Not only did I experience what I called "National Geographic Live" and managed to see ALL the animals on my bucket list but one, but the tour was also excellently organized. We had a great guide, Simon, who took care of us all. I have to specifically thank him for looking after my mom at times when she did not participate in scheduled activities.
The accommodation were impressive considering that we sometimes were in the middle of nowhere. We always had a pool, great lounge areas and it was very atmospheric - really at times felt like one is on a luxury safari tour. The bungalows sometimes were in private game reserves (therefore increasing animal encounter possibilities) which I loved.
I have to admit that I was nervous about the long drives, but the bus was spacious and comfortable and Simon was a very safe driver. The time went by painlessly looking out of panoramic 360 windows (yes, without curtains, but that meant unobstructed view) and listening to Simon on various subjects ( that we quizzed him on) including local life, history, food, etc. Also playing UNO with the rest of the gang. :)
I work in the travel industry and I have to say I could not have picked a better tour for the quality and the price point. This was really a once in a lifetime experience, during which, my mother actually had to say: "Please, not another elephant." :D

The location in Maun, although good in many ways including the food there, ca…Overall, this was a good tour. Some days we were in the van for endless hours...but I understand that this was necessary. The location in Maun, although good in many ways including the food there, caused a lot of extra driving to the boat depot. Many of us wished that there had been more time to relax ...as the schedule didn't allow for much. I was very impressed with our driver/guide, Simon, who was extremely conscientious and worked long & hard every day . The accommodations ranged from excellent to adequate. The last place in Botswana would be fine in the summertime, but the "open air" rooms were quite chilly when we were there.

As for the Tour, the level is "easy". Guides and vehicles are not always up to standard while meals and accommodation are of a good standard. Guides and vehicles are not always up to standard while meals and accommodation are of a good standard. There is no contact with the people, we are too closed in the "cages" reserved for tourists. For those who for the first time travel to Africa and want to get an idea I recommend it, while if you want something more, even with greater contact with people, maybe it is better to change agency.

Th…With much sadness we have just finished our 12 day Delta Chobe Waterways tour in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The trip was our belated honeymoon and we couldn't have picked a better option. The places we visited and people we met were fascinating, beautiful, friendly and unforgetable. The constant throughout our trip however was our wonderful guide Simon Tawanira. From the very start he was welcoming, helpful and made the trip entirely worry-free. He generously shared so much information about the countries we visited and animals we were fortunate enough to see. We shared many stories and laughs. We will very much miss our fabulous guide and are a little concerned about how we will organise ourselves without him! This was always going to be an amazing trip but Simon made it truly memorable. Any one lucky enough to book a trip with him with have a fantastic time and learn so much. Thank you.

We saw all…I just got back from a 14 day Southern African Magic (Accommodated). The trip was absolutely amazing. My best vacation so far. This was my first trip alone. Thanks to the guide I felt safe. We saw all the attractions you could ever wish to see and had plenty of time to do our own exploration if we wanted it. We were able to see the big five. Our guide Simon was terrific. He made sure everyone was doing well, and if someone complained, he always tried to find solutions. That man always had a big smile no matter what, and sense of humor. He was our wikipedia on the trip. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about showing what South Africa has to offer. His enthusiasm was very infectious and he was great in creating a true family spirit within the group. Would definitely recommend Acacia to other travelers :-)

The tour was amazing travelling from South Africa, Zimbabwe and through to Botswana ,saw some incredible natural wonders such as Vic Falls, national parks and being taken through the Delta river by s…The tour was amazing travelling from South Africa, Zimbabwe and through to Botswana ,saw some incredible natural wonders such as Vic Falls, national parks and being taken through the Delta river by small canoes. A real slice of heaven. I especially love the camp in the Delta where their had erected a manual shower and a loo our the back of the tent, so when looking up at night you could see the stars, the moon and where surrounded by natural wonders. Hearing the sounds of the night , little reed frogs and the sounds of hippos talking to one another was amazing. Wish the tour was longer and that we could have stayed a little longer in each place to really soak up the vibe of the towns that we visited. Nice small group to travel with 6-7 people and accommodation was far beyond my expectations.

All accommodations are clean and exactly what I expected from a safari style holiday. The food was also excellent to exceptional in all locations we stayed. The weather at this time of the year was perfect for us; cold in the mornings/evenings and 25 to 30 during the day, always with blue sky.
