    April

    Asked on February 5th, 2026

I am confused with your accommodation. The bottom line is whether or not I will have private bathrooms or en-suite bathroom throughout my 10 days trip

    Accommodation
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

Yes, the accommodation included in our tours is 3-star, with private bathrooms and breakfast included. Please make sure to review the full itinerary and tour inclusions for a complete understanding of what is provided.

  • B

    Ben

    Asked on January 16th, 2026

I have read the luggage description of 24" plus a carry on. One instruction for the carry on piece is a "small backpack". Since we are packing for a cold weather 10 day trip (thicker apparel), it would be very helpful if I could know the max dimensions for the "small backpack". I do not want to leave anything in storage in Reykjavik. Could you please give more details on the max size of the backpack? Also, will each hotel have a blow dryer? (That would be one less thing to pack in our luggage limitations.) Thank you for clarifying this!

    Tour Details
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

The backpack should fit under the seat or in the upper compartment. However, we do not have the exact dimensions for the small bag. But it should be a regular 20-25 litre backpack.

Our colleagues are not measuring the luggage like at the airport.

    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Also, yes, you will have hair dryers in the rooms.

In case there isn't one in the room you can just ask at the reception and they'll be providing one!

    Dana

    Asked on December 15th, 2025

How many people will be there in this group? What kind of vehicle is used? Minivan? Bus?

    Group size
    Transport
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

The transfer to and from the airport on the arrival and departure days. is made with a big coach bus. The 8-day tour around Iceland is made with a minivan, so around a maximum of 20 people for the whole group.

  • A

    Adrian

    Asked on December 8th, 2025

What do you mean by "partially guided" for this tour?

    Tour Details
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

To answer your question, yes, the trip is partially guided. This means that not all portions of the tour are fully guided. You'll have guided excursions during certain parts of the trip, while at other times, you'll be traveling independently. During those independent segments, you'll be provided with all the necessary information, travel details, and accommodation arrangements to help you navigate on your own.

    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

It is partially guided because, for example, on the arrival day, you will have to go outside the arrival terminal on your own, spot the bus, and embark on your own for the transfer to Reykjavik. The same applies to the departure day.

  • S

    Sophie

    Asked on November 16th, 2025

Is the bus bathroom available? How are rest stops managed during the journey?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

Most of this tour (8 out of 10 days) will operate with an 18-seater minibus, which does not have a bathroom on board. However, there will be regular bathroom stops along the way, and additional stops can be made upon request whenever possible, provided there is a suitable facility nearby.

  • J

    Jack

    Asked on November 9th, 2025

How many seats are in the bus? Is there plenty of room between the seats for a larger person? Are the seats rotated every day?

    Transport
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

The used vehicle is a minibus, so a maximum of 20 people. There is no system in place to rotate seats during multi-day tours. Seating is based on pickup order, where you get on the bus determines your seat for the trip. Also please note that for this tour there is a the luggage allowance: 1 luggage of 24 inch/person + 1 carry on/person

  • L

    Laura

    Asked on August 28th, 2025

How many people are other the tour? What is the average distance travelled per day? We would plan on extending at the end and moving to another hotel in an attempt to see the Lights? I know there are no assurances but is the beginning of October to early for viewing the Lights?

    Group size
    Tour Details
    Travel Support
    • Marina TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

For the journey around Iceland, there will be a maximum of 18 travelers in a shared minibus. The daily driving distances typically range between 100 km and 300 km, depending on the day's route and any detours. At the end of the tour, we can also arrange post-tour accommodation if requested. Regarding the Northern Lights, late September to early October is generally a favorable period for sightings, provided the weather and aurora forecasts are favorable.
