The extra night in Sofia will be 80 EUR for a Single room, and 90 EUR for a Double one. If you are a single traveler there is a single room supplement of 320 EUR. Also, the Local payment is a predetermined amount of 300 EUR per person which is mandatory on some of our tours to be paid cash to the tour leader upon arrival. The local payment is part of the total cost of the tour, it is NOT an additional fee. This exact amount is deducted from your initial invoice that you pay pre-departure.

Now with this knowledge we are going to choose our favorite places and go for longer stays. The tour itself was pretty organized. Our tour lead Galia was very friendly and accommodated our needs and kept the group together even though this group was awesome. The driver Bobi (Bobby) did an excellent job to get us around safely. Only issue was the leak from the bus ceiling when it was raining outside (it rained inside too). I hope this glitch will be taken care of for the future tours with this bus. Hotels were adequate and most of them in good locations. A few did not have elevator which was mentioned in the documents and we were prepared for it. overall, very good experience.Show more

Her knowledge was incredible and she managed all the people and everyone's personalities really well and gave us a lot of excellent information. Our bus driver Bobby was fantastic. He made me feel safe while he was driving through some very difficult situations. The cities that we visited starting in Sofia, Bulgaria, then to Serbia and Belgrade and Bosnia, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Kotor in Montenegro, then over the mountains into Albania and Kosovo and north Macedonia, then back to Bulgaria. It was the most fun and interesting and fascinating tour I have ever been on and I would highly recommend it.Show more

If the pre-night is booked with us, the clients will be able to stay in the same room and will not need to change rooms in Sofia. The rate for a twin room in Sofia is 90 EUR per night.

At few occasions, the emails I received from Tourradar, it show I have $207 Canadian dollars and like to apply it to this booking. But now, I can not find it. Not too sure the credit is under my name or my wife's name. We just came back from trip (Baltic countries) last October.

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Penguin Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Penguin Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Penguin Travel" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Penguin Travel. Please familiarize yourself with the Penguin Travel payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
