We are a group of two adults and one child, interested in an Everest Base Camp trek package. We would like to reach base camp on 4 November for our son's birthday, so we would need to begin the trek on the 26th or 27th of October. Are you able offer your services on those dates? This package offers a trek to the South Everest Base Camp from the Nepal side. You will get a direct view of Mount Everest from Kala Patthar itself. Namche, Pangboche, and Kalapatthar offer some of the best views of Everest. On Day 8, you will visit Everest Base Camp, and on Day 9, you will hike to Kala Patthar, the highest and best viewpoint of the trip. From Kala Patthar, you will have one of the closest and most breathtaking views of Mount Everest.

do u have any group tours departing in the first few days of july? Im travelling alone so i tend to join a team. And is it fine to trek in nepal's rainy season?

Would like to inform myself for the EBC. Could you give me some additional information if the date chosen is a good time during the year to do the trek? Could you also help me with identifying the relevant journey utensils, which need to be taken with me for the trek? What are the usual temperatures during those months?

March to May and September to December is good time. July is monsoon season there might be a lots lukla flight canceled problem!

When reading what is/is not included, there was a point about flights in March being from Ramechhap and not Lukla. Would we need to book separate transportation from our hotel in Kathmandu to Ramechhap airport?

If need to go to Ramechhap, You don't need to book a separate Transportation that's transportation is included in the package.

Are attached bathrooms available throughout the trek in the guest or tea houses?

Attached bathrooms are available until Dingboche but not available for the last 3 days of the trek.

I'm considering thew 12 Day Trek to EBC with Sherpa, but I'm worried about Flight Delays as I only have a limited time to complete the trip and no flexibility at all. What happens if the Kathmandu to Lukla flight is delayed...due to weather and what are the chances of this in April?

Based on our experience from previous years, April has a very low chance of flight cancellations or delays. However, weather conditions in the mountains can be unpredictable, and if there are any issues, we do offer the option of taking a helicopter. Please note that this would incur an additional charge of approximately USD 300-450 one way.

Both were fantastic. they know the ins and outs of the treks, adjusted the route in our favor if needed. The porters (Pasang Lama, Nuru, Rangdu) were great too. we had so much fun with everybody. Everybody was always super positive and super helpful. You couldn‘t ask for more! If I go again for a Himalaya trek (which is very likely) I would 100% choose Sherpa Expeditions again and especially Lakpa and Passng as our guides!Show more

Overall we had an absolutely brilliant time, it was the trek of a lifetime. The tea houses were surprisingly good, with great food selection. The guide, Mindu, was brilliant and looked after everything so we had nothing to worry about. He was knowledgable and taught us lots about culture and the surroundings. Sherpa Expedition Trekking/ Teams (both the same- it’s not obvious that they are) provided down coats and sleeping bags, which were in brilliant condition, rated to -20 and were certainly warm enough. In fact, the sleeping bag was too warm for the lower tea houses. They also provided great duffel bags. Note- if you book the tour through tour radar and not Sherpa directly, it’s worth leaving the porter booking for the time being and sort it directly with Sherpa to avoid any confusion on how many are needed/ prices etc. The only thing we had concerns about was we’d have liked more constant and consistent monitoring of our symptoms for altitude. Our blood oxygen saturation readings were taken when we requested it, but there were discrepancies between what the guide told us was an acceptable SATs reading, and what we found on published medical journals. So I’d encourage you to be vigilant about this, and if it doesn’t seem right, speak up. Overall, holiday of a life time- take the plunge and enjoy it! Best, DanShow more

When reading what is/is not included, there was a point about flights in March being from Ramechhap and not Lukla. Would we need to book separate transportation from our hotel in Kathmandu to Ramechhap airport?

I'm considering thew 12 Day Trek to EBC with Sherpa, but I'm worried about Flight Delays as I only have a limited time to complete the trip and no flexibility at all. What happens if the Kathmandu to Lukla flight is delayed...due to weather and what are the chances of this in April?

However, weather conditions in the mountains can be unpredictable, and if there are any issues, we do offer the option of taking a helicopter. Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Sherpa Expedition Teams. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
