. WiFi was good and available everywhere.
The lunches we had as part of the tours in and around Cairo were both authentic & excellent.
The cruise ship (Esmerelda) was great with delicious food - very wide choice and good quality. Clean, large cabin, friendly staff, with amusing & unusual towel art! The only thing that let it down was the WiFi - difficult to connect & reconnect to, non-existent in the restaurant and the free package (1GB) stopped working prematurely. It wasn't a big problem for us as we had a generous cellular data package, having bought a SIM at Cairo airport.
The tour involves quite a few early starts (particularly if the options for a balloon ride & a trip to Abul Simbel [both excellent] are taken), but this means monuments can be visited when it's cooler and they are slightly less crowded.
I think it would be very difficult to achieve a tour like this independently, particularly in 10 days. The guides make everything simpler, from purchasing tickets at the monuments to organising transport.
Overall this tour exceeded my expectations and was very good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour or company and would use them again.

The A Sara cruise was really nice, though Jaz Pyramids is a bit far from town. I highly recommend the Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids with the dinner option, and the hot air balloon ride was definitely a highlight of the trip.
Having cash is essential, as credit card payments aren't widely accepted, especially in smaller shops. We hope to return one day .

We joined other travelers who were booked on different tours with Vacations to Go Travel, but only for the Nile cruise portion, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Meeting people from different parts of the world and exploring Egypt's beautiful historical sites together was truly special.
Mansour, our guide, was fantastic. He took great care of everyone and handled any issues perfectly. Tamer, our Egyptologist in Cairo, was also incredibly knowledgeable. Both Mansour and Tamer shared fascinating information and stories about the sites we visited, making the trip even more valuable.
It’s good to budget extra money for optional tours, tipping, and entrance fees, and be cautious of the local street vendors. Thank you to the entire team for making this trip a memorable one. I've already recommended it to family and friends!, Diana and Maureen

The package was significantly more affordable than those offered by other companies, even though entrance fees and tipping were not included. Overall, it still provided excellent value. We couldn't have been happier with the choice of hotel, cruise boat, and our tour guides, Sara and Mansour. Upon both of our arrivals in Cairo, we were warmly greeted at the airport by John and smoothly transferred to and from our hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another holiday with them—very happy travelers!

Next tile we would choosse a slower pace and soend 7 nights on the Nile. And ten days or more in Morocco as we had only glimpses of Casablanca and Marrakech.

Egypt is overwhelming and I definitely could not have been able to do it on my own. The 10 day Egypt experience was perfect! Michael met my wife and I at the airport and helped us navigate the most confusing airport we've ever experienced. Our hotel was fantastic and Max led us the following day on a amazing tour of the pyramids, an authentic lunch and the stepped pyramid. They escorted us the next day through (not just to) the airport for the flight to Luxor. The incredible guide, Mansour accompanied us for the five days on an amazing Nile cruise on the MS Amwaj. I definitely recommend this part because we only unpacked once for the 5 days. Mansour immediately felt like a familiar friend who kept us safe and made all the correct suggestions for a once in a lifetime trip. Mansour has an open invitation to our home! The Karnack Light show and Hotair Balloon sunrise were definite worth the additional price. The food on the cruise was better than the Royal Caribbean, Oasis of the Seas food from the transatlantic cruise we had just taken!
Everything was better than I dreamt especially the fallucah cruise at sunset in Luxor. We flew back to Cairo and finished with the incredible Museum tours with Max. Again, Michael navigated us through the hectic Cairo airport. My wife had some migraine issues during the trip, but Mansour, Max, and Micheal were very attentive and helped her to relax and enjoy the trip. Be sure and bring cash for tips just in case your ATM card doesn't work. (Thank you for your help with that Michael) because you will want to show your appreciation for this wonderful team. Thank you all for making it an amazing experience I have dreamed of almost my entire 61 years!

