Hi Christina, Thank you for your feedback, and for joining us on the 4-day Isle of Skye and Jacobite Steam Train tour! We understand your point about the longer days caused by the pick-up and drop-off of guests staying in different accommodations. This can occasionally add some time to the schedule, and we appreciate your patience with that. As our guests have a variety of needs, such as family rooms, ground floor access, or travelling with children we work closely with our accommodation partners to offer the most suitable options available at the time of booking. In busy periods, this sometimes means using different locations to ensure everyone is comfortably and appropriately accommodated. We’re glad you shared this with us, as we’re always looking to refine our processes while keeping flexibility and guest comfort a top priority. We hope the experience, scenery, and memorable moments made it a worthwhile adventure! Warm regards, Highland Experience Tours

Hi Ian, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that, despite the classic Highland weather, you had such a delightful trip. Bobby will be over the moon to know that his knowledge, humour, and care made such a lasting impression. It's not always easy to balance history, storytelling, and timing – especially in the wind and rain! – so we’re glad to hear his efforts made your journey both comfortable and memorable. We hope the beauty of the Highlands and Bobby’s commentary will stay with you for a long time, and we’d love to welcome you back on another tour in the future! Kindest Regards, Highland Experience Tours

    Paul

    Asked on May 11th, 2025

We were just wondering if there were any luggage restrictions on this trip. The two of us are planning to travel with a total of two standard size backpacks, one carryon size suitcase, and one checked bag sized suitcase.

    Transport
    • Highland Experience ToursOperatorWritten May 2025

Regarding baggage, due to the size of our vehicles, on our multi-day tours, we guarantee to carry one piece of luggage per passenger of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, with a maximum of 15 kg. This is equivalent to hand luggage allowed in an aircraft cabin, or one larger suitcase – up to a maximum of 20kg between two travellers. Due to the limited space available on our mini coaches, we are unable to guarantee that we would be able to carry larger suitcases than this. In addition to this one piece of stored luggage, you can also each bring one piece of carry-on luggage with you, which would usually be a small backpack to carry your essentials for the day.
