Please note, however, that we do not offer twin-share accommodation with other travellers. As your trip is planned for 2028, please keep in mind that we can only secure bookings up to one year in advance of your travel dates. We do not include international flights or visa services, and these would need to be arranged independently. We also do not operate all-inclusive meal packages, however we can certainly include breakfast as part of your accommodation if preferred, and the remainder of meals can be enjoyed flexibly during your trip. We absolutely can include accommodation, private transfers, curated experiences, and English-speaking guided tours throughout your journey.

Is there any way you could arrange one night's post-accommodation in Osaka, along with a transfer at the end of the trip? We're interested in visiting Mario World in Japan and spending 1 day at Jeju Island in September.

In order to visit Jeju Island from Seoul, you need to catch a flight that takes around 1 hour, and for that, you will need to add at least 2 days to be worth the travel. The package includes a daytrip to Osaka and back to Kyoto, however, they can stay in Osaka for the night and if they want to visit Mario World they need to add 1 extra day and for the next day we could arrange a private transfer to the airport.

I am looking for a small group tour of Japan and South Korea on or around 24th May. Could you please confirm the total number of travellers that will be on this tour from start to finish and how many of them are English speakers? I am looking for a small group tour where you travel with the same group of people (who are English speakers) throughout the trip. Will a tour guide be with us for the duration of the tour? What are the group sizes like?

Our packages are designed as a combination of day tours, accommodation, and transfers. This means you won't be traveling with the same group or guide throughout the entire trip. While you may occasionally see some familiar faces, most tours will include different guides and participants. During your free time, you'll have the flexibility to explore independently. Group sizes: Our walking tours and food experiences are typically small groups (up to 10 participants). For bus tours (such as Mount Fuji from Tokyo), group sizes usually range from 25 to 40 people, depending on the season and availability. Language: All of our day tours are conducted in English by default. If you prefer another language, this can be arranged as private tours. Duration: The length of each tour varies depending on the activity.

Can you explain the difference exactly with personalized. I did enjoyed the tour the first time but all these big hotels are too much. Their is a way to have hotels with small bedrooms more locals country site earthy.

We can definitely avoid big hotels and include more local and authentic style hotels. Could you share if you prefer 3, 4 or 5 star hotels?

We had a fantastic time visiting South Korea and Japan with TJ. The itinerary was well thought out and included several activities we might not have thought of booking ourselves. There was still enough free time allowed for us to do a bit of exploring on our own, but booking our trip this way removed all of the stress and the burden of planning the trip ourselves, especially with the language barrier. Most of the day trips / tours were handled by reputable third party local operators rather than TJ and handled professionally with English speaking guides. Some groups were a bit larger than we would have liked (e.g. best of Kyoto, which was on a large coach) but most were fantastic. There was some confusion caused by TJ sending an updated version of the itinerary which changed some start times and contact details and as a result, we missed one of the night tours at the very start of the trip. It was smooth sailing after that though, so I haven’t let that experience affect my rating. The hotels selected by TJ were acceptable and centrally located, but if I were to book the trip again, I’d opt to purchase an upgrade to accommodations. Overall a very positive experience that has me contemplating when we’ll be able to go back for more!Show more

  Japan: Our walking tours and food experiences are kept small, with a maximum of 10–12 guests, providing a more personal experience. For coach tours to destinations outside the city, such as Mount Fuji from Tokyo, group sizes can be up to 40 passengers, depending on the season.
  
  South Korea: Our walking tours and food experiences typically have a maximum of 10 guests, while our coach tours can accommodate groups of up to 50 passengers.
  
  To clarify, our style of travel is slightly different from a traditional fixed group tour. Your hotel stays, transfers, and overall itinerary are tailored to your preferences, while your day tours are shared with other travellers. This allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds — the social aspect of small group experiences, combined with the flexibility and freedom to travel at your own pace.
  
  We can certainly accommodate a Twin Room for your stay.
  
  Please also note that breakfast is not included as standard, but it can certainly be added if you prefer. However, many tours depart early in the morning, meaning you may not have time to enjoy breakfast at the hotel. For this reason, we generally recommend choosing a Room Only option and adding breakfast directly at the hotel on the mornings you wish to enjoy it, giving you greater flexibility throughout your trip.

Is there any way you could arrange one night's post-accommodation in Osaka, along with a transfer at the end of the trip? We're interested in visiting Mario World in Japan and spending 1 day at Jeju Island in September.

  In order to visit Jeju Island from Seoul, you need to catch a flight that takes around 1 hour, and for that, you will need to add at least 2 days to be worth the travel.
  
  The package includes a daytrip to Osaka and back to Kyoto, however, they can stay in Osaka for the night and if they want to visit Mario World they need to add 1 extra day and for the next day we could arrange a private transfer to the airport.

I am looking for a small group tour of Japan and South Korea on or around 24th May. Could you please confirm the total number of travellers that will be on this tour from start to finish and how many of them are English speakers? I am looking for a small group tour where you travel with the same group of people (who are English speakers) throughout the trip. Will a tour guide be with us for the duration of the tour? What are the group sizes like?

While you may occasionally see some familiar faces, most tours will include different guides and participants. During your free time, you'll have the flexibility to explore independently.
  
  Group sizes: Our walking tours and food experiences are typically small groups (up to 10 participants). For bus tours (such as Mount Fuji from Tokyo), group sizes usually range from 25 to 40 people, depending on the season and availability.
  
  Language: All of our day tours are conducted in English by default. If you prefer another language, this can be arranged as private tours.
  
  Duration: The length of each tour varies depending on the activity.

Can you explain the difference exactly with personalized. I did enjoyed the tour the first time but all these big hotels are too much. Their is a way to have hotels with small bedrooms more locals country site earthy.

For tours departing after October 31st, 2026, a minimum payment of 35% is required to confirm your booking with Tourist Journey. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
