Although the group will be travelling by private vehicle from La Fortuna to San José, unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, road conditions, or other delays could impact travel times and potentially affect onward arrangements. If you do decide to depart the day before the tour officially ends, please note that you would forfeit the final night of the itinerary and there would be no reimbursement or refund for the unused services.

Yes, all our tours are guaranteed departures as soon as one person is confirmed. Both of these dates are going ahead. Both the 4 and 11 March are on promotion already, the 11th is just a higher promotion. The prices online are the best we can offer.

I am Egyptian and hold a US visa. All the countries mentioned said there would be no problem except for El Salvador, where they said I must submit hotel booking and travel documents, which they said could be submitted at the border. Would it be possible for me to join you on this trip if there are no objections?

The accommodation is Simple hotels (12 nts), hostel (2 nts, multi-share), homestay (2 nts) and you will be sharing throughout the tour.

As long as one person is booked onto the tour, it is guaranteed to run. Twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip, we do not offer a single supplement.

Why are there only four meals indicated? Is this true, or are there 2 meals per day? What is meant by a "basic" trip? What are the ages and energy levels of other folks on trip?

Most meals are not included, and instead are purchased locally. Not all travellers want food included in the cost of a tour as many have different requirements to others, so travellers can purchase food as they travel. This works well as it is very affordable in the region and they have more flexibility. Physically it is very light, 2 out of 5 - so suitable for most fitness levels however if you prefer meals to be included and private rooms etc, it is probably better to consider an alternative tour that we offer.

Is it possible to do this circuit with a 5-year-old child? Are all accommodations in private rooms with private bathrooms? Is there possibility of upgrading any accommodation? The child does not pay for the circuit, correct?

The minimum age for travellers to be able to go on this trip would be 12+, so we would be unable to book your family on this trip. Children 12+ are considered as adults, and pay the regular price as adults. We do not offer upgrades on our trips.

can you tell me about the luggage allowance on this tour please?

We recommend using a backpack for your convenience, or a medium-sized suitcase if you prefer. A daypack is also essential for carrying everyday items. Space is limited on transportation, so there is a limit of one main piece of luggage per person. You will be responsible for carrying and handling your own luggage. In regards to the weight, we don't have a weight limit, it will be the airlines allowance based on your flights.

  The only times that food is included is during the homestay, so the rest of the nights, you will order your own food from the restaurants we visit. After you book, remind us that you are vegetarian and we will put this on your note for the leader to see. You can add transfers to and from the airports for an extra cost. You should bring one main luggage with you and one hand luggage, be aware we will be getting on and off a small boat for one part of the tour (El Salvador to Nicaragua) so you would need to pack accordingly.

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "G Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of G Adventures. Please familiarize yourself with the G Adventures payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
Accessibility
