I have read the luggage description of 24" plus a carry on. One instruction for the carry on piece is a "small backpack". Since we are packing for a cold weather 10 day trip (thicker apparel), it would be very helpful if I could know the max dimensions for the "small backpack". I do not want to leave anything in storage in Reykjavik. Could you please give more details on the max size of the backpack? Also, will each hotel have a blow dryer? (That would be one less thing to pack in our luggage limitations.) Thank you for clarifying this!

The backpack should fit under the seat or in the upper compartment. However, we do not have the exact dimensions for the small bag. But it should be a regular 20-25 litre backpack. Our colleagues are not measuring the luggage like at the airport.

The transfer to and from the airport on the arrival and departure days. is made with a big coach bus. The 8-day tour around Iceland is made with a minivan, so around a maximum of 20 people for the whole group.

To answer your question, yes, the trip is partially guided. This means that not all portions of the tour are fully guided. You'll have guided excursions during certain parts of the trip, while at other times, you'll be traveling independently. During those independent segments, you'll be provided with all the necessary information, travel details, and accommodation arrangements to help you navigate on your own.

Is the bus bathroom available? How are rest stops managed during the journey?

Most of this tour (8 out of 10 days) will operate with an 18-seater minibus, which does not have a bathroom on board. However, there will be regular bathroom stops along the way, and additional stops can be made upon request whenever possible, provided there is a suitable facility nearby.

How many seats are in the bus? Is there plenty of room between the seats for a larger person? Are the seats rotated every day?

The used vehicle is a minibus, so a maximum of 20 people. There is no system in place to rotate seats during multi-day tours. Seating is based on pickup order, where you get on the bus determines your seat for the trip. The 10 day tour was all encompassing with very enthusiastic guides. Would recommend shortening the day to skip the last site on the next to last day on the peninsula. Dinner at 8pm is too late when starting at 8 am. Could also consider dropping the smaller waterfalls. Hotels should consider supplying lotion & hair conditioner - not easy to pack these items which are available in other countries. Sending an email about the itinerary more than once would be helpful for those of us who get hundreds of emails a day. Please also make it clear that transportation to & from the airport is public transportation not a taxi or guide. This is often the case with many tours. Thank you!Show more

  It is comprised of 1 day of arrival where the clients need to go to the arrivals terminal and hop on the bus to get them to Reykjavik.
  
  From the second day onwards they will be for 8 days in a minibus shared group tour, with a guide.
  
  And on the last day, the clients will have to go to the closest bus stop, wait for the scheduled bus that will get them to the airport.
  
  For the transfer to and from the airport it will be a coach bus that they will have to embark on. And for the 8-day tour, they will be on a minibus. The clients will not be driving, as this is a shared tour.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
