From start to finish we had a fantastic experience with Nepal Social Trek. The booking experience was smooth and informative, and the trek exceeded all expectations. Our group had people flying in from different locations at different times, and Nepal Social Trek were great at ensuring there was someone at the airport to pick each of us up. Our guide, Achut Panday, and the two porters that supported our trek to Everest Base Camp were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We booked the helicopter from Kathmandu into Lukla, which I would recommend as that seemed to be more reliable. The accommodation and food along the trek were basic but much better than we expected. Our guide was brilliantly organised and booked ahead which often meant we had the better rooms. The scenery along the route is breathtaking, pictures and videos that I had seen in advance do not do it justice. If anyone if thinking about booking this trip, I couldn't recommend it enough.Show more

We just returned from completing the trek to Everest Base Camp and I cannot give enough credit and praise to Tour Radar and especially, NEPAL SOCIAL TREKS for the success of our trip! Everyone that we worked with was absolutely wonderful! Due to covid, we had to postpone for a year and the switch to new dates was seamless. I contacted Tour Radar so many times with a million questions as we waited to see if Nepal would open up and they were always prompt and professional in their responses. Basu, the local coordinator from Nepal Social Treks, was so supportive and kept us updated with the process and guided us through every step so that, once we arrived, everything was ready to go. Then, we met our amazing guide Kamal, who picked us up at the airport and brought us to our hotel (the surprisingly luxurious Woodapple Hotel & Spa) Again, everything was taken care of so we did not have to worry about trying to navigate ourselves to the right spot. We debriefed for the trek, had a delicious meal at Woodapple, and got a good night’s sleep before we headed to Lukla. The entire trek was incredible. Words cannot describe the beauty we saw. We lucked out with perfect weather – blue skies and great visibility almost the entire way. It was a tough hike, but Kamal and our amazing porters, Ajay & Gyane, were all so kind and patient. We had differences in the way that we hiked (some faster, some slower) and Kamal managed this so that every person felt comfortable to trek at their own speed. No one was rushed. He anticipated our every need and exceeded all expectations. Plus he kept us laughing and entertained all along the way with great stories, music, singing and dancing (especially once at the tea houses). Also, Kamal ensured we had the best sleeping rooms. They were surprisingly warm and comfortable! We are already thinking about when we can come back and see more of this beautiful country.Show more

LOVED NEPAL SOCIAL TREKS & THEIR SERVICE !!!! This was my first Everest Base camp trek and I will be back, for sure ! Basu was informative, responsive and very accomodating to schedules. Kamal Panday was our tour guide and I would high recommend him. He is friendly, full of information and advice and ensured our trek was successful. He checked our oxygen levels and consistently asked to see how we were feeling. The tea lodges were warm and friendly and the meals were plentiful !!! This company was a pleasure to work with and made the entire trekking journey pleasurable and memorable. I am coming back and will definitely reach out to Basu and Kamal for my future treks in the lovely Himalaya mountains. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and will be fondly remembered.Show more

Fantastic tour and would definitely recommend! Nepal social treks did everything in their power to accommodate, but you get what you pay for in terms of accommodation and there’s nothing they can do to control if the plane will go or not! You’ll have more than enough to eat and the guide was really nice company and knowledgeable, helping us when we started to feel the effects of altitude and remembering the names of the mountains. Our only complaint is that there was a lot left in translation as his English was perhaps not as good as other guides we spoke to along the way. Overall the organisation of the trek when we were there and the communication from Nepal social treks before we departed was fantastic and we loved (nearly) every minute of it!! Thanks for the experience!!Show more
