Our tours depart at 09:00. Therefore, you would need to book this tour to start on March 14th. You would be back to Reykjavik on March 20th at around 18:30-19:00.

Can I extend my hotel stay before and after the tour?

We can arrange pre and post accommodation, and depending on the availability we can offer a quote. At the moment, an option would be Hótel Cabin for 230 AUD/ night. (standard single room)

How much walking is involved on this tour? Are there long or steep hikes?

This tour does not have difficult and steep hiking trails. This is an easy tour, mainly focused on sightseeing. There are some places the customers will need to walk on gravel trails 15-20 minutes, but no elevation.

I understand we pay individually for lunch and dinner. I know price will vary, but how much do you recommend I budget for meals? Also, I am a solo traveler. I do not mind sharing a room. Is there a single supplement?

I reckon about 80-100 EUR per day for lunch and dinner is enough. You will also have options to go to supermarkets to buy cheaper options while on the tour. If you wish, you can add a single room supplement and get a private single room throughout the tour.

I see that Forest Lagoon is offer as an optional but I don't see the mention of it in the itinerary. May I confirm that it is part of the itinerary?

If the tour starts on the 7th of April, are we expected to fly in no later than the 6th? Do we have to secure a hotel room on the night of the 6th? If so, is there a particular hotel to stay at? How do we get from/to the airport? Is there a single supplement? Is the tour in English? How many on the tour?

We advise arriving in Iceland on the day before the starting date of the tour. You can book a hotel or accomodation by your own, but you can also request us a quote to add one night in Reykjavik, from 06th to 07th of April. From the airport, you can book a transfer with Flybus. Yes, if you wanna a room just for yourself, you have to pay a single supplement. Yes, our tours are provided in English, and usually we have a maximum of 15 - 18 passengers. The tours are provided on a small group tour.

Is it at all possible to arrange a short horseback ride - 1-1/2 hour on the Icelandic ponies at anyplace along the route? I see that there are several places where hourly rides can be booked - I just don't know proximity and logistics to this tour route. I so much hope to do this.

I'm afraid we are not able to add a horseback ride in this tour. We strongly recommend arriving at least a day before in Iceland and leave a day or two after the tour is finished. You will then have some free days in Reykjavík and you can book a horseback riding tour from Reykjavík.

A visually appealing trip with plenty of stops to explore the wonders that Iceland has to offer. Our wonderful guide, HBO, made the experience seamless and was able to adjust the program so that we could see almost everything on the itinerary, even though the weather was against us for 24 hours. The only negative aspect of the trip was the overcrowded bus. Unfortunately, there were more people on the trip than advertised, and the bus itself was extremely small. We were unable to place our day packs in the overhead compartments as they were too small, so we had to keep them at our feet. The seats were also very cramped—our shoulders overlapped, which left us sitting at awkward angles. As average-sized adults, our knees were pressed against the seats in front of us as well. This made the extended time in the bus very challenging.Show more

Nature at her finest. Now the negative was the bus. To many people (more then what they advertise, so misleading) We had two people out of 4 sitting in the back seat who couldn’t see out any windows properly. My friend and I enjoyed our 6 day experience on the ring road and a few detours to see waterfalls, sheep, reindeer and basalt columns. Although our last night was changed due to blizzard like conditions and we returned to Reykjavik, our tour guide showed us some incredible places on the southern peninsula that wasn't originally on the tour. The winds were strong and the waves crashed against the cliffs making it a day to remember. We visited Reykjanes Lighthouse, Grindavik (modern ghost town since volcano eruption in 2024), and had lunch at the Fish House. I highly recommend this bus tour around Iceland. Leave the driving to experienced drivers (we saw many rental cars off the road due to weather conditions, learn about the history of the country, the dying language and points of interest not on other tours!Show more

I spent six days in Iceland in January as a solo female traveler and had the most incredible experience — so much so that I already know I need to come back in the summer. I was deeply impressed by the people, the culture, and the sheer beauty of the country. Iceland exceeded every expectation. While winter travel can be limiting due to road closures and extreme weather, the landscapes are beyond belief. The volcanoes, mountains, craters, black sand beaches, and glaciers look unreal. I truly couldn’t believe my eyes. For three of those days, Kolbeinn was my guide, and he was outstanding. We covered long distances in difficult winter conditions, including a full blizzard, and his driving was nothing short of exceptional. At all times I felt completely safe, even on icy mountain roads in near-whiteout conditions. Beyond being an excellent driver, Kolbeinn has an impressive depth of knowledge about Iceland’s history, culture, and landscape. He answered every question with patience and insight and clearly takes pride in sharing his country with visitors. He was professional, calm, accommodating, and genuinely kind throughout the entire trip. Because of his professionalism and skill, I would absolutely return and specifically request him as my guide. Kolbeinn (Colin) is the kind of guide who turns a great trip into an unforgettable one. Eddie was also a fantastic guide knowledgeable, fun, and extremely accommodating. He made every day enjoyable and added a great energy to the experience. I cannot recommend this tour and these guides highly enough.Show more

  All I asked was a price for the tour based on 2 people with twin bed. The website just quotes a price based on a double bed. In uk twin bed refers to 2 single beds that is what I would require. If you could also quote for additional price for night before tour starts as well.

How much walking is involved on this tour? Are there long or steep hikes?

  This tour does not have difficult and steep hiking trails. This is an easy tour, mainly focused on sightseeing. There are some places the customers will need to walk on gravel trails 15-20 minutes, but no elevation.

I understand we pay individually for lunch and dinner. I know price will vary, but how much do you recommend I budget for meals? Also, I am a solo traveler. I do not mind sharing a room. Is there a single supplement?

  I reckon about 80-100 EUR per day for lunch and dinner is enough. You will also have options to go to supermarkets to buy cheaper options while on the tour.
  
  If you wish, you can add a single room supplement and get a private single room throughout the tour.

  I am comparing two different 6 days ring road tours from your company but i realise the optional ice cave is $229 on this tour but only $176 on the other tour. May i know why there is a big difference in price between these 2 tours for the same ice cave?

  I checked that the winter crystal ice cave is usually cheaper than katla ice cave for summer (based on other tour websites). So for nov, the cheaper price ($176) should be more accurate?

  There seems to be some discrepancy. The prices for the ice cave tour have been updated for both of the tours. The price per person for both tours is 148 EUR.

  We advise arriving in Iceland on the day before the starting date of the tour. You can book a hotel or accomodation by your own, but you can also request us a quote to add one night in Reykjavik, from 06th to 07th of April. From the airport, you can book a transfer with Flybus. Yes, if you wanna a room just for yourself, you have to pay a single supplement. Yes, our tours are provided in English, and usually we have a maximum of 15 - 18 passengers. The tours are provided on a small group tour.

Is it at all possible to arrange a short horseback ride - 1-1/2 hour on the Icelandic ponies at anyplace along the route? I see that there are several places where hourly rides can be booked - I just don't know proximity and logistics to this tour route. I so much hope to do this.

  We strongly recommend arriving at least a day before in Iceland and leave a day or two after the tour is finished. You will then have some free days in Reykjavík and you can book a horseback riding tour from Reykjavík.
