- Day 1
Lake Nakuru National Park
Your hotel pickup happens at 8 am, then you're heading into Lake Nakuru National Park for a full day of game viewing across the Great Rift Valley. The park's landscape features thick acacia forests along with giant fig and mahogany trees throughout. Wildlife here includes giraffes, elephants, impalas, buffaloes, baboons, blue monkeys, and hippos. The lake itself offers great opportunities to photograph giraffes and buffaloes with water as your backdrop. You'll return to camp by evening for dinner.

- Day 2
Ngorongoro Crater
An early transfer gets you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once there, you descend to the crater floor for a morning of wildlife viewing in this massive natural basin. The crater covers 102 square miles with walls rising 2,000 feet high and contains nearly every East African wildlife species, including the rare black rhino. Inside the crater floor you'll find a river, swamps, a soda lake with flamingos, patches of forest, and open plains all mixed together. After an afternoon game drive, you'll climb back out and head to your accommodation.

Lake Nakuru to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you're departing for the Serengeti, which is the most famous national park in the region. The drive itself is quite scenic and gives you your first look at why locals call it the 'endless plains.' The park covers 6,900 square miles of grassland stretching across the horizon. This is where the Great Migration happens, with roughly 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and many antelope species. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas are common sightings throughout this landscape.

- Day 4
Serengeti National Park
You've got a full day in the Serengeti and the schedule works around what suits you best. Your guide will help plan the day by discussing when animals are most active and when you should wake up. You could do a morning drive, return to camp for lunch and rest, then head out again in the afternoon. Or you might prefer one longer game drive from start to finish with a picnic lunch in the field. It's your choice how the day flows.

Serengeti National Park
You're traveling across the remote Serengeti plains today following the Great Migration. Which areas you reach depends on the season, so you might head far north near the Kenya border, down south to the Ndutu Area, or westward through the park. Wildlife viewing opportunities are significant throughout the day as you track the migration patterns.

Serengeti National Park
Another day of driving through remote Serengeti locations tracking the Great Migration. Depending on the time of year, you could find yourself way up north toward Kenya, in the southern Ndutu Area, or in the western sections of the park. This day brings more memorable wildlife viewing across one of the most significant landscapes in the region.

- Day 7
Serengeti to Arusha
You have choices for how this day works out. Option 1 involves a very early wake-up for a morning game drive when animals are most active, followed by one of the nicest sunrises you're likely to see. After the drive, you'll return to camp for brunch, then head to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha or onward to somewhere like Zanzibar. Option 2 lets you stay at camp and relax instead of the early morning drive.
