What people love about Cyclades Greece Tours
- Greek Island Hopping | Semi guided Tour | 11 Days
Thank you so much for everything, we are very happy with the service from the beginning to the end. We definitely reach out to you again.
- Sailing Greece - Santorini to Santorini
Took a tour with G Adventures and really loved the experience. I did the May 2017 Greece Sailing tour and found that the tour was a perfect mix of the best food, best beaches, variety of sightseeing, relaxing, sailing and exploring. We also had a good amount of freedom to explore the islands where we stopped. The group brought together some adventurous people! The other unique thing about this tour was that it was not touristy or a large crowd. We felt like a group of friends exploring the local culture. I would recommend it for anyone who really wants to soak in the culture of the locale and also not stress out about bookings, schedules, costs, language barriers, etc. It's priced very fairly for what is included. Wish you the best of travel experiences!
- Greece Sailing Adventure: Cyclades Islands
My daughter and I just got back from sailing around 9 greek islands starting in Santorini n finishing there. The whole experience was sensational and I highly recommend it. The group got on really well we had a blast of a time. The Skipper Antonios was totally awesome in assuring our safety n explaining the different parts of the yatch n he gave us an opportunity to sail the boat I totally loved sailing the boat what an experience it was. Ill never forget the deep blue sea i was mesmorised by the colour. Antonios did great job at telling us about the islands n where to catch the bus if we wanted n guided us in best way possible. I loved everything about this holiday the only downfall was how tiny the cabins were pretty tight n squishy but we survived, we were there for 3wks but it felt like 3 months in a fantabulous way. Will definately do it again 1 day. Love love loved it. Cat and Bonnie xo

Our sailing trips between Mykonos and Santorini run 7-10 days and show you the Cyclades from the water. We'll take you to places most visitors miss, like the Small Cyclades - just four of these tiny islands have year-round residents. The schedule is nicely flexible; you might start with an early morning swim off Naxos, check out ancient temples during the day and dock in time for evening drinks in Mykonos' Little Venice. The yachts take 8-12 people, which our customers say creates just the right atmosphere for making friends. They particularly value how our skippers know all the local spots, from hidden swimming spots to family-run tavernas away from the crowds.
See all Sailing toursOur most popular island-hopping routes through the Cyclades run 7-11 days and hit all the essential spots - Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and finally Santorini. We've found the sweet spot with a mix of scheduled activities and open time to explore. You'll sail around Santorini's volcanic formations, find secluded swimming spots in Naxos and wander through Mykonos's winding pathways. The seamless transfers between islands really make a difference - our travelers tell us they love being able to just relax and soak in each place without worrying about logistics. Some tours include nice extras like hands-on cooking in Naxos or visits to small family vineyards in Santorini, where you'll learn how volcanic soils give local wines their unique profile.

"The trip was good all round - especially our tour guide "Stelios". We were a great group and had a wonderful time together throughout. The only criticism was the accommodation - all the accommodation was very basic and the last one was borderline.

Want to stretch your euros? Several budget-friendly tours pack ancient ruins and island life into 5-7 days, usually combining Athens with either Mykonos or Santorini. Our customers love catching those early morning ferries from Piraeus - you arrive just as the island towns start their day. You'll explore the Acropolis, get lost in Plaka's winding streets and watch the sun dip into the sea from Oia village in Santorini. The hotels are simple but well-placed, and travelers keep telling us how smoothly all the transfers work. Some tours throw in nice extras like volcanic island cruises with BBQ lunches or wine tastings in traditional Santorini cellars.
The luxury tours really shine when it comes to those special moments and top-notch service. Our Premium Cyclades tour runs 9 days and puts you up in carefully picked boutique hotels - including some really nice cave suites in Santorini. You'll cook with locals in Naxos using ingredients straight from their gardens, visit family vineyards and sail private catamarans around Santorini's caldera. What makes these special? It's the personal side - like meeting olive oil makers in Paros or cooking with families in their village homes. Our travelers particularly value their guides who know the culture inside out and can switch things up based on what interests you.

We start in Athens with an Acropolis tour, then it's off to Mykonos for two nights - plenty of time to find those quiet beaches and family-run restaurants. The three nights in Santorini let you really settle in, with chances to cruise past the volcano, relax on black sand beaches and catch the sunset from different spots each evening. Our travelers particularly enjoy having time to explore inland villages like Megalochori, mixing wine tastings with glimpses of traditional island life. You'll get a good mix of planned activities and free time to wander.

