Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
Your flight lands in Cairo and airport staff will meet you for the drive to your hotel. You'll check in and have the rest of the day to settle in for your 3-night stay in the city.



- Day 2
Saqqara and Giza Pyramids
Early on you'll head out to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid, an ancient necropolis and UNESCO World Heritage Site built around 2,650 BC. After lunch you'll make your way to the Giza plateau where the pyramids wait, including the Pyramid of Khufu at 138 meters tall, along with the Sphinx standing guard over the burial ground.

- Day 3
Cairo Museums and Old City
This morning takes you through Cairo's cultural sites. First stop is the Egyptian Museum to see ancient artifacts, then you'll visit the Alabaster Mosque and Saladin Citadel in the UNESCO-listed Islamic Old City. By evening you'll wander through Khan al-Khalili bazaar where merchants sell everything from spices to crafts.

- Day 4
Cairo to Luxor and Nile Cruise Begins
An early flight gets you from Cairo to Luxor on the Nile's eastern bank. After boarding your cruise ship and having lunch, you'll visit the Karnak Temple complex dedicated to Amun Re, walk past colossal pharaoh statues, then check out Luxor Temple before heading back to your ship for the night.

- Day 5
Valley of the Kings and Mortuary Temple
You'll start early heading to the Valley of the Kings to see ancient reliefs, hieroglyphs, and colorful portraits inside pharaonic tombs. Next comes Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple set against rock walls, followed by the twin Memnon Colossi standing over the Valley. After lunch back on your ship, you'll cruise toward Edfu.

Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples
At Edfu's western edge sits the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt's best-preserved temples dedicated to the falcon god. You'll have lunch on your ship as it heads for Kom Ombo, where you'll explore the double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. The evening brings a relaxing cruise toward Aswan.

Aswan Dam and Temple of Philae
After breakfast you'll visit the Aswan Dam, a massive engineering project completed in the 1960s. Then you'll see the 'unfinished obelisk' made of rose granite in an old quarry. Following lunch on your ship, a boat takes you to Agilkia Island in Lake Nasser to visit the Temple of Philae and learn how it was rescued from flooding.

- Day 8
Abu Simbel and Lake Nasser Cruise
You'll leave your Nile cruise ship and travel to Abu Simbel to board a Lake Nasser cruise vessel. The rock temple complex of Abu Simbel features colossal statues of Ramses II at the entrance. You'll learn about the 1960s rescue operation that saved this temple from the Aswan Dam's flooding, then settle in for your 3-night cruise.

- Day 9
Qasr Ibrim and Wadi el-Seboua
The ship moves leisurely toward Qasr Ibrim, an archaeological site on a rocky island that you'll view from the sun deck. A shore excursion takes you to the Temple of Amada, Temple of Ed-Derr, and Tomb of Pennut. Later the ship heads for Wadi el-Seboua, and an optional Nubian show with dance and music is available onboard.
