Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Your guide picks you up early from the hotel and heads to Tribhuvan International Airport. After a 30-minute flight to Lukla, you'll start trekking downhill through Sherpa communities, passing mani stones and the Dudh Koshi River. The walk to Phakding takes around 3 hours on a gradually descending path, so you'll arrive with time to settle in.

- Day 2
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
From Phakding you trek through the Dudh Koshi River valley toward Jorsale, then face a steep climb up to Namche Bazaar. Snow-capped peaks come into view including Thamserku, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Konde and others. The full walk takes 5 to 6 hours, which gets you there by afternoon. You'll have time to walk around Namche Bazaar on your own and grab dinner somewhere in town.

- Day 3
Khumjung Village - Namche Bazaar
After breakfast you trek up to Everest View Hotel through Syangboche, where you'll see Thamserku, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Konde, Kangtega, AmaDablam, Tawoche and other peaks. Then it's downhill to Khumjung Village. Following lunch, explore Khumjung Monastery which holds a yeti scalp, then check out Hillary Hospital in Khunde Village and Hillary School in Khumjung. The whole day from Namche takes about 4 hours, leaving you back for the night.

- Day 4
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Early breakfast gets you going before you head back down toward Lukla along the Dudh Kosi river valley. Since it's mostly downhill and you're acclimatized from the previous days, the trek feels easier. You'll walk through several villages including Chumoa, Benkar, Phakding, and Chuthawa before reaching the Pasang Lhamu Memorial Gate that marks the trek's end. Overnight in a teahouse at lower elevation.

Lukla to Kathmandu
Early morning flight takes you back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Clear skies often mean you'll get good views from the aircraft during the flight, and the mountain airstrip location makes the whole experience memorable. After landing, you'll get dropped off at your hotel in Kathmandu to relax and wrap up your trek.
