Most clients stay overnight at the tour start point hotel , the Court Classique Hotel, which is in Pretoria. 2) how many internal flights do we take Answer: None. The tour is by road only. 3) the tent does it provide linen, soft something to lay on etc. Answer: This is an accommodated tour with one night (in the Okavango) where we stay in pre -erected tents with bedding. 4) at ens of tour do you provide transportation to our hotel Answer: Yes.

Regrettably, there are no tour departures scheduled for 21/22 December 2025. The following scheduled dates are available to book: Starts 15 December 2025 and ends 26 December 2025, Starts 29 December 2025 and ends 09 January 2026

Will my friends get back to Johannesburg in time for their 18:45 flight? This would mean them getting back by 1500 at the latest.

It is impossible to guarantee a tour end time, as it all depends on road traffic, stops and any delays. As a guideline, the tour could end anytime between 15h00 - 18h00. We therefore strongly advise clients to fly out the following day or schedule their departure flight for after 9pm on the last day of tour. The other alternative is to fly out of Maun, Botswana on Day 11, missing the day's activities.

Can I take photos using my cell phone during the tour?

You can take pictures with your phone or camera, except in prohibited areas such as border crossings, government buildings, and near police officers. Your tour leader will guide you regarding these restrictions.

What an amazing trip! We saw the 'Big 5' in the first week! Including TWO leopards. The guides were all shocked. Aaron, our driver, was absolutely the best and when you book this trip (and you should) try to request him. Incredible, organized, kind and knowledgeable. We wish Aaron came with all our Tour Radar trips! The two places you can't miss are Chobe and Motobos. Be aware, this is Africa and the accommodations may not be similar to what you expect. You don't need a lot of clothes as nearly all lodges offer laundry. Weather was cold (for us) so if you come in July-Aug, bring a jacket. Thank you Acacia and to Aaron for making this the trip of our dreams.Show more

Great tour, well organised, very knowledgeable and friendly guide. 2 suggestions: - please add safari pass amount to overall tour fee and make payable upfront. It’s safer not to carry lots of cash. Also guide does not need all this cash as most fees can be paid by credit card. - tipping is expected on most activities. It’s often difficult to figure out the right amount even with the help of the guide. Suggest to make the guide tip on behalf of the group taking the money from the safari pass or ask everybody to pay a small amount upfront (e.g. USD 10) to the guide.Show more

With much sadness we have just finished our 12 day Delta Chobe Waterways tour in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The trip was our belated honeymoon and we couldn't have picked a better option. The places we visited and people we met were fascinating, beautiful, friendly and unforgetable. The constant throughout our trip however was our wonderful guide Simon Tawanira. From the very start he was welcoming, helpful and made the trip entirely worry-free. He generously shared so much information about the countries we visited and animals we were fortunate enough to see. We shared many stories and laughs. We will very much miss our fabulous guide and are a little concerned about how we will organise ourselves without him! This was always going to be an amazing trip but Simon made it truly memorable. Any one lucky enough to book a trip with him with have a fantastic time and learn so much. Thank you. Show more

The tour was amazing travelling from South Africa, Zimbabwe and through to Botswana ,saw some incredible natural wonders such as Vic Falls, national parks and being taken through the Delta river by small canoes. A real slice of heaven. I especially love the camp in the Delta where their had erected a manual shower and a loo our the back of the tent, so when looking up at night you could see the stars, the moon and where surrounded by natural wonders. Hearing the sounds of the night , little reed frogs and the sounds of hippos talking to one another was amazing. Wish the tour was longer and that we could have stayed a little longer in each place to really soak up the vibe of the towns that we visited. Nice small group to travel with 6-7 people and accommodation was far beyond my expectations.Show more

  The dossier I uploaded provides estimates of day to day driving distances and gives names of accommodations. The majority of these are small privately owned and managed tourist class lodgings. Some have air-conditioning, but not all (for instance in the Okavango where we stay in pre erected tents with bedding, there being no permanent structures ).
