Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found the itinerary comprehensive, covering so many of Iceland’s incredible natural attractions. It’s fantastic to hear that both Dooley and HBO made such a positive impression, and especially that HBO’s knowledge of Icelandic history added to your experience. We’re also impressed that, despite the long days and extensive travel, you enjoyed the journey even in your 80s! Thank you for your strong recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future. Kind regards, BusTravel Iceland

Thank you, Gayle, for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed the Ring Road tour, the hotels and breakfasts, and especially that HBO made your six days such a positive experience. We will be sure to pass your kind words on to him. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with the group size. Our tours are advertised with a maximum of 18 guests, and unfortunately, due to an overbooking on this departure, the group exceeded that limit. This should not have happened, and we understand how having 19 guests affected your comfort, particularly during the longer driving days. We appreciate that you and the other passengers rotated seats to make the journey more comfortable for everyone. Regarding the activity level, our tour is rated Low Intensity, meaning that travelers can expect some light physical activity. We understand, however, that what feels easy or moderate can vary from person to person. The amount of driving and the length of some days, particularly Snæfellsnes, can certainly make the overall experience feel more demanding than the activity rating alone suggests. Your feedback is helpful, and we will review how we communicate both the activity level and the longer driving days in our tour information. We are also sorry about the confusion with your name and that this occurred more than once during your booking experience. That is certainly something we should have got right. Finally, we appreciate your comments regarding the guiding on Snæfellsnes. Our guides should provide engaging and informative commentary about the places our guests are visiting, and we will take your feedback on board. Thank you again for your honest feedback. While we are sorry that some aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations, we are delighted that you enjoyed the overall Ring Road experience and the time spent with your fellow travelers. We hope the wonderful memories of Iceland will ultimately outweigh the less comfortable moments. Best regards, BusTravel Iceland

    Asked on August 4th, 2026

can I please confirm the accomodation choice on the final night in Reykjavik? On the itinerary there seems to be 2 hotels, and for planning after the tour I just need to know which hotel we will be staying at.

    Accommodation
    • BusTravel IcelandOperatorWritten August 2026

The hotel in Reykjavik is not pre-booked, as it depends on the availability when the booking is confirmed.
Usually we offer Hotel Cabin, Norðurey City Garden Hotel, Alva Hotel, Hotel Klettur, Hotel Muli.
