Do/can you arrange pick up at Entebbe Airport? Cost? Do the tents we stay in have fans or air cons? What will the temps be at this time of year in Uganda, which I imagine will be hot at this time of year.

Yes we pick up from Entebbe airport for this trip, no problem. We do not have weather details in our notes, but as it will be summer, yes it will be hot. We would recommend checking weather information online. We will have to check with our local office to see if there are fans/air conditioning in the tents.

I saw this tour advertised for AU$5,324 last weekend and on Wednesday morning. I thought I had until 16th September to book so left it for today and now it is saying $7099. I just wanted to check is there any more fares for $5324.

It was a good tour: think the accommodation could be better though for the price we paid. Small fans in large rooms don't work in hot weather. The meals were good. The guides were good & kept everything rolling. Didn't have much luck with the game viewing (except for elephants & hippos) but the mountain gorilla & chimpanzee treks were amazing. And these 2 excursions are what made the trip so good. (These kind of trips can be hit & miss. )Show more

  The local office have advised that the start hotel has air conditioning. The tents used for camping have fans apart from camping in Bwindi Impenetrable NP. This area is cold, so they do not have fans in the tents

  My yellow fever vaccination card is 50 years old. At 72 years of age it's not recommended to have a yellow fever vaccination due to possible side effects. How do you guys get around that? What's the risk of not be granted an entry visa?

  Under World Health Organization guidelines, a single full-dose Yellow Fever vaccination is valid for life, even if it was given 50 years ago. At 72, it's also true that the vaccine is generally not recommended due to increased risk of side effects, which is why many travellers in your age group enter Uganda and Rwanda using a medical waiver instead of a new vaccination. What you can do: > Visit your doctor or travel clinic and request a Yellow Fever medical waiver stating the vaccine is not advisable due to age. > Present the waiver together with your original Yellow Fever card on arrival. > Both Uganda and Rwanda routinely accept these waivers, and with the correct documentation, the risk of issues at entry is very low.
