i want to book this trip but i am in my early 40s. what if i book this trip and just state i am in my 30s on the form to get around it? i dont want my age from stopping me going to this as i am fit and able enough to cope with it

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten October 2025

Unfortunately, the tour you are looking at is a tour specifically designed for our 18 - 39 year old travellers. As you don't fit within that age bracket we won't be able to book you on this trip. The tour leaders will check passports at the start of the tour and anyone who has given false details will be removed from the trip and no refund will be offered, so I would not suggest that you do that.

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten October 2025

At G Adventures, we strongly believe in putting the right travellers on the right trip - based on what they are looking to achieve. This ensures the best experience possible. Maintaining expectations of travellers on these tours as well as travellers who wish to go on these tours is our part of our commitment to high customer service. We want to keep the dynamic of travellers having the same mindset, feel and experience for this style of travel. Our other travel styles, such as Classic, Active, National Geographic Journeys, etc., do not have any age restrictions.

i have travelled with young adults before in group tours a few times, being the eldest and it has never been a problem, this interpersonal experience will still be delivered. it will not be a problem. please allow an exception for me.

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten September 2025

We apologize for any inconvenience however we are unable to make any exceptions in this matter. It is not our intention to exclude people, it is simply to ensure we have a specific product which targets that specific age group.

At G Adventures we pride ourselves finding the right trip for the right person - categorizing our tours into travel styles therefore, is just one way in which we can do this. In particular, for our '18-30 Somethings' tours, G Adventures is trying to cultivate a particular demographic. The majority of our '18-30 Somethings' trips are multi share or very basic accommodation such as camping or hostels. The itineraries are fast paced, have less included activities and instead focus more on socializing aspect of travel. Additionally, in order to deliver the experience we advertise, G Adventures must enforce this age limit in fairness to other travellers in the group who may have specifically chosen this travel style, based on its age demographic. It is important to note that the '18-30 Somethings' Travel Style does not reflect a specific activity level, G Adventures by no means are implying an adult over the age of 39 would not physically be able to complete the trip.

Well, what do we "old people" do who want this experience? I've never heard of such a thing! Talk about age discrimination!

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten January 2025

It's important for us to receive feedback on company policies and while I understand your disappointment with our '18-30 Somethings' terms & conditions, it is a strict policy we must adhere to. At G Adventures we pride ourselves finding the right trip for the right person - categorising our tours into travel styles therefore, is just one way in which we can do this. The decision to create this product line and enforce an age restriction did not come lightly to G Adventures as we know that the itineraries can seem quite appealing to many ages. Such data was based on extensive customer feedback G Adventures we restricted the travel style and no longer made exceptions and based the ages on the demographic data we received. It is not our intention to exclude people, it is simply to ensure we have a specific product which targets that specific age group. I do appreciate your feedback and will pass on to the necessary parties. As alternatives we suggest checking out our Classic tours which are open to all ages aged 18+.

When the tour age range says 18-39 is that a strict requirement? My wife and I are older than that but like the itinerary of the trip.
