    I've recently become a gay, solo traveler and love to travel. Iceland is on my bucket list. When do you think this tour may take place? Are there other tours that you would recommend. I love to hike, but, am not an extreme hiker.

      The Iceland Explorer is a fantastic choice, especially if you're looking for a balance of iconic sights and active exploration. This tour showcases Iceland's dramatic landscapes—from waterfalls and glaciers to volcanic scenery and geothermal areas—while staying in comfortable hotels and travelling at a well-paced rhythm. It's ideal for travellers who want to experience the highlights of Iceland without feeling rushed! We generally see an average of 50% of our travellers are solo so you'll be in great company! We currently have two departure dates remaining for Fall 2026: Sunday, 6 September – Tuesday, 15 September 2026 and Sunday, 11 October – Tuesday, 20 October 2026. 2027 dates should be released in the coming weeks. If you're specifically looking for an easy to moderate hiking experience, we also have several other excellent options and I'd be happy to help narrow down the best fit for you.

      The best time to see the Northern Lights in Iceland is typically between September and April. They are based on the forecast so there is no way to guarantee when they will be out. However, Since February has a high chance of seeing the Northern Lights, if they are out during the tour you will be able to see them!
