Maun to Kalahari Private Reserve
Your guide picks you up at your lodge in Maun at 07:30, then drives 120 km to a private reserve on the northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Once you arrive, you'll set up camp and get a safari briefing before settling in for your first night of wild camping.

Kalahari Private Reserve
You wake up with the sunrise and head out on game drives and a guided nature walk with a local San tracker who shares knowledge of the bush and San culture. The area offers chances to spot desert wildlife like oryx, springbok, eland, lions, brown hyenas, and cheetahs. Later, you'll camp again under the clear night sky.

Kalahari Private Reserve to Central Kalahari Game Reserve
Rising with the sunrise, you drive 80 km into the untouched wilderness of Botswana's largest game reserve, heading to the northern region of the Central Kalahari. This takes about 3-4 hours including game drive time. You'll spend the night at a private, designated campsite that has bush sanitary facilities.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve to Boteti River
After breaking camp this morning, you drive slowly toward the Makgadikgadi area, covering 180 km over about 4-5 hours including game drive time. By evening, you reach the edge of Makgadikgadi National Park and set up at a camp with views of the Boteti River in Khumaga village. In the afternoon you go on a game drive in the park.

Boteti River to Okavango Delta
You start with an early breakfast, then drive through Maun to pick up drinks for the rest of your safari. At the edge of the Okavango Delta, you meet your polers from the local community with their traditional mekoro dugout canoes. From there you begin a tranquil ride through reed-lined channels and floodplains, ending with wild camping on a small island for the first of two nights.

Okavango Delta
The day is spent exploring the islands and waterways of the Okavango Delta with mokoro excursions and nature walks. You'll experience the tranquil water channels and unique ecosystem while camping on your island.

- Day 9
Okavango Delta to Maun
You leave the channels of the Okavango Delta and move to the drier regions, setting up camp and freshening up. After lunch at the campsite, you have the option to book a 45-minute sightseeing flight or a 30-minute helicopter flight over the delta (cash USD payment required). That night you stay at a campsite on the outskirts of Maun with permanent sanitary facilities.

Maun to Moremi Game Reserve
You enter Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana's best wilderness areas with both swamp and dry regions. Early morning game drives start as the sun rises, then you return to camp for lunch and siesta. Late afternoon drives follow as the sun sets. You'll camp on private, designated campsites with bush sanitary facilities, covering about 100 km over 5-7 hours.

Moremi Game Reserve

West Moremi to Khwai River

North-East Moremi to Savuti
You head toward Chobe National Park with its diverse landscapes. After crossing the drier Savuti region where elephant bulls populate the plains, you continue north toward the Chobe River. Game drives follow the riverbanks with chances to hear the call of African fish eagles. You'll camp in a private area with bush sanitation in the Savuti area, covering about 120 km over 7-8 hours.

Savuti to Chobe River
A transfer and game drive takes you from southern Chobe National Park to the Chobe River floodplain in the north. You'll explore northern Chobe with game drives and camp in a private, designated area closer to the riverbank with bush sanitation, covering about 170 km over 5-6 hours.

Chobe River to Victoria Falls
After a short morning game drive, you head to Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side (visa required), traveling about 100 km over 3 hours not including border crossing. You'll spend the night in a comfortable lodge, with the afternoon free to visit the thundering falls and browse for curiosities. Dinner is at your own expense.

Victoria Falls
The safari officially ends after breakfast at the lodge. Bush Ways can arrange additional accommodation, activities, and transfers to the airport or to other lodges in Victoria Falls or Kasane, Botswana for an extra cost.