It's a fantastic all-inclusive tour that takes away all the hassle. We simply made our way from home to the airport to catch our flights to Egypt, and from there, they took care of everything. The accommodations are top-notch, clean, and comfortable. The food is delicious, and the Nile cruise and Hurghada were the highlights of our trip. Mansour and Michael looked after us wonderfully, and the driver Mahmoud safely navigated through traffic jams and crowded streets. We've already recommended this tour to all our family and friends. Mansour Hussein quien fué mi guía durante el crucero hizo del viaje una experiencia personal, se relaciona contigo y pone atención a tus gustos e intereses además de estar muy bien informado y preparado. Hace excelentes recomendaciones. De igual forma no puedo recordar los nombres de todo el equipo de personas que me apoyaron en El Cairo con absolutamente todo pero les estoy muy agradecido pues en todo momento conté con su ayuda incluso en una ocasión que olvidé una prenda en uno de sus vehículos y está regresó a mis manos sin ningún problema. Los transportes, las personas que apoyan además de los guías y los alojamientos son de una calidad para mí excelente. The guides were so friendly and knowledgeable, making the historical sites come alive. The cruise was a peaceful journey through history, and Hurghada added the perfect mix of fun and relaxation.
Accommodations were comfy, and the local food was delicious. Overall, a fantastic trip – highly recommend it!

Michael was tour representative who was with us to help get through the airport and he was our contact throughout the tour. The Cairo hotel was awesome. We had an early flight and arrived at the hotel by 730am- check in was not until that afternoon but they had us in a room and we were sleeping by 9am- KUDOS!!
Sara and Monty were our two regular tour guides throughout Egypt and both were awesome; extremely knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. The majority of the tour there was just the two of us but at times two others joined us. For a day, we did have a third tour guide but unfortunately, she was not that great and I can't even remember her name.
My friend and I did all the extra add on tours- we wanted to do and see it all! Communication with Michael and the tour company throughout our trip was super easy- you do have to keep in touch to coordinate pick up times, etc.
Suggestion: on the mornings where you do a breakfast box, offer an item list where guests can choose what food they would like packed. I am a super picky eater and I was given things I don't particularly care for. This would also communicate to kitchen staff any allergies, etc.
Overall, the trip was great! Yes, there are some early mornings, but you are getting up to go see awesome things, not go to work, and there are also TONS of opportunities to nap! For being food selective, I gained weight on this vacation- lots of opportunities to try different foods- YUM!

Some were nice, but a few were not so great—drinking a lot and trying to get too friendly with the cruise staff and passengers.
It didn't ruin my trip, but towards the end, I asked the tour company to separate me from the group. They did, and it made a difference. The Nile Bride staff did a great job, and our tour guide, Mansour, was fantastic and patient, dealing with the challenges and keeping everyone happy.

