I'm looking at doing your 26 day Stan's tour in August 2027. I noticed there is a great special on the 2026 tour at the moment. Can we expect the 2027 tour to be similarly discounted next year?

At this stage, we can't confirm whether the 2027 departure will be similarly discounted, as promotions are subject to change and haven't yet been released for next year.

Do you offer tours with a French-speaking guide or guides in other languages such as Portuguese and Spanish?

unfortunately all our tours have english speaking guides.

if we have 8 people in a group can you do a private tour for us in the month of May 2026?

At this time, we do not have any available departure dates for 'The Five Stans of the Silk Road' for May 2026, that we would be able to take over as a private departure, as they are all sold out. If your group is still interested, we can look into opening a new departure date. We can send you a quote for a new date of your choosing.

I saw group size start 10-16 So less than 10ppl can't guarantee departure right? If so how can I book my tickets and also apply visa after I pay deposits?

Although the maximum group size on this tour is 16 travellers, the tour is guaranteed to depart with 1 traveller confirmed. Therefore if you book on, you would be guaranteed and you can proceed to book your flights.

The visa application of Turkmenistan require the help from travel agent, what kind of help will you provide?

In order to secure your visa, you must first apply for a Letter of Invitation through G Adventures. Once your trip is confirmed, you will need to submit your application for your Turkmenistan Letter of Invitation no later than 40 days before the start of your tour and we will send this form to you to complete.

Does the operator help with the visas for some of these countries?

Visas are the responsibility of the individual traveller. The visa requirements vary depending on where you are from. If you require a letter of invitation for any visas we can assist with this. All nationalities require a Visa to enter Turkmenistan. In order to secure your visa, you must first apply for a Letter of Invitation through G Adventures. Once your trip is confirmed, please submit your application for your Turkmenistan Letter of Invitation no later than 40 days before the start of your tour.

when booking the trip do I need to get each currency from my bank or will credit cards work in all of the countries? What would accommodation look like, are we staying at local's houses or in Airbnb/hotels? Is it guaranteed that there's a group of people or if I was the only person to book this tour, would I be alone? I'm a German citizen so would I have to get visas myself or would you take care of that for me?

In general Central Asia is a cash operating region, and travellers cheques are not recommended. Better to bring about 70 USD in small denominations: 1, 5 and 10 USD notes. Our tours are guaranteed, so even if only one person signs up we could still run the tour. Accommodations used each night are: Standard hotels (20 nts twin share), yurts (3 nts multishare up to 4 people per yurt), homestay (2 nt, multi-share room). Visa and entry requirements would be your responsibility to manage, but we can assist with the Turkmenistan Letter of Invitation.

I'm interested in traveling with a group in this circuit, in single accomodation. I'm flexible with depparting dates (June to October). I would appreciate it if you could send me a quotation for departign June 21, 2025, or other date you may have availability.

- Tick-borne encephalitis - Recommended for Kazakhstan.Tajikistan. Ideally 3 months before travel.
- Cholera - Recommended for Tajikistan. Ideally 2 weeks before travel.
Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 19th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 19th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "G Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of G Adventures. Please familiarize yourself with the G Adventures payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
