  • E

    Elaine

    Asked on May 22nd, 2026

Would it be possible to travel on this tour if she uses a walker?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten May 2026

Our tours do involve a significant amount of walking, typically around 2–3 hours at a time, as well as stairs, uneven surfaces, cobblestones, and extended periods on foot.

Guests who use a walker are still welcome to join the tour; however, please note that on the coach we are only able to accommodate a cane, as space onboard is limited.

We do strongly recommend a good level of mobility for comfort and ease throughout the itinerary, and a cane is generally more suitable than a walker given the pace of travel and sightseeing schedule.

      TravelerWritten May 2026

I found a lower price directly on the Expat Explores web site using promo code TLMATT. This code gave a discount of $240.75CAD per person. I'm looking at booking 2 single rooms.

    • E

      Elaine

      TravelerWritten June 2026

However I dont understand why you cant match a price that I got directly from your own website. Please explain why you wouldnt honor your own web site it dosnt make scense. When I priced out the tour on your web site it allowed me to apply this promo code TLMATT that gave a discount of $481.50 for a total of $12,878.50 for 2 single rooms. If I book the tour thru TourRadar there is no option to add the promo code so the total price is $13,360

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2026

The promo code TLMATT is a promotion offered exclusively by Expat Explore for bookings made directly through the Expat Explore website. As TourRadar operates as a separate booking platform, promotional codes that are specific to direct Expat Explore bookings cannot be applied to reservations made through TourRadar.

This is why you were able to achieve a lower total when pricing the tour directly on the Expat Explore website, while the TourRadar booking reflects the standard TourRadar pricing without the direct-booking promotional discount.

Could you please provide us with the name of the accommodations and the price for a single room? Additionally, we'd like to know the costs for adding arrival and departure transfers.

    Accommodation
    Flights / Transfers
    Single supplement
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

At this stage, the departure is too far in advance for us to give you a confirmed list of hotels. Due to the fact that our hotels are subject to change, we do not provide inaccurate information beforehand to minimize any confusion that may be caused. We therefore suggest reaching out roughly 90 days prior for this information.

The price of the Single Room Upgrade for this tour and departure is at 1,435 USD.

Regrettably, we can no longer assist with transfers. We recommend using public transport for airport-to-hotel transportation. If you prefer a transfer service, you can easily book through Welcome Pickups, a user-friendly platform with competitive prices.

    Asked on December 24th, 2025

is there an optional excursion from Oslo to go to Fam or Gudvangen to see the Fiords ? It will ab a shame not to see the Fijords in Norway.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

At this time, our Northern Explorer itinerary is fixed, and there is no optional excursion from Oslo to Flam or Gudvangen included in the program. However, the itinerary does include visits to Norway's stunning fjords, ensuring you still get to experience the breathtaking scenery the region is famous for.

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2025

We absolutely welcome travelers of all ages, including those who are 81. That said, please note that this tour involves moderate physical activity, including walking tours that may last 2–3 hours on uneven surfaces, and some hotels may not have elevators. For safety and comfort, we ask that all travelers are fit enough to manage these activities independently. If mobility could be a concern, we recommend bringing a companion who can assist as our tour leaders are not able to provide physical support. You may also want to discuss your travel plans with your doctor to ensure this tour is a good fit for you.

  • A

My partner will be 79 at time if travel, apparently over the recommended age of 75. He is very fit and healthy for his age.

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten July 2025

We do recommend our tours for travelers aged 75 and under, but we are happy to welcome travelers over this age as long as they are fit, healthy, and able to manage the physical demands of the tour. This includes being able to walk for extended periods (up to 2–3 hours during walking tours), board and exit the coach independently (as there are no lifts and the steps can be higher than usual), and carry your own luggage.

Our flight arrives at 7.15am on the morning the tour starts in Amsterdam, will we have enough time to join the tour, or are we better to rest on day 1 for the start on day 2

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten June 2025

If your flight arrives at 7:15 AM and tour meeting is at 10:00 AM, it should be doable but tight. Consider travel time from airport, customs, baggage. We suggest arriving the day before to be well-rested and avoid rushing.

Can you please advise me which month is better, May or October for visiting Scandinavia and Baltic regions. As far as I know, Scandinavia has a longer night and getting colder.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2024

It would be up to your personal preference. Both May and October sandwich the Summer Months in the Region. During those months, the weather is fair and not too cold, crowds are also minimal compared to the Summer Season.
