    Asked on June 1st, 2026

Can you let me know what airports we would need to fly in and out of for this trip? Also for the meals not listed while out on hikes do we need to carry food with us?

    Flights / Transfers
    Meals
    • TrafalgarOperatorWritten June 2026

For this tour, you'll typically fly into Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) at the start of the trip and out of Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) at the end. Meals are mostly covered (9 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners), but for hikes and activities where meals aren't listed, you won't need to carry full provisions, your Travel Director will advise on convenient stops, and snacks or light food are recommended for personal comfort.

    • M

      Michelle

      TravelerWritten June 2026

On the last day do you drive to the airport? It says arrival will be around 5 pm. There are no flights to Columbus Ohio leaving that evening. Would we need to Take a cab To a hotel in Las Vegas?

    • TrafalgarOperatorWritten June 2026

On the last day, complimentary motorcoach transfer arrives at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at approximately 17:00; book flights after 20:00. We recommend flights need to depart 3 hours after the complimentary group transfer arrival time at the airport. Motorcoach will then continue to the post night hotel in Las Vegas for guests extending their stay.

    • M

      Michelle

      TravelerWritten June 2026

Can you confirm if there are any luggage restrictions for this trip and provide details about gratuities, such as the expected amount? Additionally, they would like to know if it's possible to arrange a transfer to their hotel on the last day of the tour.

    • TrafalgarOperatorWritten June 2026

For luggage, each guest may bring one bag with maximum dimensions of 62 linear inches (158 cm) the combined length, width, and height, and a weight not exceeding 50 lbs (23 kg). In addition, one personal item such as a purse, backpack, or similarly sized item is permitted, provided it fits under the seat or in the coach's overhead compartment. Regarding gratuities, you have two options: Option 1: Add prepaid gratuities to your booking at a cost of $191.00 per person. Option 2: Pay recommended daily gratuities in cash (amounts subject to change): USD $8–10 per person, per day for the Driver, USD $9–11 per person, per day for the Travel Director, USD $1 per person for Local Specialists. If you have purchased post accommodation through us at Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, the motorcoach will continue to the post hotel after dropping off at the airport for other guests.

      Michelle

      TravelerWritten June 2026

The insurance does not list how much in medical coverage is available. I'd there a more comprehensive plan description. It's pretty vague

    • TrafalgarOperatorWritten June 2026

XCover's online summary page does not always show every benefit limit. The full details, including any medical coverage limits, are usually found in your specific policy documents, such as the Policy Wording, Certificate of Insurance, or Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). To find the relevant medical coverage in your policy, we recommend reviewing sections such as: Emergency Medical Expenses, Medical & Hospital Benefits, Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation, Schedule of Benefits. Coverage limits can vary from policy to policy, so it is very important to review your own documents carefully.

Can you tell me the difficulty level of this tour?

No technical climbing skills are required but a reasonable level of fitness is required to make the tour more enjoyable. Where possible, we will host map orientation and let everyone disperse to enjoy trails best suited to them.

Could you please confirm if there will be bathrooms available during the hiking on day 2?

    • TrafalgarOperatorWritten June 2023

We are not sure if there is a bathroom on that specific location on your day 2 tour. We suggest coordinating with your Travel Director before the hiking start or use a bathroom first on your hotel before going on hiking.
