Zurich to Basel
You'll arrive in Zurich and then transfer to your Emerald Cruises Star-Ship waiting in Basel. After meeting the captain and crew, you'll settle into your cabin and head to dinner on board where you can get to know your fellow passengers.

Breisach

Kehl to Strasbourg
You'll get off the ship in Kehl and take a coach to Strasbourg. There you can walk through medieval squares and see the half-timbered houses, then try authentic Alsatian food. By evening, you'll attend a private concert in a historical venue, part of your EmeraldPLUS experience.

- Day 4
Mannheim to Heidelberg
After spending the day sailing along the Rhine past where it meets the Neckar River, you'll travel by coach to Heidelberg. The focus is on exploring this UNESCO City of Literature, including Heidelberg Castle and other landmarks. You can also join a more active hike from Mount Königstuhl if you prefer.

Koblenz
The ship sails through the UNESCO World Heritage Rhine Gorge where you'll see romantic castles and medieval villages. There's also the option to visit Moselle Valley and Cochem Castle.

You'll arrive in Cologne to explore one of Germany's oldest cities and see the famous Cathedral. After lunch, you'll join a walking tour through Düsseldorf's Old Town, walk along the Rhine River, and discover the mix of ancient and modern architecture and hidden spots throughout the city.

You'll fly to Copenhagen and transfer from the airport to your hotel for a 3-night stay. This is when you'll meet other travelers and your tour director to get settled and oriented.

You'll start with a visit to Christiansborg Palace, which was once a royal home and now houses Parliament and the Supreme Court.
