Nairobi to Meru National Park
Your safari begins in Nairobi with breakfast at the hotel before you head out toward Meru National Park. The drive itself is part of the experience, taking you from city streets through Kenya's varied terrain into the wilderness. Once you arrive at the lodge, you'll have lunch and then get out for an afternoon hike to explore the park. Back at the lodge, dinner comes with views of the African sky.

Meru National Park
After breakfast in Meru National Park, you'll spend the morning on game drives looking for elephants, lions, and Grevy's zebra around the park's waterways. Lunch happens back at the lodge, and then you're out again in the afternoon as the light changes across the landscape. The day finishes with dinner at the lodge.

Meru National Park to Samburu National Reserve
Following breakfast, you'll drive from Meru to Samburu National Reserve, which has a very different look—more arid and dramatic than what you've seen. After settling in and having lunch at your new lodge, an afternoon game drive takes you across the plains where you can find the Samburu Special Five and other wildlife along the Ewaso Ng'iro River. Dinner at the lodge gives you time to process the shift in scenery.

You'll leave Samburu after breakfast and drive to Sweetwaters Game Reserve, which sits below Mount Kenya. After lunch, an afternoon game drive includes time at the chimpanzee sanctuary and opportunities to see rhinos. Following lunch at your new lodge, an afternoon game drive takes you through forested areas and grasslands where you'll spot rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, and various birds. Dinner comes at the lodge.