The tour guides were TOP notch. They worked hard to ensure we saw everything- often staying two steps ahead of the largest crowds and taking extra steps to make sure we had the best transportation without extra wait times. Their English was wonderful and knowledge unparalleled.
All of the accommodations were very nice. We especially enjoyed our time on the Nile Cruise, Alyssa. The day in Hurghada was a beautiful change of pace- so glad we were able to visit.
Being in Egypt was a treat. With many back home in America questioning our travel plans- we were only met with open arms by our tour as well as other locals. We booked the Sonesta George Nile cruise it was fabulous from beginning to end highly recommend this cruise the staff are wonderful, spotlessly clean, great docking views, delicious food everything felt 5 star.
Our guide Mansour greeted us on arrival in Luxor and took great care of us over the 5 days we were with him visiting the Temples along the Nile. He was great with our Kids and really helped them feel included and interested on the Temple visits and explained everything in a way that made it fun and informative for all of us. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Egypt history and sharing it. We really enjoyed getting to know him, he went above and beyond to make our time special and we felt the pride and care he takes into his work as a travel guide He gave 100% of his attention to the tour and his guests, we appreciated this immensely. We all feel we now have a friend for life with Mansour.
Our time in Hurghada was fun and relaxing we stayed at the Continental Hotel it was very clean, the staff were great and the food and entertainment options were good. Only downside was the extra snorkel tour we chose it was awful. Being trapped on a boat with everyone smoking the snorkel part was very rushed and really the day was set up to try and make you purchase the photos they are taking. I would suggest that Vacations to Go get to know the boat companies and work with some that offer a better experience. Amr our local rep did take care of it after and took my feedback seriously which was appreciated. He was very responsive if we needed anything or had questions.
For our Cairo visit we stayed at the Mena House with the best view of the Pyramids we loved it and as we found everywhere in Egypt we were warmly welcomed and treated wonderfully.
2 days to explore Cairo feels very rushed but luckily we had time on our last morning before the flight to return back to the Pyramids by ourselves for more time to wander and also climb into the Great Pyramid amazing!
Bassem was our Cairo guide he is a very knowledgable Egyptologist it was nice to get his perspective on the wonderful places we visited during our time.
Michael took care of our itinerary in Cairo it was fun to get to know him better on the last day and we appreciated he took the time to guide us back to the airport and spend time chatting with us.
Overall this was an exceptional experience Vacations to Go is very organized I just recommend if you are like me and appreciate the best accommodations research in advance and try and book the best options provided well in advance.

What an incredible experience! Vacations to go could not have done a better job coordinating my trip. We spent the first couple of days with Sara in 'crazy' Cairo ( traffic is insane ) , a day in Abu Simbel with Waali and four days with Mano in Aswan and Luxor. Each of these guides went above and beyond. We spent quite a bit of time talking to Mano about the current Egyptian culture and lifestyle. It was nice to hear an honest account of what is going on in their country. The accommodations were great but the one thing I would change would be an extra sailing day on the Nile Cruise instead of sitting in port ( there wasn't much to do). The hot air balloon ride was definitely a great option that we included in our trip. Michael did a great job of coordinating our trip and we were able to contact him anytime and get answers right away.

Our experience with them from the moment we landed was top notch. We had amazing travel guides as well as terrific reps from vacations to go. We started off with Michael meeting us at the Cairo airport and he was with us every step of the way for the rest of the vacation. He always made sure we knew what was going on, who we were meeting, helped us check into our hotels as well as all of our domestic flights. He was truly our Egyptian ally.
For our time in Cairo our guide was Sarah. She was also top notch. She was very knowledgeable and easy going. She made sure we saw everything we wanted to see and flexible if we wanted to change things up.
After we left Cairo we met up with Mansour (Mano) and we feel like we made a lifetime friend. We had an incredible time with him in Aswan, on our Nile Cruise, and in Luxor. He not only shared everything we could ever want to know about Ancient Egypt and all the historical sites but also about Egyptian culture and the people. This trip truly was magical thanks to him. During this part of our vacation we had the help of Mohamed from the travel company who was also very helpful.

(As obnoxious as some of my friends were at times) and he never judged us for who we were either. He welcomed us with open arms and taught us more about Egypt then I could have dreamed. The hotel in Cairo was good, although we were downgraded from an 5 star to an 4 star hotel with no explanation as to why, and we absolutely loved our time on the ship! The hospitality of the staff and the food were excellent! We absolutely loved Micheal and Sarah! These two were extremely warm, friendly, and knowledgeable and we wished that we had them throughout the entire tour and not just in Cairo :) we highly recommend the hot air balloon ride as it was an experience of a lifetime! What we didn’t like was having to pay all of entrance fees and having to have the cash to do so, so we would recommend finding a tour where those expenses were included upfront. We also didn’t really enjoy the ‘factories’ on the tour as they were really just a front to sell ridiculously overpriced goods. We would have liked to have had some time to shop for souvenirs instead of visiting these ‘factories’. Instead, like at the local bazaar. Our guide for the majority of our tour kept telling us to wait until we got to the end of our tour in Luxor only to find ourselves in one of these overpriced ‘factories’ so if you go and want to grab a few small gifts and souvenirs, we recommend buying a few along the way and simply asking for the time to do so instead of being rushed away by your guide.

