- SBSusan· September 13th, 2025Review of Arctic Adventures Tour with Tour Guide, Omar: This was a very disappointing experience, and Arctic Adventures owes us a refund. Omar was by far the worst tour guide we’ve ever had. He offered almost no commentary about Iceland, stayed silent during drives, and left us to ask him about meeting times and return instructions. He rarely accompanied us at the sites—just waited on the bus. Basic courtesies were lacking: there were no introductions, no goodbyes, and no guidance. By day two, his attitude turned dismissive, sometimes even sarcastic. He rarely ate with us as well. When he did speak, it was unhelpful. For example, he dodged simple questions, made “clever” jokes instead of giving answers, and dismissed concerns about the weather. Yet when seated with another couple not part of our tour at dinner one evening, he suddenly became animated, sharing detailed stories of Iceland—the kind of insight our group had been denied the entire trip. It was both frustrating and disappointing. And when he did talk, it was hard to follow what he was saying, On top of that, the bus was a disaster: 292,000 kilometers, mechanical failures, and constant computer restarts to shift gears or reverse. These issues persisted for two days before a replacement was provided, which limited the vehicle's speed and caused us to waste time and backtrack to obtain another vehicle. This vehicle should have been replaced on day one! The new van was a downgrade—no Wi-Fi, no microphones, fewer seats, no handrails—and even forced one passenger into the front seat with Omar. To make matters worse, Omar’s driving was reckless, often overtaking multiple vehicles at once, putting passengers at risk. Those seated up front confirmed he took unnecessary risks, as they witnessed his actions. Combined with the poor guiding and faulty vehicle, this tour was unsafe, unprofessional, and not worth the cost. On top of that, as Omar was driving so fast with the replacement vehicle, he managed to get a huge nail stuck in one of the tires. We had to wait almost 2 hours at a convenience store nearby while Omar obtained help to replace the vehicle. For future travelers, you need to provide better experienced guides who tell you more specifics about the history of Iceland and what we are seeing. This tour was unsafe, unprofessional, and far below the standard Arctic Adventures promises. We deserve and demand a refund—not only for the lost learning experience but also for the wasted time and unacceptable safety risks. Anything less would be taking advantage of customers who put their trust—and safety—in your company.Show more

Manon· September 7th, 2025This tour will be forever etched into our memory. It was the best way to drive around Iceland, learn about Iceland and see everything we wanted to see without stressing and wondering where we were.Show moreTrip date: August 2025- DFDavid· August 9th, 2025The tour was in two sections (although not sold as that) - 6 days around Iceland with tour guide Adolf and the seventh day is a separate tour with a different guide (and people) to the Snaefelssnes peninsula. The six days was exceptional - a local guide with a tremendous passion for Iceland, its nature and its history. The seventh day was a LONG drive with four very good stops and beautiful scenery, but it’s a long time between toilet stops and lunch quite late (so take snacks and drinks).Show moreTrip date: July 2025

Chris· July 28th, 2025The guide tried hard to include as many attractions as possible, which was much appreciated. The itinerary was quite good. The whale watching was a little disappointing, but the glacier walk was excellent. Would prefer a bit more wildlife at the expense of a church or too.Show moreTrip date: July 2025

Asked on December 28th, 2025I'd like to take a trip to Iceland, but I'm looking for tours that don't include glacier treks, or at least offer them as an option. I'd like to hike along trails near waterfalls, take photos of the waterfalls, and photograph nature. I'd also like programs that include geysers, whale or bird watching, or coastal and glacier scenery. I've looked at the tour programs but haven't been able to decide. Could you help me?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025Based on the information you've shared, we can suggest the 3 Day – Iceland's Highlands and Volcano Adventure. During this tour, you'll visit the Vestmannaeyjar Islands, where you may see Atlantic puffins, explore several magnificent waterfalls, and experience areas slightly off the beaten track. Please note that this tour does not include geysers or whale watching. Another great option is our bestseller, the 6 Day – Around Iceland Adventure. This tour covers Iceland's main highlights, from the famous Golden Circle geysers to scenic locations such as the Wilderness Center and Stuðlagil Canyon, offering excellent photography opportunities. While the itinerary includes a glacier hike, participation is optional, and you may skip this activity if you prefer.

Traveler•Written December 2025explain what the differences are with the 7 and 8 day trips
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025multi-day tours attract customers of all ages - from youngest to eldest. The price of the tour starts from 2309 Eur per person. We only have one optional extra - admission at the Myvatn Nature Baths. The price for this activity is 7400 ISK per person.
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025The difference between the 7-day Complete Iceland and 8-day Iceland Ring Road tour is, that the 7-day tour includes Snaefellsnes Peninsula tour on the last day of the adventure. The 8-day tour, includes the same activities as on the 7-day tour, on the first 6-days of the adventure, but the first and last days of the tour are activity-free days on which our customers can explore Reykjavik on their own or book additional activities.

Asked on December 19th, 2025What does "shared room" mean. Would we be sharing the room with other guests? If that is the case, are there options for we to get our own room, and how much would the price different be?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025We only provide private single, twin, triple and double rooms to our customers. We believe that having their own room adds at least a little bit more comfort. The only case in which a customer could be sharing the room with another traveler of the same gender is if he/she is traveling alone and has not added a single room fee to their booking (14 000 ISK per day), then we would accommodate them with another traveler.

