  Dot travel was tremendous. Everything worked seamlessly. Our favorite spot was Hotel Benois in Syros. Such a wonderful experience. It is family owned and perfect in every way. Best food of all. So close to an amazing swimming beach. Wonderful place for sunrises and sunsets. Our tour with John was great. Only we 2 on the tour and an amazing morning. Loved our lunch in the capital. Mykonos was our least favorite island. Would skip in the future. Hotel so hard for me to even see the beach. Glad we only had 2 nights. We did enjoy our tour of the island and the visit to the farm. Wonderful fresh lunch. Santorini had an excellent hotel and so easy to go to Kamari beach. Loved shopping there and excellent restaurants along the beach. My daughter climbed to the top of Thera. She also swam in the caldera and climbed to the top of the volcano and went around it. That tour took us to Oia and we had an amazing dinner and watched the sunset. That tour was excellent. We went one night to a Greek Night in Kamari. Excellent food and dancing. My daughter got to dance with them. So much fun. Loved our time on Santorini and liked staying away from the cruise ships Crete was amazing. Our hotel was in a good spot for shopping and restaurants. Sunsets were beautiful. We did take the tour of the Minoans. Really enjoyed that. We also took a bus trip to the far eastern side of the island to see pink sand and swim. Was a lovely day but long bus trip. Was fun to see an overview of the lsland. My daughter wants to go back and hike there. Athens was very hot. I got dehydrated at the acropolis. I saw enough of it but did not feel like touring the museum. Luckily my daughter took me back through the museum and showed me the highlights. Excellent lunch at the museum. Nice gift store. We had dinner that evening on the roof of the hotel. Got to see the acropolis all lit up. We had excellent meal our last night close to the acropolis. I did enjoy the Athens hotel. Great breakfast there. All hotels had great breakfast except the Pelican Bay in Mykonos. Taxis were always right there for us. It was easy to get our ferry tickets. Enjoyed the ferry rides overall. Plane back to Athens was good. Everyone was so good to us. Always felt safe. I am 77 and was able to do almost everything. I came home with such wonderful memories. Our favorite hotels were Hotel Benois and The Agean in Kamari beach. I would especially like to go back to Hotel Benois in Syros for an extended vacation.   Everything worked perfectly from rides to and from airports and ports, to hotel accomodations. Hotels were all very nice as well as the breakfasts. Ferries were on time and quick to get to each island. The only thing I would change is to stay 3 rather than 2 days on each island.Show more

  We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Greece and the islands. everything happened exactly on time and was well explained to us. The hotels were generally good with the exception of one that was quite far away from anything and required a 15+ minute bus ride to get any options. We really like the selection of the islands with Chiro‘s being a quieter, more laid-back Island, Mykonos and Santorini classic Greek islands with such beauty and wonderful hotels, and Crete with our hotel right on the beach. All the fairies worked out very well as did the flight back to Athens. I would highly recommend this tour/semi tour as you are left on your own to enjoy Greece as you want.Show more

  We did the Best of Greece (15 days) Athens & 4 Islands (Self Guided) Tour from 30/07/2026 to 13/08/2026 and could not fault it. We optioned for the upgrades of fast ferries and 4 star accommodation. The correspondence with both Tour Radar and Dot Travel was exceptional. Everything worked seamlessly : the drivers at all locations were absolutely brilliant - helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly, the ferries were well organised and quite the experience and the hotels surpassed our expectations, with wonderful rooms and engaging staff. We visited Athens, Syros, Mykonos, Santorini and Crete: all incredibly beautiful and very different in their own beautiful, special way. Greece truly is an amazing experience due to the culture, history, cuisine, scenery and of course the people!! Highly recommend this trip facilitated by Dot Travel, Greece because all of the stressful details are handled but you are given the flexibility to organise your own days at the specific locations.   DOT Travel put together an interesting set of accommodations and transfers, that allow you to see the best of Greece, the Cyclades Islands ( I did Syros, Mykonos & Santorini this time ) and Crete. The standard of accommodation was excellent for 3 and 4 Star Hotels. My location in Athens meant I saw the best of it, such s the Acropolis and toured it, the Acropolis Museum, the Agora, the Sky Bar and did some time at the beach club at Bolivar. I saw the National War Museum, the Botanic Gardens, the Panhellenic Stadium…I got to walk the narrow streets of Athens safely, at all hours. The Cyclades Islands required you to use taxis pre-booked to get you to Piraeus then catch the Austral Jet Passenger boats across the Aegean to the various islands. I only took an 8 kilo backpack for my Islands tours and that of Crete. That was all I needed. Syros was my favourite island but Mykonos is fun. Santorini is interesting as it has volcanic history and you are 230 metres above sea level unless you use the various car hires or special access to get down to sea level. DOT Travel age based in Hernonissos in Crete and ran the most beautiful hotel on the waterfront, near seafood restaurants, and beaches to swim from or beach clubs where you pay handsomely for access to drinks, food, music, sunshade, and swimming. The people at DOT Travel could do enough to assist me. I enjoyed their work, the way the holiday is set up, their friendly nature assisting you enjoy your holiday. I would travel with DOT Travel again.Show more
