Gracie is an excellent guide, even better person. She's so full of energy. CEO holds the power to either make the trip fun or not. This was my first solo breakfast, and Gracie was god sent. She's an angel, bubbly, and always ready to help.

Spent four wonderful days at Tierra del Volcan. Braved the wind and rain for a bike ride to El Tambo. Condors, ibis, caracara, peregrine falcons, and smiles all around. Jorge and Maria are wonderful hosts and their love of the chagra culture and the Ecuadorian culture were inspiring. Thanks so much, And Empanadas!
- by ShawnWe had an amazing time on our horseback ride. The kids loved the chance to ride fast, the views were beautiful, and the before and after drinks were great. Thanks for a memory we will always remember

Overall I enjoyed the trip and there were very few unpleasant surprises. Some suggested improvements. 1) The tour leader introduced herself as a "guide" which led to expectations on my part that she would be able to provide information on the locations beyond which we could get something to eat. She was excellent as a logistical leader but disinterested in most of the places we visited. 2) Transportation was adequate in most cases but there were instances where in was difficult to accommodate all the passengers with luggage inside as occasionally happened. Sitting on a fold out seat for a long period of time is not acceptable, in my view. 3) The tour included the use of local buses and for one journey the group was requested to decide whether it would prefer to take a privately contracted bus (paying extra) rather than the potentially slower or less comfortable local buses. We were told the decision had to be unanimous. The majority preferred the private bus and ultimately it was a vote to determine the mode of transportation. This created some disharmony in the group that should have been avoided. 4) We often had limited choice on meals including eating breakfast in a petrol station with some microwaved food. I was not expecting gourmet but the options in some fast stops were no very good. 5) We were advised that the tour championed ecotourism. Few participants brought their own water bottles as suggested and we generated an enormous amount of rubbish on a daily basis partly because we stopped in many convenience stores and gas stations. No water was available on the bus which I understand would have been problematic since we changes buses for almost each leg but some way to improve this should be explored. 6) In one hotel (Antigua) I was accommodated in a room that had no window. In my view it was a storage room not a hotel room. I started the trip disappointed... Sadly I have no gotten around this until now and there may be other comments that would be useful but can't remember them now.
- by Philip CompteGuide got sick for 6 day trip on day 1 and then spent several days around us no masks no testing but sleeping in our tour van and we weren’t sure if we would get sick from him. The six day tour only had 2 half days of actual content, and they purposefully booked 2 hour flights with a stop over so it’s 2 hours each way to waste time during the 6 days to match check in times at the hotel instead of making the time more efficient and giving us time in the cities. Guide didn’t help us arrange anything and basically we paid $3000 for six nights at motel-level stays that were dirty and with non working bathroom fixtures and mold on the air conditioning but the tour was marked as a premium tour with 4 star accommodations. We literally got for $3000 transportation and s***** lodging and a few tickets here and there. It was extremely poor value and we didn’t get time in cities because it was extremely inefficient. Do not use this company because they also don’t respond and don’t care once they take your money. They claim to make arrangements but mostly keep information from you so you have no idea what you’re doing day to day. Every day was 6/7am start times but we only did one thing because of inefficient planning or travel. Pretty much the worst tour you can take in South America. I came home early because I ended up getting sick from this tour, and I tested positive for Covid which means the guide actually had covid but failed to test himself or inform us, and failed to quarantine! This is totally unacceptable.

It was a beautiful/amazing experience from beginning to end. Agatha, our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive to all of our needs. Would definitely recommend this tour.
- by Marivi MercadoFull belly, happy heart. Thanks Agatha, you've been a star! I've loved you being fearless leader for the last 10 days. Thanks for getting us all where we needed to be, answering our silly questions and showing us all the best eating! Had a great trip and so blessed with the group that I ended up with. The excursions were great, especially the sunrise paddleboardong. Some of the accommodation could be improved, but it was an amazing trip regardless.

Wonderful and challenging tour. Excellent guide, fantastic food and service. An amazing way to reach Machu Picchu!
Our guide was very attentive to my slow, careful moving over the big boulders going to Las Torres del Paine and the ferocious winds leaving the hike to Grey Glacier! The whole “atmosphere” of meeting people from other countries at the Refugio’s was fun. The scenery in Patagonia is spectacular. Only 15% of the 250,000 tourists who visit the park see pumas. We were very fortunate to see four pumas!!

I loved this tour (Argentina & Brazil). My contacts at Wanderful were in touch with me every step of the way. Since I was traveling alone, this gave me great peace of mind. The excursions were awesome. Hotels were great. I highly recommend!
- by Megan MelsonHotels were not the best and lots of days where you had to plan your own itinerary which means more expenses. Airport transport was good.

The tour is very well planned. The hotels picked were excellent and the service was great from everyone we dealt with. Noteworthy items: Costa Rican drivers are very polite and somewhat slow drivers. Driving is very easy throughout the country. We loved driving ourselves and having the freedom to go where we wanted. In tortugero the rooms don’t have AC and you can hear your neighbors. The resort is beautiful and we are glad we went, but I wish we brought electric fans. We asked to be moved to a room with no one next to us.
- by Daniel LynchWhat a wonderful trip!!! Costa Rica is a lovely country with spectacular landscape, an abundance of animals and friendly people. I was so impressed with Tour Radar and Destination Services. From the moment I signed up for the trip, any time I called with a question or concern I talked to a real person who was able to answer all my questions. If I sent an email, I got a reply within 24 hours. Every facet of the trip went according to plans without any unforeseen incidents. Transportation from each location was always on time (down to the minute!!), hotels were extraordinarily nice, the food was delicious and aplenty, included excursions were varied and fun and there was leisure time to explore on your own. I highly recommend taking a trip with this tour group. I will definitely book another tour with them in the future. Thank you to everyone involved for making this a memorable adventure with my 2 grandchildren!!!

