I was really impressed by this tour as I was unsure what to expect of a traditionally "party focused" company doing an African safari. I have to say I was blown away. This is a very different type of Contiki with local guides and drivers who are professional and friendly as well as being open and knowledgeable about local culture and customs - plus the animal and landscape knowledge. We saw four of the big five on our first game drive and while the animals seen is beyond anyone's control, it was an incredible experience. We were blessed with sun and rain and the team made sure we didn't miss out on anything, even when it rained. There are plenty of game drives to give you the best chance of seeing as much as possible. The vehicles are comfortable and everyone gets a window seat. The accommodation exceeded my expectations and the staff at each lodge or camp were exceptionally helpful and friendly. This is the perfect trip for anyone wanting to see the animals of Africa (especially elephants and giraffes) and the scenery of East Africa, including the elusive Mt. Kilimanjaro.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 11th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Contiki. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
