Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll meet your guide at the airport where they're holding a nameplate with your name. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu where you'll get a full briefing about what's ahead on this trek. The day wraps up with a welcome dinner where you'll meet the rest of your group and start getting to know your team.

Kathmandu to Phakding
Your alarm goes off early at 5 am for the drive to the domestic airport. You'll board a scenic flight heading to Lukla, which takes about an hour and offers incredible views of the mountains as you get closer. Once you land, the actual trekking begins as you walk through Sherpa villages along the Dudh Koshi River. The hike to Phakding takes roughly 4 to 5 hours and you'll spend the night there adjusting to being at a higher elevation.

Phakding to Namche
After breakfast, you'll cross several suspension bridges and enter Sagarmatha National Park where you pay the entrance fee. The trail climbs steadily as you make your way to Namche, the main Sherpa town and a gateway to Everest. This portion takes about 5 to 6 hours of walking and you're gaining altitude noticeably, so the pace is measured and manageable.

Namche (Acclimatization Day)
Today you're staying put in Namche to let your body adjust to the thinner air at this elevation. You'll hike up to Everest View Hotel in the morning for great views of the surrounding peaks. Later, wander through Namche's market where local vendors sell everything from souvenirs to supplies, and stop by the small museums to learn about the region's climbing history and Sherpa culture.

Landmarks Everest View Hotel - Day 5
Namche to Tengboche
After eating breakfast, you'll head out through pine forests as the trail climbs toward Tengboche Monastery. This sacred monastery sits high on a ridge and serves as the spiritual heart of the Khumbu region. The walk to get there covers about 4 to 5 hours through varied mountain terrain, and you'll notice the landscape starting to shift toward higher alpine conditions.

Landmarks Tengboche Monastery - Day 6
Tengboche to Dingboche
You'll start early after breakfast and trek through small villages and farmlands where you see traditional stone walls and prayer flags. Ama Dablam peak towers above you during much of the day, creating an almost constant dramatic backdrop to your walk. The route toward Dingboche passes through scenic mountain terrain and takes most of the day to complete.

Dingboche (Acclimatization Day)
Another acclimatization day means you're taking it easier while your body continues adjusting. There's a short hike up to Nangkartshang Hill which gives you views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu all in one direction. You'll spend most of the afternoon resting and preparing yourself mentally for the higher elevations you're approaching in the coming days.

Dingboche to Lobuche
The trek to Lobuche covers roughly 4 hours through rocky terrain where you'll notice memorials marking the climbers who've passed through before. The landscape becomes more barren and alpine as you climb. By the time you reach Lobuche, you have clear views of Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks, and you're getting close to base camp territory.

- Day 9
Lobuche to Everest Base Camp
You'll start early and hike to Gorekshep, leaving most of your luggage behind since you're heading even higher. From there, it's a few more hours on foot to reach Everest Base Camp itself. Standing at the foot of the world's highest mountain is the central moment of this entire journey, and you'll have time to soak it in and take photos.

- Day 10
Everest Base Camp to Pheriche
Your alarm goes off very early so you can climb to Kala Patthar and watch the sun rise over Everest. The views from this vantage point are considered some of the best on the trek. After seeing sunrise, you'll return to Gorekshep for breakfast, then start your descent back down toward Pheriche where you'll sleep for the night.

Landmarks Kala Patthar - Day 11
Pheriche to Namche
The return from Pheriche to Namche is mostly downhill, which is easier on your legs even though it's still about 5 to 6 hours of walking. You'll experience Sherpa hospitality along the way as you pass through villages and stop at tea houses. The lower elevation also means the air feels easier to breathe, and you're retracing familiar sections of the route.

Namche to Lukla
This final trekking day brings you back to Lukla where you and your team gather to celebrate what you've accomplished together. You'll spend the evening with your Sherpa guide reflecting on the journey, sharing stories from the trek, and enjoying the camaraderie that builds when people go through something challenging as a group.

Lukla to Kathmandu
The scenic flight back to Kathmandu gives you one more chance to see the mountains from above. Once you're dropped at your hotel, the afternoon and evening are yours to do whatever appeals to you. Some people get a massage to work out their sore legs, others explore cultural sites or shop for souvenirs and gifts to take home.

Departure from Kathmandu
