Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha
Your Exodus Safari representative will meet you at the airport and drive you to Arusha. The drive gives you time to settle in and get oriented before things get going. Once you reach your accommodation, you'll have the rest of the day to rest up and prepare for what's ahead.

- Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park to Karatu
After breakfast, your guide picks you up for the drive to Tarangire National Park, about two and a half hours on good roads. You'll spend the morning and early afternoon looking for elephant herds around the Tarangire River, along with giraffe, lions, leopards, and lots of bird species (over 500 are found here). Lunch happens at a picnic site in the park, then you'll head to your accommodation in Karatu for the evening.

Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti
Following breakfast, you'll drive into the higher, cooler areas of Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater itself. This massive geological formation formed two to three million years ago and holds huge populations of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater offers your best shot at seeing black rhinos, which are endangered and rarely spotted elsewhere. Later, you'll travel through the conservation area and enter the Serengeti from the southern edge.

- Day 4
Serengeti
The day focuses on exploring the Serengeti's wide-open grasslands with excellent opportunities to see wildlife. Large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope move through constantly in search of fresh grass, especially during migration season. You'll likely encounter lions, cheetahs, and leopards as well. By afternoon, you'll begin the drive back toward Karatu.

- Day 5
Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a smaller but varied park located about 120km west of Arusha. The Great Rift Escarpment rises dramatically along the western side, and the park itself holds thousands of wading birds including flamingos, plus tree-climbing lions, baboons, and elephants. You'll have a picnic lunch in the park, and afterward your guide will drop you at your choice of destination: Arusha town, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport.
