Both my wife and I, had a wonderful time and an experience that will remain memorable for both of us. A trip that without the guide we would not have gone to all the historical places that we visited. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The only part that we would have love to have is time. It feels like we were always on a time crunch which is understandable. If more time was given, then we would have been able to explore a little bit more.

It was too fast. Would love it it abit slower more time at each city and a chance to see more art Museums. I had a problem with my knee and was walking with a cane. Did not want to miss the tour. The expat tour guide Sem was very accommodating and kind. But I could not keep up at times. He would figure out what I could do and make sure I had ways to make it back to the hotel when it was too much. Thank you for the experience.

Myra and Pascal performed their positions in a professional and effective way. Over and above this was their knowledge of the places visited and the kindness with which they performed their assignments. Example: one of the passengers was cheated out of money by a passenger on another bus and Myra and Pascal resolved the issue in minutes with the return of the money. The organization of the trip was superior. I do think that for me personally that the extensive walking caused me to slow down about halfway through the trip. This was due to a health condition that I thought was under control. Myra and Pascal were more than patient with me and others who experienced limitations without causing a problem with the enjoyment of the trip. Everyone in our wonderful group worked together to make the tour an unforgettable experience.

Not much is advertised about the accommodations. Are they in the center of each city ? Or out of town a bit ? Can you give out more information about them. Ie names if hotels expected to stay ?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten November 2025

For our Tours, our team consider the overall experience that Travelers go through when they join our tours. This means that not all Hotels are situated in the City Centers and most often, the Hotels used for our tours are in strategic places that can add to the overall feel to the tour. These places can be outside of the main hubs/centers but with amazing views the reflect the Country/City's culture. Our Team confirms hotels closer to the departure but at 90 days before the tour starts, we already have a list of Hotels that we have contracted. If you have any specific departure in mind, please let us know so that we can share to you the contracted Hotels (if available) for that tour.

As I am looking around may I please know the currency that we need to bring to our tour ( Europe Jewel)?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten October 2025

For the Europe Jewel tour, you'll be visiting several countries, so you'll need a mix of currencies. The main one used throughout the tour is the Euro (€), which is accepted in most destinations. However, a few countries on the itinerary use different currencies. Here's a quick guide:

      Switzerland – Swiss Franc (CHF)
Czech Republic – Czech Koruna (CZK)
      Hungary – Hungarian Forint (HUF)

You can bring Euros in cash and exchange a small amount locally when needed. Most places also accept credit or debit cards, especially in larger cities.

As long as your Insurance covers trip cancellation or disruptions at the very least, then that would be perfect. No we can no longer provide assistance in booking pre or post tour accommodations. We usually recommend for customers to book their Pre or Post Tour Accommodations via Booking.com.

What is the name of the accommodation? Will the first accommodation be the same as the last one? How close is the first and last accommodation from AMS Airport?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

At this stage, the exact hotels have not yet been allocated since your departure is still quite far in advance. What we can confirm is that you will be staying in comfortable 3-4 star hotels, usually located in the downtown or city center area of Amsterdam, which serves as both the starting and ending point of this tour. The specific name of the first and last accommodation, and whether they are the same hotel, will only be confirmed closer to your departure date (around 90 days prior). We do not offer pre- or post-night accommodation or airport transfers. If you plan to arrive early, we recommend checking platforms such as Booking.com for hotels near the meeting point once it has been confirmed.

      Is ground transport included?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten September 2025

The tour begins at your hotel in Amsterdam at 10:00 AM on the first day and ends back in Amsterdam at approximately 7:30 PM on the last day (traffic dependent). As this is a coach tour, ground transport throughout the itinerary is included; however, airport transfers to and from the meeting and ending points are not provided. For flights, we recommend arriving in Amsterdam the day before the tour starts and departing the day after the tour ends to allow some buffer time.
