Can you give price range estimates of city tours of Rome, Florence, Pisa etc to plan the budget?

We suggest depending on your preference a Vespa side car tour of Rome for just $119 per person, or a Colosseum tour or / and Vatican depending on how indepth you want to go with those attractions. $79 and $99 respectively with skip the line tickets and a guide. In Florence we recommend a walking tour and snacks with our guide for just $99 per person. And in Venice we recommend a Murano Burano tour + a walking tour with our guide for just $149 per person. Let us know what works and we should be able to get you some discounts to get going.

Does this tour tend to attract young (under 45) single travelers from the US? Can you provide me with an average demographics breakdown for this tour? Specifically, I'd like to know: percent of travelers under 45, percent traveling solo, percent from the US. Also, I'd like to know if we would be traveling, eating, and lodging with one consistent group for the most part or many different groups?

We won't have the demographics breakdown as there are other operators participating in the tour as well but I would say roughly 35-40% travelers be <45yo, solo travelers should be 10-12%, US travelers about 15% and overall English speaking travelers should be about 28-30%. These are just rough figures. You would have different groups & guides on each excursion so the group won't be consistent which gives you sufficient time to self explore.

Because this tour has so much room for self-exploration of these cities, is it possible to know the exact hotels that are used in order to best know what I'll be close to during my stay? The plan is to be in Italy in May, but specific dates are to be determined.

A decent tour that is basically accommodation and transport covered. Most days are yours to do as you wish. There are plenty of optional excursions and upgrades that we took up at extra costs. All the accommodation was in fantastic locations near trains and/or taxis. The Republic hotel in Rome was the definition of perfect. Great service, room and location. Beware in Europes winter some hotels turn off air conditioning and just have heating which in one case the room was quite stifling. The Rialto Hotel in Venice was at the foot of the Rialto Bridge so location was brilliant. We were in fits of laughter over the decor though! We upgraded to some private transfers and our driver Massimo in Como deserves a special mention for being the best! Absolute gentleman, extremely helpful and just the nicest man.Show more

  I need the tour guide to be fluent in English for sure, and prefer that the majority of travelers be US English speakers. We're looking to make friends with other solo travelers. So this tour won't work for us.

We do have a Solo special going to Brazil and Argentina on 8th of march, you may be interested in that one and that will have majority of participants as English speaking people.