Ten days lets us dive deeper into Cyclades culture. We start properly in Athens with expert-led walks through Plaka and visits to local food markets. Then it's island time - usually Mykonos, Santorini and either Naxos or Paros. The extra days mean we can include cooking classes in local homes, visits to small olive oil producers and walks through lesser-known village streets. Our guests often tell us how much they value these unhurried days - whether they're learning about Santorini's wine traditions or watching the morning fish catch come in at Mykonos harbor.

Demographics
The 11-day island hopping tours really work for solo travelers, especially when staying in social hostels or small hotels right in the middle of everything. Group tours from Athens create instant friendships - people often tell us they're sharing drinks on a Plaka rooftop by day one. The sailing trips between Mykonos and Santorini are particularly good value with shared cabins keeping costs down. You'll join group activities like hiking volcanoes and beach cookouts, but there's always free time to explore on your own or grab dinner with new friends at local tavernas.
Our couples consistently pick the 9-11 day premium island-hopping tours that blend romantic moments with real Greek experiences. We arrange private transfers and select special hotels - think Santorini cave suites overlooking the caldera and intimate boutique spots in Mykonos' quiet corners. Evening wine tastings at family vineyards and sunset sailing trips always end up as trip highlights. The pace feels just right with 2-3 nights per island, mixing guided experiences like cooking in Naxos gardens with plenty of time to find your own secret beaches and village cafes.
The 11-day island adventures really click with young adult travelers looking to mix beaches, culture and good nights out. You'll hit the famous Mykonos beach clubs and sunset bars but also go deeper - kayaking to hidden coves and hiking old paths between mountain villages. Groups stay small at 12-16 people, perfect for making friends along the way. The sailing days between islands are always popular, with plenty of chances to jump off for swims at empty beaches. You'll see cultural highlights like the Acropolis but keep your evenings free to check out each island's unique nightlife with your group.
Cultural odyssey tours running 8-9 days through the Cyclades get great feedback from our senior travelers. The pace works well, with comfortable hotels in quieter spots and private transfers everywhere you go. You'll have deeper cultural experiences - meeting artisans in their workshops and visiting family olive oil producers. Walking tours take manageable routes while still reaching the best photo spots. Our experienced local guides share rich island history and mythology, and you can always skip activities if you prefer a quiet day by the pool or exploring village streets at your own speed.
Families exploring the Greek islands tell us they love the 7-day Classical Greece tours that mix structure with free time to explore. Kids get excited about swimming at Santorini's volcanic beaches and climbing around the Acropolis ruins in Athens. The sailing trips are a big hit - you might spot dolphins while cruising to quiet coves away from the crowds. Staying multiple days on each island works perfectly with children; no need to constantly pack and unpack. Our family groups especially enjoy cooking with local hosts in their homes and wandering through narrow village streets where cars can't go.

- Fall / Autumn 2025
September and October capture local life at its best, with fewer tourists but sea temperatures staying warm through October. The 11-day comprehensive tours are particularly popular now - you get all the key sites like ancient Athens, charming Mykonos and also Santorini's sunsets, but with space to really explore. Water visibility peaks for snorkeling, and sailing tours add extra swim stops to take advantage. Our travelers consistently mention the autumn light being perfect for photos, especially during caldera cruises as the sun sets. Looking at the feedback from our travelers, Dot Travel really delivers when you want easy island connections without any transfer headaches. While they handle the logistics well, Travel Zone takes a different approach - their teams stay in touch throughout your trip and adjust plans to match what you're looking for. If you're interested in getting out on the water, I'd point you toward Intrepid's sailing trips. Their skippers Rita and Fotis get mentioned again and again by our clients for good reason - they know every hidden cove, share great local stories and make sure everyone's comfortable on board whether you're an experienced sailor or it's your first time on deck. Each operator has their strong points but these consistent comments from recent travelers help show where they really shine. Dot Travel keeps things smooth between islands, Travel Zone stays engaged with their guests and Intrepid's skilled skippers help you properly explore by sea rather than just taking a standard boat tour.
