    Asked on November 4th, 2025

Do I understand this right, that this is no group tour? Because on Tourradar it is listed as a group tour.

    Tour Details
    • Maebar TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

We don't have any groups traveling to Bhutan on your given dates. Usually, smaller groups of 2 to 4 people prefer not to join other groups. However, we do receive many solo travelers, especially from the US and Europe. If you're comfortable traveling alone, you'll be accompanied by a guide and driver throughout your tour. Bhutan is a very safe country.

    Asked on September 8th, 2025

Is it possible for children to join this tour? What are the age requirements and costs?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Maebar TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

There is no Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for children below 6 years of age. For children between 6 and 12 years, the SDF is offered at a 50% discount, which comes to $50 per night. Children are welcome to join the tour, and our guides are trained to work with families and children.

      TravelerWritten September 2025

Would there be any adjustment to the tour fee for children?

    • Maebar TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

The price for adults remains the same. For a 6-year-old child, the cost will be $750, and a child under 2 years can join free of charge.

      Allison

      TravelerWritten September 2025

Can my children (5 years and 8 years old) share rooms with adults to reduce costs?

    • Maebar TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

According to government policy, Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of $50 per day applies to children aged 6 to 12. I can reduce $60 from the $750 tour cost if children share a bed and do not require an extra bed.

      Allison

      TravelerWritten September 2025

Can we see the Paro Tshechu festival during our tour? What are the festival dates?

    • Maebar TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

The Paro Tsechu Festival will take place from 29th March to 2nd April, so you'll be able to witness the festival on 30th March. A child under 6 years will be exempted from the Sustainable Development Fee and will only be charged USD 165 to cover meals for 6 nights.
