Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that parts of the tour did not meet your expectations. Regarding the ice cave experience, we would like to clarify that the Katla Ice Cave is typically visited from May to September, while the Crystal Ice Cave is operated from October to April due to seasonal and safety conditions. Ice caves are natural formations and locations can vary depending on weather and glacier stability. Concerning the refund mentioned, please contact us directly at info@bustravel.is with your booking reference and previous correspondence so we can urgently review your case and ensure it is properly resolved. We also appreciate your comments about the itinerary structure and pacing. Our aim is to maximize what guests can experience within the available time and daylight hours, but we understand that it may feel full at times. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts — your feedback helps us improve. Kind regards, BusTravel Iceland

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. First of all, we truly appreciate that you rated the guide, accommodation, and transportation 5 stars — that means a great deal to us. We’re very glad those aspects of your trip met your expectations. We are, however, very sorry to hear about the confusion and disappointment regarding the ice cave optional excursion. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to expect a specific experience and feel that it did not match what was advertised. That is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. Regarding a refund, please contact us directly at info@bustravel.is with your booking details and any previous correspondence. Our team will urgently review your case and ensure this is properly followed up and resolved as soon as possible. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us. Kind regards, BusTravel Iceland

Thank you for taking the time to share such a balanced and thoughtful review. We’re glad to hear that Iceland’s beauty, the small-group Ring Road tour, and Omar’s guiding made a strong positive impression, but we’re also truly sorry for the aspects that fell short. We appreciate your feedback regarding the first-day tour being overly full and will review capacity management with our operations team. Regarding optional activities: when guests choose not to participate, there is still the opportunity to explore the towns where these activities take place — such as Vík, Akureyri, and Egilsstaðir — all of which offer plenty of charming streets, viewpoints, cafés, shops, and local sights to enjoy. We will work to communicate this more clearly so guests know what to expect and can make the most of their time. We’re also sorry to hear about your ankle injury — the terrain can indeed be uneven and slippery, and we'll continue emphasizing this in pre-departure information. As for pricing questions and communication from TourRadar, we recommend following up with them directly, as they manage booking and pricing on their platform. Thank you again for your constructive feedback — it helps us improve. We hope the beautiful memories outweigh the challenges and that Iceland will welcome you back someday. • F

    Asked on February 2nd, 2026

I was wondering if this tour includes the Blue Lagoon or another similar lagoon. If not, would we be able to detour/ have free time to do on our time?

    Tour Details
    • BusTravel IcelandOperatorWritten February 2026

This tour does not include Blue Lagoon and I'm afraid it's possible to add it on the itinerary.

We highly recommend arriving and departing one or two days before/after the tour. In those free days in Reykjavík you can consider going to the Blue Lagoon.

      TravelerWritten January 2026

My timing is flexible and would look to the highest likelihood month, understand that there is no guarantee of 100% encounter. My primary goal is Northern lights view w Secondary goal of Iceland tour. I do prefer a small group.

    • BusTravel IcelandOperatorWritten January 2026

The Northern Lights season is between the end of August and mid-April. From the end of April until the end of August, the days will be longer, and with the sunlight, it is not possible to see the Northern Lights.

Usually, the better months to see them are October, November, and March, but January or February can also be very good months; it will depend on your luck.

The multi-day tours as the Iceland Ring Road, are not so focus in the Northern Lights, but if the guide sees a good chance to see them, you will see them.

    • BusTravel IcelandOperatorWritten January 2026

Yes, we can add a note in the booking that you want twin beds. The usually time is 08:00. It can be 09:00 but that will be confirmed later on and, during the tour, the guide will also inform everyone at what time they need to be ready to start the day.

The ice cave tour is not equivalent to a glacier hike. Even tho you need to walk on the glacier, you are not really hiking for hours.

We do not have Northern Lights planned for the tour. As you will spend some nights outside of Reykjavík, you might have the chance to see the lights from your hotel room!

What about the hotel and which, where we are going to stay overnight, can you list the name of the hotel alongwith pictures. Is there any discount for senior citizen as we both are 70plus in age. On which date and time the tour will end so I can book my flight ticket accordingly.

    Accommodation
    Age Range
    Flights / Transfers
    • BusTravel IcelandOperatorWritten January 2026

The list of hotels will just be provided after the booking confirmation, but we offer accommodation in 3* or 4* hotels, with breakfast included, and a room with a private bathroom. Your multi-day tour is supposed to end with the Snæfellsnes Peninsula tour, and usually this tour ends around 07:00 or 08:00 PM, so we advise booking your return flight ticket for the day after your multi-day tour ends.

Can you give me a price for arrival a day early and departure a day later than the base plan on the website? Also including airport pickup to first hotel and departure dropoff from final night hotel?