Justin and Franklin were incredible tour guides so much passion and dedication and love towards their country. Some early morning but def worth it ! highly recommend
- by GinnelyGreat trip!! The guides were amazing. Peruvian people are such hard workers. They were all very respectful, knowledgeable and fun. Peru was much safer than my expectations. Machu Picchu is a must see for everyone. City in the clouds did not disappoint. I was surprised by the hiking in the mountains. I could not have finished without our guides. I will definitely be back to Peru. The days were long but rewarding. The altitude was a change so I would keep that in mind for choosing your holiday. We were the only English speakers in our group and they gave us English guides to cater to our needs. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Enjoy the trip very mych
- by Hee Kwang TanThis was an amazing adventure. Let me say first off that I am glad the first day is basically a free day to help acclimate you to the altitude. By the end of the night, my head was pounding but the next morning I felt a whole lot better. The second day was pretty easy but we saw a few good sights. We learned about how the natives dye the wool and alpaca with natural substances and how they twirl it into yard to make anything and everything. We saw the salt mines in Maras but due to heavy rain and even snow a few days earlier the salt was more muddy than salty but still a cool sight to see. Chinchero was amazing as well to see just how they lived way back then and to experience walking through on the steps that had been built centuries ago. In Moray, they had these step like plateaus dug deep into the earth in circles in which they grew and perfected the growing conditions for crops. It was real interesting to see these even today. Day 3 was by far the best day of the trip. You take a bus up to about 14300 feet and ride or coast down the mountain on a mountain bike. The views are amazing. You are literally in the clouds and passing by streams of water all while being passed by passenger buses. After that is lunch and off to river rafting. Be prepared to get wet but it is a blast. Day 4 was an ass kicker for me. I'm 49 and in decent shape but hiking all day on the mountain trails was challenging to say the least but I'm glad I did it. We took several breaks and stops along the way so that was awesome. Day 5 We wake up and take a bus to the zipline and suspension bridge. It was also a blast but if you are scared of heights you might not be able to stomach it. The ziplines are very high and very long. The suspension bridge steps are at least 3 feet apart and towards the end they get even wider apart. You are always hooked so no real safety issue unless you don't trust the equipment. After ziplining we hiked for 3 or 4 hours to Aquas Calientes where we stayed the night in order to get up early for Machu Picchu in the morning. Day 6 It was a rough morning for myself as I found the happy hour in Aquas Calientes to be very fun and interesting with some of my tour mates. 6 AM breakfast and 6:30 on the bus to Machu Picchu. This site is breath taking and unbelievable to experience in person. Pictures do not do it justice. It was couple hours up there with our guide and then we took the bus, or you could hike back to Aquas Calientes. I think I was back by about 10:30 AM and just walked around the town and ate some brunch. They train departed at 4 pm to Ollyantaytambo and was a two hour winding ride. Our van driver picked us up and took us back to Cusco, another two hour drive. It was a very long day for two and a half hours of seeing Machu Picchu, very long. Day 7 Final day is a free day and your ride to the airport. I enjoyed walking around the town until it was time to go. One important thing you should know is that once you start Day 3 with the mountain biking, you must only carry a backpack with everything you need. I don't think they mention this in the tour info. No luggage will be taken. I highly suggest a good size backpacking backpack and only bring what you need. I had only a hiking camelback with some storage. I survived but it was very interesting. Bring a good size back pack! I cannot stress that enough.

My Ecuador trip with TourRadar and specifically Adventure Journeys exceeded my expectations in all respects! Alfonso Freire, my tour guide, was absolutely the best! He was super knowledgeable about everywhere we went (Ecuador guides have tour university degrees). He identified the different indigenous groups we encountered and what makes each unique (in fact, he is a member of a professional dance group that performs native South American dances). Alfonso's total attention was on making my trip special --- plus he was patient with me during our hikes in high altitudes even though he never even got winded (he's qualified for all types of sport activities and guide certifications). This trip's itinerary provides a great cross-section of Ecuador including a visit to an Otavalo indigenous village, a few days in the Amazon rain forest with a Kichwa community tour (learned how they make chocolate), climbed an incredible waterfall, visited the famous 'Swing of the End of the World' in Banos, hiked near the Chimborazo volcano, visited Inca ruins, and ended with a tour of Cuenca, a colonial city, etc. Hotels were all clean and satisfactory with the Hacienda La Andaluza being a highlight (it's like an art museum - outstanding). This was my first trip to South America and the people are so warm and gracious - everyone goes the extra mile to provide superior service. I also found the tour registration process very efficient. And when I had questions, I always received a written response from AJ by the next day. Finally, this is a longer review than my norm, but I can't emphasize enough how pleased I was with my Adventure Journeys trip which was coordinated through TourRadar. It checked all the boxes in every way!! My strong recommendation - sign up!! Tx L