One caveat that I feel is important to mention is that we booked a group tour as I am a people person and looked forward to meeting other travelers from other countries. To my disappointment we were the only people on four. Had I wanted a private tour I would have booked one. I was lead to believe that only a few places left and “ filling up quickly”. I feel that we should be given the choice beforehand whether to take the tour or not.
So this was flawlessly executed. There was always someone waiting for me when I got off my flights, always someone promptly to pick me up to take me to the airport. The Steigenberger El Tahrir(sp?)is worthy of a 4 star and food was always good. Good location not far from Nile.
My Nile cruise was on the MS Esmerelda. Wonderful and relaxing for me especially on the deck. Food was pretty good but not extraordinary. Service on ship was good and everyone was helpful. I’d probably put the ship at 3.75 star, things like carpet and furniture in places were a bit dated but clean, comfortable, good service, and everything worked.
Some advice for future travelers might be to get a stack $1 bills($50-$100 for whole trip) for “bakesh”(tips)…don’t worry about currency…just be ready for all the hands that will be put in front of you looking for a tips. And it’s not always for helping you, cleaning bathrooms, or helping with luggage. Sometimes people just looking for some help. In the temples and Valley of Kings there are “guardians” who wonder the grounds, you will often encounter them once your guide has left to give you free time to walk the grounds(single woman may want to just stick with your guide). Anyway a dollar here and there will go a long way to making things smoother or getting them to look to the next tourist. The Luxor airport was particularly ridiculous for the tips. Again, a few dollars, given out one at a time, can make the trip a whole lot smoother. Other countries have this same issue, including USA, it’s just a little more common in Egypt(from my brief stay).
Overall, wonderful vacation! And again, this was flawlessly performed by Vacations to go travel(in conjunction with tour radar). One final thing, I traveled solo and was a bit surprised I was a group of one…I believe they usually try to put many people together in their tours but perhaps in low season isn’t always possible. But in any regard, it was flawless executed, highly recommend!

The Nile Cruise staff were excellent however yhe room booked did not have twin beds and when we arrived we were moved to another room at the rear of the boat which was very run down and dirty. The toilet did not work well, the balcony door had to be fixed and the shower rail kept falling down when you were in the shower. Mansour tried to sort out the rooms at the start however the choices were limited as the cruise was fully booked overall the cruise was a fantastic experience.

A good part of my complaint is in the message thread, so TourRadar can review the details.
My wife and I travelled with a large suitcase and one hand carry luggage each - we were picked up at the airport in an old Toyota sedan that did not even have proper belts. Our larger luggage could barely fit in the trunk, and we had the hand carry items sat on our laps. After a complaint to the operator, the cars we had after that were better.
The add on tours were terrible - a waste of time and one was outright dangerous! I wrote a note to Vacations to go and they apologised, and gave me a 30% refund. Meh! Fly by night operator who are careless with safety - just apologise after...knowing full well what they were doing obviously.
And here is the real big complaint. After buying the package and comfirming the details, Vactaions to go changed my itinerary at the 11th hour to save their costs and did not deliver as promised - without my permission. Here it the list of what I encountered.
I ordered the 4 nights cairo 7 nights cruise package. We did this to not have as many long and early days so we could enjoy the trip more. For the cruise, they suddenly moved us tot he the 4 nights cruise pacakage and changed our itinerary. Then the last 3 nights, left on the return leg of the cruise with zero activities. It was almost a ghost ship.
For example, our flight from Cairo to Luxor was very early in the morning, and sightseeing was squeezed in to the same day. A 3 am wake up call and rushed and tiring day - when originally it was an easier day of just the flight and checking in to the cruise. We know this to be the reason as we were put in a group with a another couple who was on the shorter schedule.
And to save costs, while there were proper jet planes from Luxor to Cairo, we were put on a smaller and slower propeller plane, with much lower luggage allocation that did not cover our luggage. It was after a heated exchange with their ground rep that they paid the luggage difference. (We had it in writing what our travel allocation was so there cannot be a dispute as we were within the limits).
Choosing the cruise ship is also important. I confirmed with them earlier which ships they used before paying....Of course, they changed the ship too. I had earlier checked the reviews of the boats they promised but ended up on the TAMR. Could not find any review on that ship. No major complaints about the ship - but I wonder if I have been shortchanged there too.
So overall, Vacations to go was a poor choice. Very unhappy with their integrity level and am very surprise Tour Radar have them listed as a platinum operator.

