Alternatively, we can arrange a Zanzibar extension for approximately USD 400 per person for 3 nights and 4 days, on bed-and-breakfast accommodation and transfers, with leisure time in Zanzibar. Flights to Zanzibar are not included and generally cost from approximately USD 130 per person one way.

What are the age limits for this tour for elderly people?

The recommended age limit for senior travellers is 80 years. However, this can be extended for travellers who are fit, comfortable with mobility, and able to manage the journey, as the safari involves extended periods of driving.

I am interested in your 8 day safari which includes Lake Eyasi, or the 7 day tour which is all safaris/animals/birds. I'll be in Moshi on Sunday 4th October so is it possible to be picked up from there? I'm flying back home on 11th October from kilimanjaro airport

Regarding your luggage, you will not need to place your 14 kg backpack on the roof luggage rack. The roof of our safari vehicles opens for wildlife viewing, and luggage is stored in the rear luggage compartment of the vehicle. Your 45L Osprey backpack weighing 14 kg will therefore be fine.

Could I add on a few days in Zanzibar?

Yes, we can add Zanzibar to your safari. This would be a great way to finish your safari with some relaxing time on the beach.

The big 5 in Tanzania was a wonderful experience, we enjoyed every minute. Our guide, Hassan, for the safari was great, 2 nights in the Serengeti and a balloon ride, we learnt a lot about how the animals survive in the wild. Loved the add on tours, I was pleased we did the coffee planation / waterfall but wouldn't do that again, I am too old. The road was rough and so was the track to the waterfall. The rescue car did come to the a village and drove me to the coffee planation, the guides are very helpful. You have to be very firm when you want to go into Moshi, saying what you want to do. We ended up with 3 visits to the markets, 2 was fine as we went to different markets and 1 souvenir shop 3 times that didn't have what we were looking for. All in all would do it again, maybe next time in May, this time was October. Loved seeing Mt Kilimanjaro more than once, look up past the cloud level. Thank youShow more

This safari was incredible! Not only did we see The Big Five, but our guides (Godliving and Ebenezer) were great at finding these and many other animals in the enormous parks, while getting us in close for fantastic photos. We even stayed inside the Serengeti NP in upscale tents which required an escort after dark to get to the lobby for dinner! The game drives involved many hours inside the Land Cruiser, and we felt lucky to have drivers in Tanzania, as we shared the roads with motorcycles, tuk-tuks, big trucks, people and animals almost 24 hours/day. But our guides were expert drivers, so we learned not to worry when they played “chicken”as they passed vehicles. 😳 An African safari had been on my bucket list for years. And World Adventure tours exceeded all of my expectations. Borrowing from Nike, I recommend, “Just do it!”Show more

  What are usually the best months to take this type of tour? All things considered, weather, bugs, ability to see animals, temperature, etc...

  The best time for a safari covering Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti is generally from June to October.
  
  During this period, there are fewer bugs, the weather is cooler and drier, and wildlife viewing is excellent as animals gather around water sources.
  
  Temperatures are also comfortable for safari, with warm days and cooler mornings and evenings.
