What people love about Iceland Tours from Reykjavik
- Best of Iceland
This tour fully met my expectations. Biggy, the tour guide did a very commendable job. Nothing was too much trouble for him to manage. The small group meant any problems were minimal anyway. The group gelled and everybody got on well. The scenery and places we were taken to were just great. The mix of accommodation styles were fine. I really enjoyed Iceland and would recommend the G Adventure style of travel to anybody of reasonable fitness and health.
- 8 Day - Iceland Northern Lights Tour
Our tour guide, Alvero, was excellent. Although not a native of Iceland he obviously loved his new country as he was very knowledgeable about Iceland. You are completely on your own in getting to and from the airport, and our Reykavik hotel (Reykavik Lights Hotel Natura) was in the middle of nowhere - no restaruants, entertainment, shopping, etc - just a small airport.. The hotel itself was good. The rooms were OK and the staff was helpful and friendly.. We accumulated over $200 dollars in cab expenses just to get to and from our hotel and the places we needed to be. The tour itself, although packed, was very good. We saw all of the places that Icelenad is known for. The weather even cooperated - no rain until the last day of our trip.
- 8 Days Northern Lights Exploration – Small Group
GJ tours provided an excellent itinerary and tour director. Simona was not only our tour director but also the driver of our bus which had a small trailer attached for our luggage. She is a resident of Iceland and her love of the culture and landscapes was very evident in all her presentations. Simon a was extremely knowledgeable and competent. Her concern for our safety at all times was very reassuring. IMHO, the hotel Klettur in Reykjavik could be replaced by another one in better repair and with a larger lobby for the huge groups constantly meeting in it to join tours. I would have preferred more detailed information for specifically.where to meet on the first morning and for handlers to get our bags to and from our hotel room doors. Overall, GJ is very organized and took us to some spectacular places.
