- Days 1-2
Reykjavik & Golden Circle
Start in Reykjavik by visiting Hallgrímskirkja church and Harpa concert hall. Want to avoid crowds at the Blue Lagoon? Book your visit for early morning if you arrive on an early flight. For the Golden Circle, leave Reykjavik by 8:30 AM to get ahead of tour buses at Thingvellir National Park. You can stand right between continental plates here. Watch Strokkur geyser erupt 2-3 times. The show happens every 5-10 minutes. Last stop is Gullfoss waterfall. You'll want waterproof gear since the spray reaches far.

Head east to Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. The paths get slippery, so good hiking boots are essential. Next is Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Try to arrive late afternoon for the best photos. Look for thousands of swans in Alftafjordur during late summer.

What people love about 10-day Iceland tours
- 10 Days Complete Iceland Summer | Ring-Road, Snæfellsnes Peninsula & Roundtrip airport transfer (Group Tour)
I was very satisfied with my tour in Iceland. The drivers were mostly prompt in picking us up. I was especially impressed with Johann as ur tour guide the last 6 days. He was extremely knowledgeable about his country, kind and caring and very pleasant. I highly recommend hm as tour guide.
- 10 Days Self-drive | In-Depth Iceland Ring Road Tour (Winter)
This was a great adventure. The trip is well organized and once we booked a tour the company was very responsive. There are so many places to see and explore each day, and it makes for long days with late arrivals at the hotels. All the hotels were very satisfactory. I had 2 concerns regarding the trip. 1) The beer spa. Our visit was scheduled for 2pm and there is no way that we could possibly been there by that time. It followed a long day of exploring the Snaefellsness Pennisula. It did not seem possible to cover that amount of area and still arrive back in time for the beer spa appointment. We had to skip this one. 2) Why was Hella selected as one of our hotel overnights? We had to cover so much ground and events in the first few days and then suddenly our daily driving time dropped significantly the last couple of days. What were we supposed to do near Hella?
- Glaciers and Aurora Tour: Around Iceland in Winter
I thought the entire tour was outstanding. Our guide, Jens, showed us everything we could want to see. I love that the accommodations were mostly in small guest houses and hotels. It felt like we were visiting with long lost relatives. We got to see so many features, fjords and waterfalls, and so many things that I can't even list them all. We were introduced to some Iceland horses, and fed them horse candy. Jens was very accommodating to my walking issues, and advised about some of the trails. Every couple of days, he would read us a folk tale about one of the features we saw. We even had the skies clear one night for us to be able to see the Aurora. It was amazing. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Jens as a guide.