Asked on December 11th, 2025Is it possible to get a private room and if so, how much will it be? Is it possible to add Katla Ice Cave tour in the trip?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025Yes, it is possible for solo travelers to stay in a private single room throughout the tour. For the 7-day package the single room fee is 84000 ISK (or the equivalent amount in your currency). If a solo traveler doesn't add the fee to their booking, they may be roomed together with another person of the same gender in a twin room, which would still have the private bathroom. Unfortunately, the regular group tours are not customisable, so it is not possible to add any additional activities on top of the fixed itinerary.

Asked on December 9th, 2025I have a party of four ladies interested in visiting Iceland from January 6th to 14th, 2026. They are hoping to see the Northern Lights and visit the Blue Lagoon. I kindly request a quote for a private tour based on 4 passengers, including transfers and hotel accommodations.
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025Unfortunately, we do not offer private tours through TourRadar nor do we reserve any additional hotel nights on top of those included in the package. Those tours are not customisable, so a visit to the Blue Lagoon or a dedicated Northern Lights hunt cannot be added. Moreover, those tours may include up to 18 people in the group.

Asked on December 8th, 2025I like this tour and would like to discuss. I'm also wondering if we can ADD Greeland to the tour.
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025Unfortunately, none of our regular group tours are customisable to that extent. Moreover, Arctic Adventures does not offer any tours outside of Iceland, so you would need to reach out to other tour companies to find tours in Greenland.

Asked on November 15th, 2025I am interested in booking this tour for my family in the Summer of 2026. We have one son aged 12 and a daughter who will be 7 and a half at the time of the tour. Noting that you recommend this as being for children aged 8+, do you think such a tour will be possible for her?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written November 2025Regarding age limits for our tours, safety of our customers is our priority, and unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions when it comes to age of the participants. However, the minimum age required for the 7 Day Complete Iceland is 6 years old, so both of your kids should be able to participate. I confirm availability for summer for 2026.

Asked on November 3rd, 20251. Northern Lights (weather dependent) is there a preference? 2. Avg. number of travelers during that time period. 3. Minimum and maximum on the minibus 4. What is the cost of the single supplement. 5. Avg. hours driving and will it be too dark to sight-see
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written November 2025A separate outing for the Northern Lights is not included in the tour, however if there is a chance to witness them in the evening, our guides tend to inform their groups and the customers can look for them right from the hotel in which they will be staying for the night. The average number of travelers in Iceland during mid-January to February is approximately 280,000 to 300,000 total visitors for the two-month period. We can have up to 18 participants on the minibus. The minimum number of participants required for the tour to be operated is 4. The single room supplement fee is 14000 ISK per night. As you are interested in our 7 day adventure, the fee would be 84000 ISK. Our tours are designed by taking into consideration of daylight hours. That way, we are able to visit all of the locations before it gets dark. Of course, the drive from and to the hotel most likely be operated in the dark. Usually, the groups will be traveling around 8-9 hours per day. We tend to spend 20-50 minutes at each location which is enough to explore each area, take some photos and enjoy the sightings.

Asked on September 17th, 2025We would like to know if you have Optional Activities and if yes, costs. Also, we are from the Cayman Islands - what would you recommend clothing wise for the tour? Do you do rentals for specific gear or boots/coats?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025On our 7-day Complete Iceland tour, we do have an optional activity - admission at the Myvatn Nature Baths. The price for this activity is 7400 ISK per person. It is possible to rent the hiking boots, waterproof jacket and pants for the duration of your tour, The price per each pair of rental equipment is 4500 ISK.

Traveler•Written September 2025I would love to do an ice cave tour, a glacier hike, whale watching, and of course, chasing the Northern Lights! Are these doable in the 7 day tour? Or is the 6 day tour just as impactful?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025The 7-day tour from October onward includes both an ice cave visit and whale watching. The glacier hike is no longer part of the itinerary during the winter season. Northern Lights hunts are not included in the 7-day tour. If seeing the Northern Lights is a priority, you'd want to consider an 8-day tour, as it includes 2 northern light tours.

Traveler•Written September 2025Due to having horrid dust allergies, esp to carpet & fur, would this be an issue on this tour?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025There should be no issues with accommodations, most our hotels do not have any fur or carpets in the rooms.

Oliver
Traveler•Written September 2025Do the hotels have wooden floors with heating? And are all equipped with a blow dryer or do you recommend bringing one?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025The accommodation we offer during the tour are 3 stars hotels - standard comfortable rooms with made beds and provided towels. There are no heated floors in the rooms - but hairdryers are certainly there! If you cannot see a hair dryer in your room, then you just need to ask at the reception desk.

Traveler•Written September 2025I've read recent reviews that stated that the Myvatn geothermal pools were in poor conditions compared to Vok or Forest Lagoon. Will the tour take us to the Forest Lagoon instead?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written September 2025Yes, the Myvatn Nature Baths are going to be closed for renovation soon, and customers booked on the 7-day tour in January will go to Forest Lagoon instead.

Traveler•Written October 2025Do your 6 day Around Iceland Adventure and the 7 day Complete Iceland tour both include a Wilderness Center stay?
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025Yes, both 6 day and 7 day tours usually include a night at the Wilderness Center in the itinerary, although occasionally some of the groups stay in nearby Egilsstaðir. However, all groups go to the center for sightseeing.

Traveler•Written October 2025I wanted to confirm that the Myvatn baths are included? It was in the tour agenda and stated as part of the 7 day tour. However, on the 6 day tour, it was noted as an add on.
Arctic AdventuresOperator•Written October 2025The Myvatn nature baths is an optional activity as is stated in the 7-day tour's description. You don't have to reserve it ahead of time, since you can pay the admission fee on the spot.