Honestly, we thought that we would be in a bus tour of maybe 20 to 30 people. All of the guides were friendly and met the needs of the group and the individuals in the group.
All the excursions were as expected except the light show at the pyramids which was a big letdown. We were expecting seeing a light show which is going on now for the grand opening of the grand museum. So, I would not recommend that excursion unless they change the show in the future.
All in all, we were very satisfied, and we thank you and your staff for a lovely time in Egypt.

It was our first small group tour and it was lovely to just have 6 of us. I would highly recommend this tour but would suggest though to take the flight Hurghada to Cairo if you can rather than the long bus trip which we took.

We were provided with 5 star hotel.Ahmed toured us to the scenic places of Dubai.What an amazing architecture of the buildings. In Cairo, Michael welcomed us @ the airport. He was very friendly. Back in Cairo,Mansour took us to the pyramids etc.We flew down to Aswan & he was very knowledgeable with the Egyptian history. We rode the motor boat seeing the nice tourist spots of Aswan & then rode the cruise going to Luxor.We enjoyed our time with him as well. We met new friends in this tour..What a nice experience! Awesome & Amazing to see Dubai & Egypt..

We just had a really good 10 days in Egypt - 6 nights in the Steigenberger Al Tahrir in Cairo, 1 on the overnight train from Cairo to Aswan, and 3 on the MS Nile Styles.

Michael was at the airport waiting for us when we landed and helped us with everything - from our luggage to getting Egyptian £ at competitive rates.
The sights in Egypt were amazing - the pyramids, various temples, museums, places of worship. Our hotel was excellent with a very good breakfast spread. Our Nile cruise ship was like a 5* hotel with excellent food and service. The only things that were a little disappointing were the traffic, air quality & questionable prices.
What made the trip amazing though were the people. Egyptians are very friendly. The tour staff like Michael and John were very helpful and accommodating. John kept us in stitches with his jokes.
Our Egyptologist guides Tamer and Mansour were very knowledgeable, funny, helpful and communicated clearly. Most of all, they took very good care of us. We were most sad to bid them farewell at the end of our trip

All expec…The Tour Radar interface for the 10-Day Nile cruise was executed perfectly. I built an excel spreadsheet based on what was offered by them and other tour companies and what I was expecting. All expectations were fully met by Tour Radar. Opportunities were offered to modify my itinerary after initially booking the tour. The tour itself was designed to be a small group experience. Unfortunately, It was made even smaller with some last minute cancellations due to the Middle East conflict. The drop off in tourism was evident not only in Cario but also as far south as Aswan. People of Egypt were happy to see us and never once did we feel threatened or harassed. For the tour itself, the on-the-ground logistics (transportation, hotels, meals & tickets) were spot on flawless. For a historical perspective two Egyptologists (one who had just submitted his Master's Thesis) provided the on-the-ground information and guidance throughout the tours and did a great job.
I had been looking forward to this trip with great anticipation since booking it in March 2023 (10 months ago). Did it meet my expectations..........yes!. Would I recommend it to others... Yes! If possible request Michael for Logistics and Michel & Mansour for your Egyptologists. These individuals delivered a 10 day program which I will remember for ever.

