  While we were extremely pleased with the daily tour offerings (we have already completed very favourable reviews for the World Tours day trips) and the location of our accommodation, we wish to alert future travellers about two issues with the accommodation. Firstly, our accommodation was very basically furnished and a couch and mini-fridge would have been helpful. Secondly, there was an infestation of winged insects that appeared to come from the drains in the bathroom. Over our 4 night stay we killed, on average, 12 per day - despite being out for most of every day. Our biggest dissatisfaction, however, was with Campania Overland’s staff who immediately became defensive and attacked us when we made an innocent inquiry about breakfast. Campania Overland (CO) chose an accommodation which serves breakfast from 8:30 to 10:00 and advertised 4 breakfasts included in the package. However, for 3 of our 4 mornings we were instructed to be at a tour pick-up location prior to 8:10, so we missed 3 breakfasts due to Campania Overland’s scheduling and misaligned selection of accommodation. Most grievous was their complete unwillingness to accept any responsibility or to resolve the problem. We posed several polite requests which were met with snarky, aggressive responses that dumped the matter in our laps. We were made to feel that it was our fault that we weren’t getting breakfast although we had been bounced back and forth between the hotel and CO and had done whatever we had been instructed to do to resolve this issue. Bottom line: Campania Overland appear not to do adequate research in order to align scheduling nor do they stand behind what they promise to deliver. Note: Eventually, they did reimburse us $22 CAN for 3 breakfasts for two people, which was communicated to us in a curt, unapologetic message.Show more

  Dear travellers, We always thank those who choose us, even if after our availability they have the courage to say bad things towards us like those you wrote in this pseudo review. As for the question of breakfasts, we do not allow ourselves to publish the messages politely exchanged by us with you because we are people who are far too professional and respectful of anyone who chooses to purchase one of our packages. Let's start from the fact that the accommodations we choose for this type of package are always the same and therefore you have not had anything different from what other customers who preceded you have had and from whom we have only received compliments, for the breakfasts they too have had the breakfast boxes when they had to leave early and some accommodations couldn't guarantee the time, but everyone got what we sold, you would have had it too if instead of attacking us for days with messages, you had gone as per our promptly at the reception to collect the breakfast boxes, we called the colleagues from your accommodation several times to guarantee you the boxes before leaving and they very helpfully told us that you could go to them at the reception which you never did, unfortunately the Our staff does not go around serving breakfast to customers, they can only communicate with colleagues on site and agree on a solution suitable for the customer but the customer must also obviously do his part in certain situations. Having said this, we are happy that in the end, although it was not our fault, because we provided all the assistance possible even in the evening and night hours after the office to guarantee you breakfast, we still reimbursed you for the expense which you did not benefit from despite the our instructions. For insects, unfortunately we don't believe much in the issue because if for breakfast you allowed yourself to offend us and threaten us in any way by publishing untrue things about us as you did, imagine if you spent your nights and days killing insects in an accommodation that among other things we always supply and with which we have never had any problems. We thank you again for being our guests, evidently you did not accept the fact that you did not find a place in the other package from another provider that you wanted to change with our tour at the beginning and unfortunately we had to suffer the outburst of two people who they got a package they didn't entirely like.   Hotel room was large and comfortable = 5* Hotel location was difficult : NO buses, NO subway close by. We had to walk a LOT , even to reach meeting points for daily tours !! (2*) Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. (5*) TOUR to POMPEI / VESUVIO was excellent, considering the conditions... Excellent LUNCH and wine testing (5*) We did the VESUVIO hike, all the way to the TOP ! (5*) TOUR of NAPOLI was good. / We saw many more places, and took the subway (5*) Note : we had problems with the street food . Difficult to find good, relaxing places to have dinner in NAPOLI. ..Next time we will consult a TOUR GUIDE BOOK.Show more

  Dear, we didn't provide street food but only dinner and pizza lunch at the restaurant, so I don't know what you're referring to, as far as the hotel is concerned, it was chosen precisely because of its very central location, in the heart of Naples where in downtime where you don't have tours or anything else you can easily go out and reach the strategic points of the city, in fact many single/individual customers request similar hotels to be in the heart of the city, the meeting points were not far away, it's always a nice walk around the city of Naples, for this we place you right in the center, thank you in any case for having chose us and for your compliments, see you soon Best regards
