We currently have availability for three people travelling on 16 October. Unfortunately, we do not have triple rooms available, so the accommodation would need to be arranged as one twin or double room, plus one single room.

The overall tour was excellent. The pacing of the tour was great - just enough time to enjoy each location while not feeling rushed. There is a wide variety of locations on the tour, many of which we never would have considered going to if not for the tour. Our tour guide Carl was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us plenty of context for each location we visited along with good local meal options. Regarding the physical activity level, while the tour says low intensity, some days like day 3 (namely visiting Tintagel Castle) require more moderate physical activity to get the most out of the tour. For example, we climbed around 60 flights of stairs and took around 12,000 steps on day 3 during the tour activities. The basic accommodation could be improved. Out of all the places we stayed in on our broader UK trip, the accommodations on the tour were our least favourite - even though we mainly booked similar level accommodations outside of our tour. Overall, we recommend the tour and are grateful for the memories and experiences we had.Show more

The strength of the tour lay in the itinerary and, particularly, the skill, personality, and erudition of the driver-guide. His driving on Cornwall and Devon's narrow roads was stellar, as was his navigation around London. He was also sensitive to the diverse needs and interests of his 14 passengers, and took good care of us as clients while conveying the impression that we were friends touring together. That is a particular kind of professionalism: to standardize and experience without making it appear standardized. Within 24 hours he had learned everyone's name and remembered details about their backgrounds. But his particular strength was his broad knowledge of British history, culture, customs, and geography, and his ability to personalize our tour within the standardized packaging that such tours require. I have some knowledge of British history and he very seldom made a mis-step even on small details. Were we to do the tour again, we would probably opt for the hotel-level accommodation as the guest houses varied in quality of accommodation, cleanliness, and service (although never to an unacceptable level). That said, the accommodation locations were admittedly well chosen, always an easy walk away from amenities.Show more

If you're bringing two large suitcases, it's perfectly fine to store one securely at your accommodation in London and bring the other on the tour. The tour departs from Stance 3, Greenline Coach Terminal, Bulleid Way, Victoria, London, SW1W 9SH. Check-in closes at 09:00. Departure is at 09:15.