Even simple things like dropping me off at the airport for a flight the tour has booked for me, was literally just that , leaving me at the curb of the airport- no boarding pass, no flight information.
The information they do send you prior is all incorrect, just assume you will be on the first flight of the day, and somehow each flight day is jammed packed. You will fly to a location at 4am, have 8 hours worth of tours then have the next day completely open.
I also faced a horrible issue with being assaulted by a member of the boat staff that the tour company used- the staff of the tour company ( a tour that is tailored for solo women) told me that it wasn’t on camera and I was waving and smiling so they don’t see an issue, I was so traumatized from the Nile Bride that I literally slept with a chair in front of my door.
On my final day in Cairo I was dropped at the airport before check in for my flight had even opened.
While the guides and Egyptologist were wonderful, everything else was not safe or great. I would not recommend this tour.

Our tour guides were amazing, full of knowledge & treated us very well. Nothing was too difficult for them & they assisted us when needed. All transfers to & from airports & booked tours was very smooth & comfortable. We cannot praise them enough. Our tour guide Mansour was amazing, so kind & thoughtful. Accommodation was excellent in Cairo, & staff there were very helpful. The Nile River Cruise was good, comfy room, clean boat & very eager staff to assist you. We did find however that some staff members were very pushy with their merchandise. Not a Biggy really just annoying. All tours where fabulous & we saw so much beautiful history in Egypt. I would recommend this tour to anyone. We also felt very safe as security was high. We bought all our entry tickets on arrival in Cairo with Michael & were glad we did as we did not have to be in line for too long in the heat.

The overall experience was great because we got to see so many of the historical sites. The cruise ship was not so great. They claimed to be 5 star but the ship looked inferior. We insisted on moving and they changed the room. Hurghada hotel was ok but they gave us a room that was dirty. The counter bathroom and shower had dirt Mercure Hotel was a nice resort but dirty room.

The tour was organised excellently. First we flu to Dubai where Galal met us at the Dubai Airport and taken to Conrad Dubai, which is a 5 star Luxury hotel in Dubai. Following day from the hotel we were picked up by Mohomed Latif and we were taken around Bur Dubai (Old Dubai). He is an excellent tour guide and extremely safe. As per the schedule we were given an opportunity to go on a lovely dhow boat ride around Dubai Marina. After visiting 3 days in Dubai including the Miracle Gardens we were welcomed by Michael in Cairo Airport and accommodated us in one of the best hotels in Cairo.
Following day we were accompanied by Ashroof who is well knowledgeable in Egyptian history to visit Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza plateau. Following day we were flown to Aswan city followed up by Nile river cruise to Luxor. We were accompanied by Mansour Hussein until we Left Luxor ,who is again has a vast knowledge in Egyptian History. Also we had the opportunity to visit Abu Simble temple by flight.
We were extremely fortunate to go on a hot Air Ballon while were on the Nile river cruise.
Overall we would definitely recommend this trip with confidence to any one who is considering to visit Dubai and Egypt. Also a big thank you to Magdy Salem at Vacations to go travel and his team for excellent preparation.

The next person we met was Maged who was our guide to the Pyramids and various other sites. Maged's knowledge was amazing and he was very comprehensive with his information on the Ancient sites and was very helpful when it came to helping us with language and also bargaining for purchases. But our most favourite guide was Mansour, he was beyond words, so accomodating and helpful, very knowledgeable and present at all times during our Nile Cruise. Especially when my niece was ill he treated her as if she were his own daughter accompanying her and me to the hospital and making sure that everything was looked after and the care he showed was amazing. We will be eternally grateful to him and the other staff who made our stay so enjoyable. I will definitely be promoting your company and your staff to my family and friends as the company to travel with in Egypt. Thank you fro the bottom of our hearts for making our trip to Egypt so very very memorable.

