Are there younger people on the Plus or Standard tour? Or is it different? What is the average age? How many people are normally included?

Travelers must be between 18 and 35 years old to join Contiki tours. The standard version of the tour can host up to 45 travelers, while the Plus version can accommodate a maximum of 35 travelers. Standard tours offer comfortable, budget-friendly accommodations like hostels or budget hotels. Plus tours provide upgraded accommodations like higher-end hotels. Plus tours usually include more activities, meals, and sometimes exclusive experiences.

What is the luggage allowance for the tour?

The luggage allowance is one suitcase not exceeding 20kg and one carry-on.

How active is the Greek Island Hopping (Plus, 11 Days)? We do not want to sit on a bus all day. We like hiking, walking, swimming, etc. If the trip is just a sightseeing on a bus trip, then this is not for us.

On this trip you'll experience, covering Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, Ios, and Athens. Enjoy vibrant nightlife, relaxing sunny days, picturesque villages, local boutiques, volcanic landscapes, natural coves, and stunning beaches. You'll have plenty of time for sunbathing, swimming, partying, and exploring ancient history.

Does that mean I should look for another tour?

Apologies as all our Contiki tours are strictly for travellers ages 18 to 35 years old only.

My daughter will only be 17 when we travel. She has an August birthday and won't be 18 till Aug 2nd. I saw the age range for the 11 day tour is 18. She will have graduated high school and this would be her senior graduation present.

Contiki tours have an age restriction, requiring guests to be between 18-35 years old to participate. As you are outside this age range, you would not be eligible to join the trip. The Contiki trip was exactly what I (32 year old male traveller from NJ, USA, attorney by trade) wanted - adult spring break. I got to travel to some of the world’s most picturesque destinations with a group of fun-loving party animals and experience the “best of” Greece at a fast pace with almost every detail taken care of. I enjoyed the mix of historical, physical, and fun activities - exploring ancient ruins, hiking a volcano, boat tours, bar hopping, and more. Additionally, the fact that many of these activities are optional add-ons means that only those that are going to want to be there are there. If you don’t want to be there - no problem, lounge on the beach, explore the cities/islands, sleep in, or simply do whatever else you want to do. We stayed at some incredible places, including a hotel on the water in Athens with a rooftop bar across the street from the beach, and one of the world’s best beach clubs in Mykonos. While the rooms were a bit basic, it helped keep the price of the trip down, and it was more than sufficient for the minimal sleep we got almost every night anyway. I can’t speak highly enough about our tour leader, Maddie. She was knowledgable, incredibly hard-working, and made sure that any problem, including regarding Covid, was quickly dealt with. She rocked. Finally, as a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable on this trip because there were so many other solo travelers who went as well, and everyone is looking to meet everyone else. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
