Itinerary
- Day 1
Zimbabwe to Zambezi Region, Namibia
You'll leave Zimbabwe behind and drive west into Namibia's Zambezi Region, crossing the border into a landscape shaped by rivers and wildlife. By afternoon you'll reach your riverside lodge, get settled in, and head out on a sunset boat cruise along the Zambezi River. Keep your eyes open for hippos, crocodiles, and the variety of birds along the water.

- Day 2
Zambezi Region to Divundu
After breakfast, the drive continues through the Caprivi Strip past remote villages where you might catch sight of elephants and sable antelope. By early afternoon you'll arrive at your accommodation on the Okavango River near Divundu, positioned right on the riverbanks.

Popa Falls - Mahangu National Park
Start your morning with a scenic boat cruise heading upriver toward Popa Falls, where the Okavango tumbles over rocky outcrops creating a series of cascades and rapids. Watch for crocodiles, hippos, and birdlife along the lush riverbanks as you cruise. Back at the lodge you'll have time to relax, then in the afternoon head out in a 4x4 vehicle into Mahangu National Park searching for elephants, buffalo, hippos, and various antelope species.

Namibia to Okavango Delta, Botswana
You'll cross from Namibia into Botswana and travel south toward the Okavango Delta. The scenery shifts gradually from rural villages and open savannah into the lush watery channels the delta is known for. Your remote lodge sits on the northern delta fringe, and after settling in you'll go out for a sunset boat cruise before dinner, surrounded by the sounds of frogs and night birds.

Landmarks Okavango Delta - Day 5
Tsodilo Hills
An early breakfast gets you ready for a day trip to Tsodilo Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Botswana's most spiritually significant places. Known as the 'Louvre of the Desert,' these dramatic quartzite hills rise from the flat Kalahari and contain over 4,500 ancient rock paintings. You'll walk the trails and see rock art dating back thousands of years, returning to your lodge by late afternoon.

Okavango Delta to Maun
The route takes you from the Northern Okavango Delta down to Maun, Botswana's vibrant gateway town. Along the way you'll pass through smaller towns and villages that offer glimpses into everyday Botswana life.

Landmarks Maun - Day 7
Maun to Khwai Conservation Area
From here you'll be separated from your Nomad truck for two nights, so pack only what you need for the next 48 hours. Early risers have the option of a scenic flight over the Delta depending on time and weather. After your optional flight, you'll transfer in smaller safari vehicles to the Khwai Conservation Area. Your guide will brief you on what to expect from the afternoon mokoro excursion into the Delta, though this activity may shift to the following morning depending on the season.

- Day 8
Moremi Game Reserve
You'll spend the full day on safari in Moremi Game Reserve, traveling in 4x4 vehicles through this wilderness area. The reserve has diverse habitats ranging from wetlands and open water to grasslands and savannah woodland. You'll search for as many species as you can while navigating the bumpy roads, then return to Khwai by evening to share wildlife sightings with other travelers.

Khwai to Nata
After a final sunrise in Khwai, you'll head south toward Maun where you reunite with your Nomad truck. From there it's northeast toward Nata. Your overnight lodge is a unique spot where elephants roam freely through the unfenced grounds and drink from the natural waterhole near your chalet. Dinner comes with the sounds of the bush and passing wildlife.

Landmarks Nata - Day 10
Chobe National Park
Start early with a bush walk to get close to nature and spot animal tracks and subtle wilderness signs you'd miss from a vehicle. After the walk you'll head from Nata through the Kalahari sands to Kasane, arriving in time for lunch and a siesta. The afternoon brings a leisurely boat cruise through Chobe National Park on the river, where you'll get close encounters with the many elephants that drink from the water.

- Day 11
Kasane to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
You'll cross into Zimbabwe and travel a short distance to Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa Tunya meaning 'the smoke that thunders.' Spend much of the day viewing the spectacular falls at your own pace as the Zambezi River drops into the Batoka Gorge. The adventure town has optional activities including adrenaline sports, craft markets, and coffee shops for those wanting something more relaxed. An optional group dinner at a local restaurant is available in the evening.
