    Tipping is not compulsory in the Balkans, but it is appreciated for good service. In restaurants, around 10% is generally suggested if you are satisfied with the service. At bars and taxis, rounding up the amount is usually sufficient. The guide and driver would also appreciate a tip as a gesture of gratitude at the end of the tour.

    So for that price I would be sharing a room? How much for my own room? Also I am 67 not 59 though am fit and active! Would that be a problem?

    At the moment, the single room option is not available for this tour so the price shown would be based on sharing a room. There is no problem with you joining the tour at 67. We welcome travelers of all ages, and being fit and active is certainly a great advantage for enjoying the trip!

The age range of our groups varies depending on the departure, and it happens that the particular departure you were considering currently has mostly passengers in their 60s.     We are pleased to confirm that the 17 September 2026 departure is guaranteed to operate, with more than 17 passengers currently booked.
    
    Unfortunately, we do not offer a private room option for this tour.
    
    The included airport transfer is the arrival airport transfer from Sofia Airport to the hotel on Day 1 only. There is no airport transfer included at the end of the tour.
    
    The typical group size is around 15–40 passengers. For the 17 September departure, the current group includes travellers ranging from their 20s to their 80s, with a good mix of age groups. There are also solo travellers in the group, although we cannot provide specific passenger details.
    
    There have been no recent changes to the itinerary or border crossings due to regional events, and the tour is currently operating as advertised with no interruptions.

    Roommate preference: Once your booking is confirmed, we can note your preference for a non-smoking roommate and, if possible, someone around your age. While we cannot guarantee a specific match, we will certainly take your preference into consideration.
    Luggage: There are no specific luggage size or weight restrictions for the coach. A backpack and medium-sized suitcase should be absolutely fine.

    Unfortunately, a private room option is not available for this itinerary. The tour is only offered with shared accommodation, so it would not be possible to book a room for sole occupancy. However if you book with a companion you wouldn't then have to share with a stranger.

    U.S. passport holders do not currently require a visa for the countries visited on this itinerary, provided your travel is for tourism and within the permitted length of stay. The tour visits: Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia, Greece.   I am writing about your age restrictions for those who are over age 59. I am 71, and my wife is 68. Our first trip with TourRadar was in 2022, and this tour would be our fourth. I walk an hour a day and exercise regularly. We are experienced travellers. We ask you to make an exception for us.
