Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Your driver picks you up from your Nairobi hotel between 7:30-8:00 a.m. and heads toward Masai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, you'll pass through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and stop in Narok town before arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After you've settled in and had a chance to rest, there's a game drive from 4-6:30 p.m. to kick things off. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Following breakfast, you'll spend the full day on game drives throughout the reserve, wandering the savannah grassland. The extensive road and track network here makes it easy to get close views and photograph wildlife. Midday brings a picnic lunch at the hippo pool where you can watch hippos and crocodiles. Back at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, another full day of game drives across the savannah grassland awaits. You'll use the same network of roads and tracks for excellent viewing and photography chances. Lunch is a picnic at the hippo pool again, offering more opportunities to spot hippos and crocodiles. Evening takes you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
You depart Masai Mara after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon includes a game drive in the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Start with a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, where you'll see prolific bird-life including flamingos and a white rhino sanctuary. Cape buffalo and waterbuck hang around the shoreline. Then drive toward Amboseli National Park, pulling in late evening in time for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli National Park
You'll spend the full day on game drives in Amboseli National Park exploring the swamplands where elephants and hippos come to bathe. Look for plains game, antelopes, and various bird species throughout the day. Picnic lunches break up the driving, and if the weather cooperates, you might catch views of Mt. Kilimanjaro's peak. Return to the lodge for overnight.

Amboseli National Park to Arusha
Early breakfast at the lodge, then check out and enjoy one more game drive as you head toward the Namanga border for immigration processing. After that, you'll board a scheduled tourist shuttle bus to Arusha where a guide meets you and transfers you to your hotel. Lunch and dinner are on your own.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you drive to Tarangire National Park and arrive in time for lunch. The afternoon brings game viewing in the park, which is known for its many baobab trees and tree-climbing lions. You might spot lesser kudu, eland, lion, and gerenuk. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

Tarangire - Olduvai Gorge - Serengeti National Park
The drive to Serengeti National Park takes you through Olduvai Gorge, where Louis and Mary Leakey made their famous archaeological discoveries. There's an option to visit the museum at extra cost if you're interested in early human remains. Lunch is at camp, and then you head out for an afternoon game drive across the endless plains where you might see great herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and lions. Dinner and overnight at camp.
