This tour will include breakfast on six days of the tour. The hotels we intend to use are First Class or better. You will be staying in a hotel in San Jose, Arenal and Monteverde.

Where would I find the optional excursion and prices? Do I find my own flight? If I book for two and my friend can't make it; can my monies be applied to my total? Do I find my own way to and from the hotel?

Optional Excursions are not confirmed and not available until 60-90 days prior to departure. Once confirmed, you will receive an email advising how to review and purchase the excursions. We can arrange arrival and departure transfers at the rate of $48 USD per person per transfer. We do not arrange arrival and departure flights. You will be responsible for your flights.

Transport airport-hotel how much-will I be met at airport? I am a single-how much extra?

We currently have this tour on request. I will have to submit a request to our Operations Department to confirm we are able to add you to this tour. We can not guarantee the space availability.

Are there often other solo travelers on these trips?

Yes, our trips generally include several solo travelers.

How much does it cost for solo travelers?

Solo travelers typically pay a single room rate, which can be bundled with airfare and other services for a total package rate.

Is horseriding included in the trip?

Horseback riding to La Fortuna Waterfall is available as an optional excursion and can be booked closer to your departure date.

What is the typical age range of the travelers?

The typical age range is about 40-70, though younger guests are occasionally present.

What steps should be followed after booking the tour?

Once booked, you will receive a travel packet with all necessary details, and we require completion of our Guest Acknowledgement process.

Can we request additional nights at the destination?

Yes, additional nights can be added to your itinerary at a specified cost per person.

I have a crippling fear of snakes. Will this be an issue? How long will we be in the bus each day? Is the bus airconditioned/comfortable? Will we be able to hold sloths? Will we see beaches?

As with any of our tours, there is a possibility of seeing snakes. I do not think you will have an issue as long as you don't see them. Your time on the motor coach will vary. In the event you will have an extended amount of time, you will have stops to be able to stretch your feet and get snacks. The motor coach does have air conditioning and a restroom. You will take a Naturalist guided walking tour of Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve home to forest fauna such as sloths, jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, coatis, and numerous species of birds. If time permits, you may be able to hold the sloths.

We had a fantastic week. We found the itinerary very basic with how long you get in each place and how much free time on offer. In the free time we enjoyed a variety of activities which we would highly reccomend! In Monteverde we booked the children’s rainforest night tour through Globus which we really enjoyed. The next evening we booked a different night tour in fiscus trails which we found even better. We also did the zip lining which was fun. In Arenal we highly reccomend the sloth walking trail, which we did in our free time, we saw 5 sloths in total which was amazing and we loved the guided tour to see them. We also did the horse riding to the waterfalls through Globus which was brilliant! It was our first time riding a horse and the route we took was beautiful, swimming in the waterfall topped it all off. The activities included in the itinerary were also good but one of the days is miss leading as you are in fact just travelling to the next destination before having free time. Our guide Jorge was brilliant and talked to us most of the journeys duration giving great knowledge about Costa Rica. Our driver Franscisco was also fantastic and was brilliant at keeping everyone comfortable. I would highly reccomend this tour but make sure you use all free time wisely and book extra activities to enjoy!Show more

Costa Rica is a magnificently beautiful country. A wonderful place to visit. We traveled on a beautiful new bus complete with WiFi. Jorge, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and helpful as was Roberto, our bus driver. I felt I was in very capable hands throughout the trip. The hotels were very nice and served excellent breakfasts. Optional excursions were excellent. I especially like the hot springs and dinner excursion and the rafting river excursion.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 25th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 25th, 2026, a minimum payment of $250 is required to confirm your booking with Globus. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