I Went on the tour starting 9/2/2023 for 10 days. Let me start off that it was just too hot at this time of year to be enjoyable. With that being said, our Egyptologists and tour guides did try to …I Went on the tour starting 9/2/2023 for 10 days. Let me start off that it was just too hot at this time of year to be enjoyable. With that being said, our Egyptologists and tour guides did try to get things done at cooler times of day, but it was still just too hot, and just FYI, the old Egyptian museum has no air conditioning, and the new one is not open yet. Michael and our egyptologist guides were great, and the hotel in Cairo was very good. The cruise ship was ok, the staff was excellent, and the food was good enough. The best food on the entire trip was the Egyptian food from local places! All delicious. The hotel in Hurgada (Mercure) was beautiful on the outside, lovely grounds and pools, decent beach, the rooms were just ok and the all inclusive food was really horrible. Let me also say that the flying upgrade from anywhere is worth it in the inter country travel. Long van rides and buses are uncomfortable and there is no scenery to view. The other thing that is a bummer is that everyone and I mean everyone is looking for a tip, so be prepared with small bills for tipping . Also be prepared for endless harassment by vendors for you to purchase their goods or services. Sometimes it is friendly joking but other times it is invasive and a bit unnerving. I felt so harassed that I didn't feel comfortable going anywhere, which I usually love free time or having dinner in a town outside of the tour, but I just couldn't stand being hassled or overcharged, so I did very little if any exploring on my own, which for me was very disappointing . The group size was great, there were 11 of us and everyone was super nice. I think the tour would be so much more enjoyable in a cooler time of year.

Our Cairo guide, Tamer, was wonderful. He facilitated pricing interactions at the Pyramids, guided us through the museum and history of the area, and offered insights for food recommendations. We met up with Mansour in Aswan for the Nile cruise portion. His passion for history and the Egyptian people and culture were evident. We truly enjoyed his company and felt that he was our protector and advocate at all the temples and locations. The Nile cruise was a pleasant surprise. Spacious rooms and tasty food. The sun deck was empty at times. It’s felt like we had our own charter! We did not take the optional excursions and felt that there were plenty of temples and sites along the way. The rest of our group took the Abu Simbel trip. With long drive and short time at the location, it could be something to skip.

Cons: Hurghada room and drive from Luxor
We opted for two nights in Hurghada. This was the only portion that could be improved. The Mercury Hurghada has beautiful grounds and external features on the Red Sea. However, the food was fairly bland and the late night disco bass kept us awake into the night. We also had a leak in the ceiling that had to be repaired. Still, it was a gorgeous spot to relax and cool off in the Sea. Highly recommend the flight upgrade to return from Hurghada to Cairo at the end. Otherwise, it’s a long 7+ hour bus ride.
I was nervous about booking a trip to Egypt. However, the guides and itinerary was full of introductions to a variety of the highlights of Egypt. It was a small group (11) which was personalized, much appreciated when seeing the large buses full of people at certain spots. I highly recommend booking this trip. Coming home, we felt a true appreciation for Egypt and were in great hands with the tour company. Book it! All you have to think about each day is what time to meet for pickup. They take care of the rest. You won’t be disappointed.

Egypt was amazing. Our tour guide John at the pyramids and the museum was extremely knowledgable. Our driver in Egypt, including Cairo and Luxor was great, it was a clean, spacious and well driven car ride and was exactly as described as the booking description. All hotels were of a high standard and we extremely enjoyed the Luxor accomodation. In Luxor, our guide Mansour Hussein was absolutely amazing, his knowledge surrounding the valley of the kings and the Temples were outstanding.
We highly recommended this tour to all and it was a once in a lifetime experience.

We had some issues in Cairo and the rep, "Mad" Michael, could not have helped us any more than he did.
There is SO MUCH to see. You can only see a fraction of what there is. I think they struck a good balance - we saw some amazing sights, which took some effort on our partr, but there was enough time to get a good rest too.
This wasn't a five star tour (as reflected in the cost) so the accommodation wasn't five star (although the hotel in Aswan was really good) but the staff were absolutely five star.
I was shocked to discover that the guides hadn't had the opportunity to go to the British Museum. Vacations to Go please organise a trip for these guys in the off season to go see the Rosetta Stone.
