Do you not run any tours in December/January?

We don't run departures during those months because of the wildlife viewing. April should be the season for wildlife viewing and then it improves as conditions dry out and animals are easier to spot so we run this trip from April to October.

Do they offer transportation to and from the airport? How do group trips form? Is it up to me to form a group, or do they put one together, one person at a time, randomly? Do they arrange (and is one included) a hotel for before and after the tour? Can they book me for an extra day on both ends? Tips - who to tip, and how much?

We provide 1 free arrival and 1 free departure transfer (set specific times dependent on the departure date). We can also provide private transfers for an additional cost. Our groups are a maximum of 12 travelers, generally made up solo travelers, friends, and couples travelling together. We can arrange pre and post tour accommodation at the start/end hotels! Pricing would be dependent on the tour dates chosen. For tipping: If you feel your leader and support team have performed well, you may want to show your appreciation of their services. The sum you choose to give is entirely personal, but as a guide we suggest around 65 pula (US$5) per person per day for the whole staff. For the two nights in the Okavango Delta we recommend a tip of approximately 250 pula (USD20) per person for our polers.

As we are all over 70 what accommodation is provided on this tour? If camp siters what would the cost be to upgrade to lodges?

My first time in Africa. I liked the look of the trip but had not especially researched each area and country...
My first time in Africa. I liked the look of the trip but had not especially researched each area and country beforehand. So many unforgettable moments - from getting close to the big animals in places like Chobe, to the sheer expanse of the desert landscapes in Namibia, to the wonderful Canyon Roadhouse in Namib, and the fun with pelicans while ostensibly dolphin watching nr Wallvis Bay. And then some - the beautiful surroundings of Cape Town and 'sweetest' accommodation. The guides got us through some very testing moments - from bus failure nr Rundu, followed by a dash to Etosha, and other serious incidents, in addition to driving us over immense distance >5Kkm, over untarmacced roads, and providing varied meals, mostly after a long days drive and setting up camp.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of 25% is required to confirm your booking with Exodus Adventure Travels. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 120 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
